I try to see if it's even possible to do the WABDR on my Ruckus. Turns out you don't need 1000 cc's to have an adventure.

People did this on a horse at a much lower speed. Don't see why a Ruckus can't do it with enough time.
I wanna do this trip again with the Ruckus just don't have the time at the moment and been gone for a few months
Thank you for this good time.55 years ago my wife and I took our VW bus back into the Olympia NF. Best of times.
you might need a new supermoto.
Im getting one as a replacement for my Ebike since I don't own a car their not worth the price
@@newmobile1455 you won't regret it. I love mine. I almost want another one just to tinker with and then have one stock just for commuting
Same set up I got for moto camping . I ride a klx 230 s.o a.z. Trails to dusty high desert’s. There looks better.looks like Sasquatch coming in bear form.
Do you have lift links on this bike?
as far as sunsets go, I think us in Arizona have California beat.
Love the ruckus. However, the seat is unbelievably uncomfortable on longer rides !
Found that out very quickly as well lol
Looks like all 6 of the washers for the top shock mount belong on the right side not three and three that shock is cocked to the right.
Probably the orientation of the camera makes it look offset but it's straight up and down . If that was the case they should have added a large spacer and not 6 washers
Would the shock fit my DR200?
You could probably make it work but might have to get some different spacers for the top. The bottom might not fit though that might be the only big problem
@dualdorks sweet what is the full length measurement?
How the heck do you ride on sand? Whenever I do I always lose traction and end up having to push it
It's a big mental game at first. For me you'd think you should slow down for it but once you get some speed and momentum going you will find that spot where you start floating on the top layer. Tires also play a big part as well. Ideally you'd want a decent knobby tire.
Did it really go 10000 miles without a new top end before it blew?
Yeah
I've always loved the TW. Never owned one but I think you represented it well. Good work. Does it really get almost a 100 MPG?
Thanks for watching bud. It probably gets around 85mpg at most and for me if I'm hard on it probably around 70mpg. Stock tank (1.7 gallons) I found out the hard way it goes 122 miles .
👍
Love your videos, DD, but riding a T-Dub in HOT WEATHER all day long AT FULL THROTTLE is ill advised. That little air cooled engine will have a much shorter lifespan since it will run too hot. If you have to run for hours upon hours, keep it at 45 mph and stop often to let it cool off. It's supposed to be slow. Seeing as I weigh 270 lbs. and love to ride the T-Dub, I especially have to not run it that hard all day. I love moto-camping. Don't give that up! It's one of life's few pure pleasures.
I did find that out the hard way years ago . Poor TW seized up on me in Vegas on my way home to Ridgecrest. Good thing it didn't go crossing Death Valley . I been up in Washington State the last two years now and luckily heat isn't to much of an issue anymore
Road closed? How closed IS it.. sometimes not
The day I started they had a big forest fire start the same day and it closed off a section of forest roads I had to take. That's my luck lol. I did go down a little further and I got turned around by the Fire Crews. Normally they are opened up though with no restrictions.
I'm just laughing.. in a ride down the great river road in Iowa with my friend Greg on his Harley and me on my yamaha 250 scooter, we came up to a "ROAD CLOSED" sign. He shrugs "how closed, is it?" And we went around the barricades. A mile or so we came to a brand new bridge. With "road closed" on the other end. Facing the other way. Tongue in cheek.. closed is different to a car and a bike.
Brand of windshield? You like?
Tusk Universal. I like it a lot for when I'm normally commuting.
That looks fucking gay
Heck of a ride, I don't see too many videos of 600 lb adv doing this. Good choice of a Kawasaki KLX 300, I just purchased one last month and can't wait for winter to get over with. I live here in west central Illinois where the terrain is mostly soft dirt, thick brush and hardwood trees. By the way excellent video which I give it a 10. Could you tell me what drone you are using? Mine is 10 years old and I need a new one.
Thanks for watching bud. I got the DJI Maverick Air 2 . It's been my workhorse for the last three years now. Good platform and easy to use for beginners.
I was shopping for the rare DR200 when I ran into a Tdub. It changed my mind.
Tw lets us enjoy the scenery 😂
Thanks for posting your vids. Just got a 25 KLX300 myself and good to see what's possible
Where are the Canadian meadows ? Thank you !
Kennedy Meadows down in California. I used to live out that way while this video was made
Hey Brother. Happy to have you in the Department of the "Marine Corps" Y and 😄fellow T-Dub owner. Love the videos and greetings from N.Idaho.
Alright brother. I made it. I have watched every video, short, ect. Far as i can tell its everything to have put out. This has been an amazing journey you have taken us on. Thank you. Bad new tho. I forgot to like and comment on every video. Hold onto your hat guy. Your fixin to get a grip of likes and thumbs up in the comments. When you get back to it, cant wait to continue this ride. Thank you master dork. 😎
Thanks for watching man that's some dedication. Beer is on me if you happen to be in my area lol
Insert plugs into the frame to prevent moisture accumulation and rust.
Now THIS is a great freaking ruckus video! Well done homie! You displayed the wonders and joy this bike brings. Definitely getting me another one lol. I never tried adventuring with my old one, I only had it for 3 months before I was hit by a stop sign runner lol. Think I’ll start looking for another one now 😂
Was it the bags or is the front end out of balance? Looks like the front end is hopping up and down.
If I remember right I think that tire I had on was out of Balance slightly.
This was sick!
hey did you hear they are working on a rear tire for the dub over at BP!? I think he said end of Jan beginning of Feb! I cant wait!
Do you in Washington State have to have a motorcycle license to ride on the road s in north Carolina just liability insurance and yearly tags yep it amazing I don't need a license to drive on 90 percent of north Carolina roadways on a 49 cc
You don't need a motorcycle endorsement just drivers license for under 50cc bikes in Washington State. Still have to register it though.
I love mine it's so fun and reliable to go very far
Thanks for the great video! I Just did the same swap on my 93 I had to buy the intake boot on the airbox side for a 2001+ Bike. I went with a 125 main jet, I live in central Oregon. I used a 40” throttle cable that I had laying around but it is slightly to long I think a 36” would be about right. Bike runs great I highly recommend this swap.
Good to hear. I still got to get my bike slapped together. I been gone for a few months unfortunately
Great video. I didn't know Washington had deserts like this. I always thought of it as a foresty place, like that game Pacific Drive.
@dualdorks *NEW TW200 REAR TIRE OPTION* Bradley performance is developing a rear tire for the TW200 and it looks pretty gnarly.
Perfect camping trip! That was a bitchin 180 in the garage at the end too. 👍😎👍
Wicked!
That’s so wrong of Yamaha to have crappy spacers instead of a decent forks
You made it about as far as I did on my 109cc Honda Navi (scooter). I want to go back next summer to finish it. I hope you give it another attempt on the Ruck, maybe I'll see you on the trail.
@@izaacmp doing this on the Navi is also interesting lol. Almost bought one but I was dead set on getting the Ruckus
the ruckus looks like a fun machine, and I’m impressed with how fast it can go for being only 50cc. Did you ride across the state to get to the bridge of the gods, or were you dropped off?
По моему заднее колесо не докачено.
You say the brakes are not good. I'm surprised you don't upgrade to discs.
That's probably going to be the move somewhere down the road
I wanna follow your footsteps on my '69 Trail 90.
Trail 90 would be awesome for the BDR. Wish I bought one a few years back
