TIBURON BUILD PART #11 | NEW RIMS | ROLLING AND PULLING FENDERS

  • I HATE BLACK RIMS!
    So then why did I install them on my car you might ask? Well, ultimately the Cosmis Racing XT-206R rims are the rims I wanted, only in white. However those rims brand new would cost me an arm and a leg. This is a budget build so I am doing this on as little money as possible. So I found a set of used ones for half the price and threw on a set of used tires as well. Half the price, can't beat that!
    A few details about the install...
    This was my first time rolling and pulling fenders. Boy did it take me a while to get the hang of it. I spent hour and hours on my first day just on ONE fender! But as time passed I started to learn the ins and outs of it. I would say I did okay for my first project. I maxed out the camber on the front wheels to help with the fitment. I will be sending the car off for an alignment this week as well. Something I did not show in the video, except on the back fenders, was I had to grind off a bracket in each wheel well. I had to do this because I couldn't get a proper roll without doing so. I'd highly advise to do this if you have a Tiburon that needs fenders rolled and pulled. Lastly, if this is your first time, BE PATIENT. It's a tough skill to learn, at least it was for me. I got frustrated rather quickly. But you will get it, just take your time.
    But wow is there so much more to be done. Get rid of the orange, widebody, cf hood, lights, spoiler, etc. Looking forward to getting it all done!
    Thanks for watching, let me know what you think of the new wheel and tire setup in the comments down below!

    Hello Taylor, i follow your hyundai coupe saga since the begining , and i want to ask you just one question, after this mods on the chassis ( coils,wheels,bars), can this car handle good on corners? Thank you from Portugal

    • @taylorjhaug
      @taylorjhaug  ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally, I say yes. It’s underpowered but handles nicely. Especially after the front and rear strut bars, lowering it as well. In its stock form it struggles but any car does stock. So yes it does well after mods!

      Ok thank you , i have a 2005 tib but with the boring 1.6 engine ( this engine don't came out in the us) , now i'm looking for a v6 for yers, YERS! , but here in Portugal its hard to find one in good shape...
      Nice job , continue your hard work just like you always have done
      Thank you

    That's insane you managed to fit that much wheel and tire on it! 9.75" is so wide. I was just hoping to fit 8.5" on mine, glad to see I can have some room to spare. Very helpful to see how you rolled the fenders and had to cut the brackets, it gives me much more confidence in trying to get as good of fitment as I can myself, as I also have no experience with it. How are those coilovers treating you? I will probably order myself some br series very soon.

    • @taylorjhaug
      @taylorjhaug  ปีที่แล้ว

      They are 9.5” wide, I wrote that down wrong. Nonetheless they are MUCH wider than stock. I love the fitment. The coilovers are great. They feel awesome 👏 I’ll do a video review soon!

    Hey man, love to see someone doing a Tiburon build step by step, your vids are solid! I have 2 Tiburons, an 04 2L(My first car) and an 02 2.7L (my current car). I LOVE them. What size are the rims and tyres?

    • @taylorjhaug
      @taylorjhaug  ปีที่แล้ว

      Rims are 18x9.75. I believe the tires are 235/40r18
