But the rest of me is just, "oh yeah that's gonna be crispy af" and realizes that eating two is also an option.

Oh crap! I wish I had watched this before yesterday when I made individual pot pies for our Sunday dinner and I attempted to cook the crust on the bowl while in the oven. Needless to say, the top crust was done long before the pot pie. It is brilliant that you cooked the crust individually! This is why I love your TH-cam channel!
I have a similar recipe i use shallots instead. I use a drop of white wine in the crust instead of lemon juice. And i use some thyme with the parsely and crack some pepper.

Then I saw John's smiling face with a regular tres leche cake recipe, then I discovered a universe of videos from the Preppy Kitchen and I'm just in love with all the videos and recipes. Needless to say, where now I'm searching for more ideas when it comes to bake and cook. This is great!

I made this recipe and it's SOOOO good! Store bought puff pastry compliments the filling better than the pie crust recipe in the video. This pie crust recipe makes it feel like something's missing. Anyway, it turns out that puff pastry is much tastier and easier for this recipe.

This is my favorite meal. I used to get this meal at Marie Calendars when they were here but they closed their doors. So, now I van make my own now so happy for this recipe!!!!!
Accidentally added self-rising flour (😬) and it still came out beautifully. I, too, am scared of pastry dough (BOO! 👻) so I just broke off two thirds of a puff pastry sheet while frozen, cut them into 3x3 squares, used some of the heavy cream as an “egg” wash, sprinkled them with rock salt and pepper and stuck them in a 400 degree oven, still frozen. Eighteen min later, beautiful squares of golden puff pastry sat atop my Chicken Pot Pie. It’s funny how the less fussy I am the better the food turns out. Ah, the JOY of cooking. Thanks for the fantastic recipe! 🍗🧅🥕🧄 🧈🥧 😘

Salt doesn't change the boiling point of water appreciably. Sea water boils at around 213.2ºf vs 212º for freshwater and you added like 5 grams (a teaspoon) to a liter and a half, so 1/10th as much effect as full saltwater.
I love watching videos on food like most people but I have to say Mr. P is different, he literally explains not only in his videos but also his online recipes why he adds things e.g salt to water changes temperature, I never knew that! My mum never told me either, so here I am learning something new, he's done the same with Pizza dough and all the different types of dough and what they would taste like, talk about a clever cook!
Can’t wait to try this recipe out, as chicken is my favourite meat to eat. I love your style of cookery as you are so like me , a light version of OCD. The only difference I would add for flavour is about three slices of bacon finery chopped. Cook this first pan you will cook your chicken, this adds a huge flavour. Lol, I got a super sharp Smeg knife recently, and have cut through my index fingernail many times, just missing my finger. Needless to say, since I couldn’t cut the whole nail off, it was catching on delicate fabrics until the nail grew out. I do cut up veg like a pro, but can’t seem to tuck my fingers in.
