So there is a 2021 version and now a 2023 version? Correct? Is 2023 better cuz im about to buy the 2021 I just know now that there is a 2023. Please answer me thanks
The pre 23 Fuego's are great, but the body will flex if you catch a large fish, thus stripping gears. Again big redfish, rockfish, and a Cow nosed Ray type. But for Freshwater bass, trout and smaller Saltwater fish, amazing reel. Very easy to maintenance. The 3000 and 4000 never had that issue. For my stripped 2500, I just replaced main gear and pinion gear. Very cheap fix. The new 2023 body will not flex this hurting the gears.
What kind of fish you was catching with that 2500 size reel ?
@paulitaipalus4986 I typically target Speckled trout, and in that area slot to over slot Red Drum will show up. Rockfish show up as well. When targeting larger fish, the 3k and 4k are used. The 2500 with larger fish flexes. The flex and the fact I caught lots of fish in all my 2500 contributed to the failure
So the new 2023 Daiwa Fuego reels are some of the best reels available. That said bought a Abu Garcia Revo Premier size 30 for 99,00 euros. Considering the price and quality which one would you choose? Personally I do not think that there are no wrong answers.

daiwa daiwa why a damn t knob on a 2500 size... and hope the play is reduced had 2 fuegos and 2 ballistic lt of the first series... not impressed the ballistic is not so much beter than fuego.. feeels the same all around and the price is a bit far away.. buuuut.. from shimno last 15 years .. im done .. 4 vanfords broken 6 months freshwater and only perch.. bearinsg go bad.. screws gets loose rotor wobblöe and the handleplay is rediculus... vanford ARE CRAP.. fuego is a better reel.. all reels under 200 euros in shimano daiwa is better better better ..better bail on the daiwas..and no enoying shimano bail click sound.. buut exist lt is not there yet to feel and performe as a stella.. and vanqusih
