- As soon as I heard this song in the show I knew I had to cover it. I'm a huge fan of Thom in the books already, but I think he might be my favorite character in the show so far for obvious reasons.
Your voice in this is like a whiskey poured into a glass of gravel. Somber and smooth, fantastic brother.
That song was such an amazing introduction to both Thom and Lews Therrin. And great foreshadowing 👀

@no0orano im reading the first book now and am extremely upset Thom didn't get more screentime. I loved his character in the show but the book has him there from like chapter 3 and I'm in middle of book and he's still there
The series was so bad compared to the book but Thom and this song were perfection.

WoT and Critters fandom crossover is everything I never knew I needed

Yes there were so many good songs in the books. Admittedly I am more looking forward to hearing The Band of the Red Hand singing Jack O’ The Shadows than anything else!

This is exactly as I imagined Thom's voice. It's so rich and deep, and it perfectly embodies when Thom puts on his 'performer' voice to make his voice resonate through a room. Light, I love Thom from the books.

Almost certain it’s about Llews Therin, with the references to the Breaking of the World
While the song itself is certainly about LTT, it is possible Thom could have been thinking about his nephew.
The song was pretty clearly referring to Lews Therin Telamon, Ishamael healing him of the taint to remember how he killed everyone he loved (can't forget), crying out as he kills himself and creates Dragonmount (I can still hear the way he cried for the ones he was missing...) Saying how they broke the world, and were sealed by a prison of their making, which is a clever double entendre as LTT both made the prison the dark one is sealed in, AND thereby created the taint, which caused The Breaking of the World. It STILL could have specials meaning to Thom because of his nephew (or son, who knows, new adaption who dis) recently being gentled/killed, but the song itself is certainly about LTT.

I think so too, though I doubt Ishamael would have sung it as a lament. I picture him laughing as he sings it
