Higher ups wanted to cut it. So glad they didn't. It was such a powerful moment and summarized the spirit of Manetheren in one scene. I had goosebumps during that scene

@@HelloNewman the music in the books is often key to making the world feel lived in, so I love seeing more music tied to this adventure! I am missing the originals from the book so far, but maybe they will make a n appearance in future seasons. ( thankfully there is at least 1 channel that has produced some versions to sing along to)

As a newer WoT fan-reading AMoL right now-I greatly appreciate this extended take on a wonderful piece.
As songwriter, I greatly appreciate the sheer QUALITY of said extension. It's not easy to add a verse to someone else's song and make it sound this RIGHT, and you have done it.
It makes me even more excited for my incoming condensor mic, with which I will record my take another WoT song.
Fantastic! And thank you, but I can’t take full credit for those second verse lyrics. I stole a few lines from the TH-camr in the credits, and I chose to mash two separate verses of hers together. I agree though, they sound like they COMPLETELY belong.
Manetheren does get referenced by Tam, he thinks of the two rivers' men as a thorn to the Dark one's foot, and a bramble to his hand. Those are the same words that Moiraine uses in her Manetheren story at the beginning of the books

I’ve followed WoT since 2003, my favorite fantasy series ever. For all it’s faults it has some of the greatest scenes ever penned. This truly made me feel like I was reading the Eye of the World for the first time.

Always found it rather touching that even though the history of Manetheran is lost, some gleeman set the story to music. The history may be forgotten, but the song remains.
The flute cover with soft beats and the lyrics take you to the battle of Menetheren🔥 You can literally feel the strong bloods of Menetheren facing the trollocs with their backs at the river side🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for listening. I borrowed the second verse from another TH-camr, Quailypoes, who wrote several new verses. I mixed and matched a few lines. One minor mistake I made was saying “river” rather than “rivers.” Either way, I can’t claim credit for those lyrics. I agree, though, they are perfect.
