Blacksmith, Blacksmith (D&D Folk Song)
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 16 มิ.ย. 2024
- Pike's song is in the works and coming soon, worry not. But folks seemed to like this song idea I came up with after seeing a rhythmic smithing video on TikTok and were demanding a full version, so if that's why you're here . . . here you go!

Lyrics:
Blacksmith, blacksmith, forge me a blade
Of the strongest steel
That when I strike my enemies
Their wounds may never heal
Blacksmith, blacksmith, of your blade
Legends there shall rise
For the blade that you will forge for me
Will deliver us from the night
The night
Strike, turn, hammer and burn
The bellows teach and the fires learn
Iron, oil, temper and toil,
The forge ain’t hot if your blood don’t boil
Blacksmith, blacksmith, forge me a blade
To slay that evil heel
A sword that gleams like diamonds
That can make the darkness kneel
(Chorus)
Hear that anvil ring
Echo song of the hammer swing
Shape, grind, polish and shine
The world ain’t ready for a work so fine
Blacksmith, blacksmith, forge me a blade
For to purge the blight
Which creeps upon this world we love
To take from us the light
(Chorus)
"the forge ain't hot if your blood don't boil" goes so insanely hard it should be a crime
👍
Honestly, it almost sounds like a part of an incantation
@@kreigsmanhanz It does and I mean in my homebrew it is now canonically.
Can we get the context behind what this incantation is for in your Homebrew @@Keon753
I am a blacksmith and there are not worng.
POV: A bard rolling a Nat 20 to persuade for a blade to be made in the domain of legends and divines.
Alternatively, a Bard who is a blacksmith, their instruments their hammers and anvils
@@twilightwings21even better a Dwarven Forge domain cleric that has mastered his craft to such an extent that he's basically level 20 Forge cleric but then moradin himself blesses his favorite servant with the ability to multiclass above 20 and goes into bard with the mentality of I'm already the best Craftsman in the land I might as well make the Forge Bello out hymns to moradin as I work so he starts working his Forge with rhythm in his strikes
@@jesseshedd7865 the perfect mixture of two types of art
@@twilightwings21 Dwarven Drummer?
100% behind that
"My craft?" >slowly draws hand across micro-anvil on his belt "Though the only metal here are my instruments- the *sound* itself is my offering. From debilitating curses that make a Dwarven Bender feel like a blessing to most poisons, upto anvil beats so in tune with the flow of *Melody* itself your body and soul are relit and reinvigorated."
>meanwhile its just a dragon, absolutely entranced in the dudes story and song
@@twilightwings21 I'm actually making two subclasses for the artificer and bard where the sole purpose is to explore the blurred line between the two.
remember for every adventurer that slices down a villian there is a miner that got the ore, a blacksmith that forged the blade and a enchanter that blessed it.
And someone that mistreated the villain before he was one.
thus every victory is technically a team effort even if the hero solos the BBEG
And a lumberjack that cut the wood for the handle and a artisan that made the tools for the blacksmith
What if the hero is a warforged is it still a team effort or a build a hero lol
@@boom350phBlacksmith's in this setting typically make all their own tools, or either inherit them.
“I am going into battle blacksmith and i need your strongest blade.”
“My blades are too strong for you traveler.”
"No blade is too powerful for me blacksmith."
That's the challenge I'm willing to face, for only hellfire shall burn me away
In games this called as insufficient level and stats
As I'm a farrier's son, and beginning my smithing journey in earnest, this speaks to my soul
May you forge a blade to strike down the gods!
But for real, good luck!
May your nails hold fast so that your fire shod hooves never take a lame step. - Sincerely, a grateful horsewoman
Folks these are some seriously awesome well wishes/blessings
@@kenhouston814 We value those who work with their hands. If I was taller and stronger I would've gone to school to be a farrier, but I became a vet nurse instead.
Welp "cracks knuckles" thats my que to make a blacksmith character whos dream is to create a weapon of legend
That is my que to make a blacksmith character who must gather and destroy the legendary weapons he created before the Villain gets their hands on them.
Muramasa energy vs Kagurabachi energy
I play a goblin Forge Cleric, who hopes to forge the weapons, who are able to kill the dragon, who killed her foster parents.
Hmm, good idea BTW. My main RP OC are pretty good at smithing 🤔
I am working on it
My Descent into Avernus party has a forge cleric whose entire build is centered around making sure we have all of the best equipment we could desire.
Naturally, I had to immediately share this with the whole party.
Hell yeah! I always love those kinda characters. I played an artificer whose whole deal was distributing magical items and potions to the party.
I'm playing Curse of Strahd as a dragonborn forge cleric.
The village of Barovia was just overrun by an army of undead.
Our allies say there numbers are around 500 and they're marching towards Valakki as we speak. They will reach the Eastern gate by midnight tomorrow.
My cleric, having a full day to prepare will protect the city with multiple zones of Forbiddance and a few glyphs of warding.
When we start hearing rumble and feel the ground shaking from the approaching horde, my cleric will sing this as the verbal components of the motivational speech spell.
I'm a blacksmith and this song was fire ( intended ). I'm adding this to my shop playlist.
Playlist please!
me too
What else you got on the playlist?
I need to make a Playlist with this song in it for the workshop I go to
I am a blacksmith aswell
This is how the thematic of a legendary sword feels, however when you get it in game it's +1.
Legendary is a rarity tier in 5E. It's +3s, or a Sword of Sharpness.
But over the course of the campaign, it gets upgraded through mystical means. By the end of the campaign, it has become a truly legendary weapon
I feel such a somber tone from this song.
I imagine that each time the chorus repeats, it’s the next generation of hero coming to the aging blacksmith, asking for a sword only to be cut down like all the rest.
Wow that interpretation is amazing and dark
Nice read. I'll take this one with me for a bit, friend.
😭
That’s bleak.
@@brycealthoff8092it definitely is but also it makes for a hell of a story the blacksmith that was once an adventurer who eventually got old enough to get out of that life and all he seeks to do is equip the next generation of adventurers so that way they have a better chance of making it to his age and retiring but instead all he sees is a bunch of naive gung ho wannabe Heroes that are too cocky for their own good so he watches them go to their death with a tear in his eye as he warns them it isn't worth it boy put down the sword pick up a hammer or a farmer's plow start a family be smarter than I was don't keep chasing that thrill but again and again he gives them a sword and he never sees them again and he builds a memorial beneath his Forge to every Warrior that never returns
A song for all us blacksmiths, love it, it completely encompasses my dreams and ambitions.
👍
As one of the blacksmiths from the tiktok sample - thank you for making something so epic out of our little video! Straight on the playlist!!
Hell yeah! Glad you enjoyed 💪
@@ChaseNoseworthy This song has given me so much inspiration for my D&D campaign I'm planning!
Thanks for making such an amazing song!! 👍
This may be my new favorite blacksmith song. I love how this one isn't a blacksmith singing, but rather a warrior who respects the art just as much as the smith.
I'm an Elder Scrolls nerd, and Orcs there have a tradition of mothers passing the knowledge of smithing to their daughters.
I imagine this as a song sang by Forgemothers as they teach their children how to hammer their first blade on the anvil.
Hail kinsman, let's not forget the male orcs pass combat skills from generation to generation
I miss my blacksmith paladin....I would totally have had this song on repeat while forging for the party.
I hope this will drop on Spotify soon. My travel playlist needs this.
The energy, fire and strength is amazing. Your originals are full of magic.
I SCREAMED when i saw the comment that you heard our calls! I am the happiest D&D Player alive rn! Wished so much for my Blacksmith Sheryl that i find a song for her and here it is. This is such a banger and i am in love with it! Amazing how you did that!
God I wish I could like this video twice. Your music is incredibly underrated.
I just realised I've been listening to this on loop for the past five hours
Well, that’s obviously not long enough. Come back after 50 /j
Go for a good five days of smithing then come back 😂
@@LukeParido-p4y I've started singing it at work, does that count?
This is so beautiful and I just imagine my character forging a blade and every hit becomes more and more powerful while remembering everything that has happened to them and knowing the future and all it holds rests on this blade. And that’s so moving 😢😩😭
This knight never forgets who forges his weapons and armor
Hell yeah a full version!
Sent chills through my body! I have a blacksmith-in-training friend who will Love this song, and it's going to him right now!
Inspired me to play D&D as a blacksmith who wants to create the greatest item to have ever been forged.
My DnD character was adopted and raised by a dwarven blacksmith, this has got to be his theme song.
DnD character i'm assuming?
@@MathiasnygYes, my phone is dyslexic and for some reason random words disappear sometimes.
One of my favorite characters I've played was a Goliath paladin of Moradin who was raised from infancy by a cleric of Moradin. Always loved visiting his "dad" but hated the roof at Father's forge.
To shine like diamonds that forces darkness to kneel.. and the drop in pitch on "kneel" rumbled through my soul.
Brother this makes me wanna take up blacksmithing again, amazing song as always
Ngl bro this makes me wanna finish the Damascus knife I was making months ago. Glad I got that fire to create in me again! XD
Chase, that growl at the end of the first verse...
Get this Bard to 30k subs before the end of 2024 pls!
I'm just now noticed that on this channel only 22k... jesus, it's really unfair
@@user-wk7kx3or7w Yeah he is making songs with many creators with more subscribers like Colm and Rachel, but he doe not have too many himself. I believe its cause he makes songs slower than others, but the songs are so good cause of that. Also he makes still songs in his style and less about things that are popular and covers.
@@user-wk7kx3or7w 2 weeks later, he's at 24k. We may have to up that goal. 😊😊😊
After listening to this song a few times, I can say with conviction that this chap Chase is definitely worthy of a nose.
If this is the skill required to have a nose, then how the hell do I have one?!?!
@@twilightwings21 You might have one, but that doesn't mean that you are noseworthy ☝
This. Is. PERFECT! One of my dnd players is playing a black smith thank you soooooo much!!!!
You might me the artist who puts the most emphasis on beautiful lyrics above anything that I have ever listened to, at least besides the likes of Ren and Stupendium. Your lyrics are masterful: I strongly remember you putting out Weight In Gold, I listened to it and thought 'It's pretty good, but the melody is not up to snuff and it doesn't rhyme amazingly.' Foolish me, it is now one of the most listened-to songs on my list and easily my second favourite song of yours behind (fittingly) Far from Me.
I won't sully this comment with one of those 'Oh, you are so underrated and should be more popular!' because we all know that already and will just sound disingenuous, but I hope you realize the fanbase you have accrued is incredibly loyal and will slowly but surely grow with time.
Thank you for making such heartfelt songs.
I must admit, I was lukewarm towards some of your earlier works, but this one and Eternal Malady are now some of my favorite songs
Just got recommended this song and channel, today's a good day
HOW CAN THIS MAN BE SOOOOOOOOOO FREAKIN GOOOOOOOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I believe Hollywood would blow up at the sheer amount of talent that you hold. You are amazing. Good, sir..
Certified bop. I've listened to this at least fifty times now
Love this!!!! I played a blacksmith character back in December in a mini campaign and I can't wait to add this song to her playlist on Spotify!!!
*"WhEre'S tHe BlAcKsMiTh"*
Now that's a phrase I haven't heard for a long time.
@@ethanburn8574 Do you know him?
Mark: “Of course I know him. He’s me”
A masterwork blade forged on commission out of special materials to then be enchanted by the party wizard from early game until end game was great in 3.5

I love it so much that you are making your original music!! And I love the video lighting too.
I was literally just thinking about a DND character that was a blacksmith, how do you always have a song for every character? Seriously, I listened to winding roads on repeat, then eternal malady, looks like now it’s gonna be this for a few weeks. Keep up the amazing work!
This is perfect for the blacksmith in my party!
I know not what you have done to my soul with this creation of lyrics and music sir but I thank you profusely for its making; I am irreplaceable changed and am better for it❤

Stars, this is wonderful, it needs more attention! Setting this on repeat because it's EXACTLY up my alley!!
That's magnificent. 10 blacksmith's hammers out of 10.
I love this. Absolutely going on a playlist for a cursed/blessed cleric that's a smith
The TH-cam algorithm has delivered unto me a blessing this day. This is incredible, the fact that your channel has so few subscribers is *criminal.*
I knew I recognized that voice when I saw this on tiktok!
Amazing the feel of hammer striking steal, and the heart of the blacksmith ringing out.
the specific vibrations from the different pieces of this song effect me in different ways but mostly i feel blissful. truly blissful
Every song you make is fire, this is incredible
Currently playing a Forge Cleric/Artificer with him growing up as a blacksmith and this resonates with me. Its also kind of a somber song, too, you only come to the blacksmith if you need something, and whatever they make will have you be famous, despite it being their work. It's something my character experienced growing up, and its made him both lonely and wary to trust others to keep their promises, plus the fact that the townsfolk didn't like him so much because he was both a tiefling (adopted by humans at that) and a transgender man (female to male).
What an epic song 🤩 This sounds like something a Dwarf or human warrior would sing ⚔️ Well done 👍🏼 and I’m absolutely adding this one to my Dwarf kingdom playlist 🪨
Been a smith for years and this is my new favorite song
Beautiful song, earworm of a melody!
That was amazing Chase! Great job brother! ❤
DAMN CHASE! I absolutely love that rich, velvety toneeee. SO good.
I thank you for this compliment, oh Queen of Sapphics
My man, you can't just drop absolute bangers like this out of nowhere xD. This is amazing and I'm so happy that you're making your own music that isn't inspired by Critical Role. Can't wait to see more in the future.
My personal favorites of your songs are the critcal role ones. But i really wish more of your. On critcal role song got attention they are so good
Truly exceptional. Great song, great presentation, great voice, and the tempo is perfect.
This is amazing. This guys voice is just crazy.
God I love these so much!
This song hits so hard it's unreal! This is def going onto my smithing playlist.
I was part of my family business once making, motors, startups, armatures, ect. This is the kind of music I would play as I worked it made me happy and focus as if I was a true blacksmith at his forge.
And this song is definitely getting used in my D&D campaign
You are absolutely amazing keep up the awesome work!!!!!!!
As always, incredible work!
Thanks for being a huge inspiration!
The dwarven forgemaster crafting a weapon that can slay a god.

Absolutely amazing great fantastic amazing song 🎵 love it
Absolutely amazing song straight onto my playlist
Soul, clasped in a song we all sing!
This has inspired a campaign of soul bonded items of legend that lends their strength to a group of people of the new age to carry their world through the coming tragedies.
My second favorite "Blacksmith Themed" song (and I have many of theese!). Your's voice is just perfect to this.
God DANG. I got literal chills from listening to this! This is a great song and first I've seen or heard from you, great job!
Absolutely love this.
I listened to this 127 times
when the bard really wants that discount
god this makes me want to toil on the forge for days on end to wring my irons and make steel sing
That's a very beautiful song, I love the use of the percussion. Also, it almost feels like this is a prayer, a great vibe for this song in my eyes.
Ok this banger is going in the favorite music folder
As soon the song started I knew this would be epic!! Your songs are always so good! ❤
I do like your D&D songs out of all of the songs I’ve listened to so far. You have a lovely voice and range. I look forward to your future art.
