Great review. I have the Control 14mm and the Jelly Bean 14mm. I have some weight on the Control and play very well with it. Love the pop and hand speed. I find myself playing with the naked JB14 lately. It’s lightning fast.
Great intro! MKBHD did something similar with the new iPhone dropping into his hand. Hope it didn't go through the same abuse as your paddle on Instagram! 😂
Thanks for the lead tape placement recommendation. I main the mach 2 forza 16 but keep pulling this one out and shelving it again. I have tried several different lead tape setups and didn't like them; But tonight tried your lead tape setup and after missing several drops with the Mach 2 I pulled this back out. I think it consistently hits drops better than the volair. A little slower hands, maybe a smidge worse ball placement (but that's only after playing with the jellybean a few times). Better dinking, much more power on drives and just overall better soft game than the mach 2. How do you think the jellybean 16 stacks up against your mach 2 16? I think the jellybean offers more without sacrificing control, whereas usually you have to make some tradeoffs.
I believe the one thing that's hard for you to test is grit durability. Having said that, my Jelly Bean's grit showed more degradation in a week's worth of play than my Volair Mach 2 Forza's after 3 months. It could be I received a Jelly Bean with defective peel ply?!
I’m always having newer players or their spouses, parents, etc.. ask what’s a good paddle for newer players that’s under $100. Is this one that you all would recommend? I saw and appreciated Ignatowich video emphasizing in todays changing game playing with a paddle that has as much power as you can control, in part bc not good for beginners or midlevel players to take big tennis like swings with backswing and such. More errors there. better to begin with a paddle that makes you use good short form. I used to recommend super soft control paddles for beginners, but these days I’m rethinking. Considering all this, Is this jelly bean good solid middle of road in terms of has a little power, but not too much, under $100 recommendation for newer players?
I heard Ignatowich say that, … but seems the answer is actually “it depends?” - kid? - tennis player? - do you want them to acquire kitchen skills as highest early priority? - endpoint isn’t always defined by most power you can control, my wife likes some power assist, I want less power with my faster swing speed, we both come from tennis - baseline control doesn’t come from shortening swing through contact and follow through, but we can shorten backswing because we don’t need full body rotation like tennis. Guiding not good in golf swings, tennis swings and pickleball swings If that beginner starts watching these paddle reviews, doesn’t really matter … it will be a different paddle in 2 months. 😂
Why do you draw a distinction between "stability" and "the paddle being pushed around by the ball"? Isn't the definition of stability just a paddle's ability to resist being pushed around by the ball, whether by twisting from off-center shots or otherwise?
Any Monarch Control owners also try either the Jelly Bean or All Court and have an opinion to share? I've been using the Control for 3 or 4 months and it's great but I saw another reviewer said this week that they are discontinuing it. I've been curious to try one of the others anyway, especially since when they were introduced pretty much all reviewers insisted the All Court and Jelly Bean were both better than the Control.
Probably my favorite video to date, not because this is going to be my next paddle but the new translations and B Roll are Top Tier! Keep them coming!
love this paddle, Dave at 11six24 cooking up some great things!
INTROOOOO 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jelly Bean!! Really creative intro, love it.
Rapidly becoming the Marques Brownlee of Pickleball and I'm here for it 👍

I picked one up a few weeks ago. I love it. Jelly Bean 16mm
I have 20 paddles and currently chose to use this paddle. Everyone has different preferences/needs but def a top tier paddle for price.
Nice looking intro. Somebody has been working on their ATP's.
Great review! Any plans to review the Thrive Surge? Sounds very comparable to DBD.
I’m enjoying my Monarch All Court paddle. Your discount code worked, so 🙏
Intro better than some paddle ads
Been my main for a couple weeks. Love it.

Monarch All court review incoming?
I'd love that too.
The joker paddle from pickleball poker is a gen 2 for $75 before discount code. That is the king of value
Thanks for your review.

@@65atBestPBha! All so true!
+1 for using dry ice in your b-roll
Fun fact. It wasn’t dry ice 😉
@@AizecOlson +2 for using Taylor Swift's fog machine in paddle reviews :-)
I'm new to pickleball, but 'widebody' means wide paddle face? Or is it the thickness i.e. 16mm?
Paddle face. You can have a wide body in different thicknesses.
@@khpickleball Gotcha.. thanks!
Good starter paddle
@@iLuveKatsupif you have any questions ask away lol
All courts even better
SW 108 for the 14mm also or just 16mm? Thanks
No one’s gonna mention the intro?? Huge ups
Is there a difference when peel ply is used on top of fiberglass?
Which Tungsten tape did you use... 0.5 gram or 1 gram per inch? Thanks!
Good catch! Forgot to clarify. 0.5g
@@PickleballStudiohow much weight was used on each side?
@@TimS923 about a 5 inch strip on each side. Roughly 0.2oz
Great review! For the weight you said 5 inch each side. How many inches from the handle did you start the tape? Thanks.
@@PickleballStudioalso how did the specs change. TW SW etc

JB Hurache in the works 👀
What is the promo code please?
J2ti review plz?
whats up guys
Vatic Pro Prism Flash is a Hybrid shape. Monarch Jelly Bean is a Wide Body. So not really an apples to apples comparison.
Maybe I'm wrong here but they want $138.00 for the paddle and with your code comes to $124.23. Where did you come up with $90??
Are you perhaps looking at the Monarch All Court instead of the Monarch JellyBean? The JB is $99.99 & you get $10 off if you use a code.
You’re looking at Canadian price - $99USD
@@SnapShot83 Damn VPN. Thanks!
My 11six24 never smokes like that. Lol

What is that title? These names are getting out of hand lol.
