Good feedback, thanks. I'll keep including that section, and I'll also include the new SW and TW with the modifications (I forgot to do that in this video)
The JellyBean 14mm is an amazing paddle as well. Was almost my favorite and then tried the AllCourt and that quickly took the top. I would love a 14mm version.
Good analysis, I would like you to do a review on the paddles around $100, because I think that one does not need to buy $200-300. Dollars paddles to play well. I know that you have done several analysis but in 2024 a lot of paddles have come out and that creates confusion. 🤔😉Thanks
Me too. Added 3g at 10&2 and it’s great. Pop is excellent. My backup is now a 14mm Jelly Bean with no weight that I use for the last hour of play when I’m already starting to get tired.
I hope you’re making some good commissions on all the paddles you review because you are most deserving! Honestly, your videos are a fantastic resource for the pickle ball community.
Great review!! How would you compare this with the Volair Mach 2 Forza? Which do you think is the better option? After this review, I’m not sure which one I should go with?
Great review as always! I have not taken the plunge to switch towards wide body/standard shape paddles but have been intrigued with the sudden surge of it. Question: Given the knowledge of upcoming releases, should I purchase the Monarch now or should I wait for the Neonic Flare? Or the new CRBN paddle? Background: Used to main the Hurache CFC 16mm. Now using TKO C 12.7 as my daily driver. Considering to switch back to an all court style of paddle and play. Thanks in advance!
I just got the Flare and haven't hit with it yet, so I can't give any advice there at the moment. The new CRBN paddles will be excellent power paddles, but who knows when they will be released. But there's also the Ripple, coming next month, which will be offered in their new R2 standard shape. Again, I haven't hit with that one yet, but it's getting some buzz
@@johnkewpickleball Got it! Will be on the lookout for now then. Hope to hear from you and Eddie about the Neonic Flare once you guys get to play with it. Thanks again for all you do!
What's up with your database? It potentially could be a better format but search features don't populate results and paddles I'm interested in aren't in the 10 on home screen. Both phone and laptop have had this problem since the new layout was released.
For the 3 surface layers of the Jellybean model (2 raw Toray T700 Carbon Fiber and 1 fiberglass), Do you know if the Fiberglass layer is at the bottom below the two layers of Carbon Fiber? Also, how does the Jellybean compare power wise to the Vatic Prism Flash and to regular original gen 1 raw carbon fiber paddles?
John, have you considered showing underneath your radar chart the same visualization for the paddle that is best in the respective category, which is this case would look like a semi-circle with high scores on pop, power, spin and twist weight? Just an idea to understand relative performance, and communicating what is the objectively best paddle in the category.
I literally just got the Huarache-X Control+ as a gift today, but then saw this review and am wondering if I asked for the wrong model and should have gotten the Monarch All-Court! Can I assume that aside from the obvious differences in paddle shape and what that would do to the sweet spot, these will play similarly? Seems that the construction is similar. Also, why was no review done on the Huarache line?
Hey Kew. Used your code for the Hush paddle and love it. I’m thinking about a Proton 1 series but not sure if it’s as powerful as hush. Went to your database and can’t figure it out. I’ll use all your codes for paddles for such research u put into paddles. But can u answer, is Proton or any USA paddle similar to that sword (Diadem Hush)? Thanks
Both good options. Comparing the Monarch All Court to the J3K, the All Court has more power but less pop than the J3K. The All Court also has slightly better hand speed and spin. So the All Court is slightly more control-oriented, with good power from the baseline, and the J3K is more offensive at the kitchen.
I have played both. The JB has more pop/power due to the fiberglass layer. Higher twist weight on the JB, and I find it more forgiiving. IMO, the JB is an outstanding paddle. Great control but enough pop/power to put the ball away.
Ah, the good old days, when I could fit everything in my database on one bar chart. I still use that bar chart in one of my spreadsheets, but now it takes about 10 minutes to scroll down the chart, haha
I just ordered my monarch all court. I have been playing the Selkirk vanguard control epic. The swing weight is similar but I hope to get more pop and power out of the MAC without losing to much control. This is my first thermaformed paddle. Does anyone else have experience with these two paddle comparisons
@@michaelzendejas978 I have drilled with it more than I have played with it. This is due to a hip injury the morning of the paddles evening arrival. I LOVE IT!!! The three times I’ve had the pleasure to play was great. “MAC” gave me everything I needed in that 3.5-4.25 field. Pop, power, spin, control. The swing weight (111) and the static weight (8.15) is the perfect blend of fast hands with plow. Resets and the transition zone were quick to snap in. MY SERVE IS 🔥 with this paddle. I’m pitching like Greg Maddox and I’m a Mets fan 😂. I went to the site to buy another one and they were sold out. I will buy one when it is available.
Look at John's database. You'll want to add tungsten tape to get the weight up to that level. Swing weight's generally considered a more useful metric than Static weight.
@@keithheintzleman7831 Thnx.Didnt know bout data base. I dont like to add tape around the head but add under the pivot point on the grip to make headlight. Currently my 16mm Franklin is 9.4oz with lead added near the end cap.
@@johnkewpickleball Thanks, I ended up getting the Flare and picked up a few of the Flare Prime for $70 with my service discount which is a steal. Supposedly the Prime didn’t have as much pop as they wanted but for $70 I’m sure they are amazing! Will probably give a couple as gifts
Why buy something that isnt in the top 10% of spin rate when in 3 month's it will lose 400 rpms? Seems like its better to buy the high rpm paddles instead of these "balanced" paddles which will have terrible rpm in a few months
Great review. I have said this a few times but I really appreciate a discussion on how you modify the paddle. Thanks again.

Jelly Bean all day! Thanks for the comprehensive review.
Agreed 100%. Great paddles. I've been loving my Monarch All-Court. I really like the Hurache Control+ as well.
Bought mine about a month ago also have the Apollo very good paddle too.
Thank you for your time. Just bought a Spartus Apollo and an S & S J2k. Happy with both. Paddles are only going to constantly get better.
Another great content and review John, Another great paddles from 11SIX24, can't for the release of the Neonic Flare a wide body Titanium
I have it, great paddle. Much more plush than my monarch all court but pretty good power and excellent control as well

Hi, the Proton is definitely nowhere near the power of the Hush. Not much is - the closest are the Gearbox Pro Power and delisted JOOLA Gen-3s
Saw you compared the Jelly Bean to the Edge 18K; did you ever review the Speed Pro?
Is it better than the j3 or j3k pro? Looking at buying a wide body to go along with my j2k pro.

This is my question too. I want to know if I should go with the Jelly Bean or Control from playing with the Prism Flash 16mm
I got an all court. Compared to my other paddles it is very loud. Is there something wrong with it or is that how it plays?
Are you going to be able to add the metrics for the 14mm Jellybean any time soon?
Do you have any inside info on when the 14MM will be available? On the website, it shows as a crossed-out option.
Wonder how the all court compares to the J2k.
Can you compare the volaire M2F 14mm and the monarch all court?
Better than the J2K, J7K, J3K series? 🤔
Also a contender
I miss the good old bar chary where you showed paddles that were comparable for each character like power and twist weight.
