Somehow Ryan Aery's Mom returned
What if Mortis and Peridea are actually the same place. In The Clone Wars they don’t get there by travelling to a physical planet, they fly through some giant structure which could be a World Between Worlds portal. Also when they are there Obi-Wan says he can’t pin down where they are in the galaxy or if they’re even in their own galaxy.

It is 100% Abeloth that Baylan is seeking. The theory about Shin is a good one. I doubt Abeloth would be able to possess Ahsoka. I see us getting more Anakin out of this because his help will be needed to contain her again. This may be how we see Ahsoka decide to cross over and take up the role of The Daughter with Anakin.
Hope the writing is solid bc this has a lot of potential. Anakin once again proving himself as the chosen one. Also starkiller could be the new son?
I love this theory, I would add a twist. As a counter to the mother , let’s say Anakin has actually taken the father’s place as the balance and he brought ahsoka there to stand w baylon, sabine and shin to make sure the mother can’t escape. That could be ahsoka season 2 ending w Anakin sending them back to the main galaxy to join the fight w Thrawn knowing the dark side chaos is safely locked away.
Exactly what I've been thinking! The Anakin/Ahsoka episode showed his true balance in the force. That's the father through and through. Of course, Ahsoka is the daughter because facts. Anakin's line, "There's hope for you yet" keeps bouncing around my head for some reason. Feel like there's more to that line than meets the eye. I dunno. Love the Anakin/Ahsoka moments in live action. Rosario Dawson didn't really feel like Ahsoka to me until their interactions in that episode.
I really hope y'all are right about Abeloth, I still think the mythosaur at the end of Mando s3 will have a major impact on Dave's upcoming SW movie. It was one of the last unanswered teases they gave us, and the heroes could end up seeing the mythosaur help them beat Thrawn in a similar way to Ezra and the Purgil, while continuing the theme of him being able to calculate for every foreseeable loss until it comes to the force which has been his fatal flaw.
Love y'all's theories, and obviously with so much new content in Ahsoka it is easy to forget about the lackluster season of mando, but Dave and Jon still planted some important seeds in that show that i have barely heard mentions of! If they are really planning on Ahsoka s2 before Mando s4 then maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree (s/o doug), but i really do believe there are more connections that could be key in the eventual story they are telling through all the shows/ movie.
Honestly this is exactly what im hoping for i think the pure comic force horror of abeloth will do wonder as an overarching evil.

It's my sincere hope that the world between worlds is used to push the sequel cannon into legends territory. That is my sincere hope for what is going on with Star Wars at the moment.
If Ahsoka has the 'power' of the Daughter, wouldn't she also find the statues, (maybe rebuild it with the force?) and travel to the glowing peak?
I really hope we get a second season. Honestly Ahsoka is the second best live action star wars show after Andor.
Andor was so much better than I expected. Ahsoka was really good, but it could have been great with a better ending.

Hey, Ryan. I love your channel and videos; they offer wonderful ideas. I've been watching for a long time, and this is my first comment. I think you are spot on about Abeloth, but with a twist. Instead of bringing in all backstory or "Canon"; they could have Bailin looking for the "Dark Side" font & the "Light Side" Pool of Knowledge. But, I think Shin will get to it first and be turned into the Abeloth herself and then kill Bailin. I hope you like this idea.
I think Ahoska series protrayed Jaycen as being very force sensitive and a good mamma's boy, so much so, his path resembles that of Anakin's attachments to a fault. Imagine if Hera's well-being was somehow threatened, the character arc of Jaycen would be interesting. Especially if Ezra took him under his wing as apprentice.
If it *is* Abeloth, I could see The Mother taking a similar role to Joruus C'baoth in the movie.
Some notes for Ryan and Mr.-Trapped-In-The-TV:
1. It’s Abeloth, not “the Abeloth.” Or just call her “The Beloved Queen of the Stars.”
2. Abeloth does not merely POSSESS her victims; she consumes their consciousness and takes their form. She’s a body-snatcher, not some demon that can be driven out. Not only that, but she could “trade” bodies at will: you think you’re stabbing her with a lightsaber, only to find out she’s swapped her body with one of her puppets and has gotten away (like what happened with Dyon Stadd).
Abeloth also caused those Jedi exposed to her in their youth (while in hiding on a Jedi base in the Maw during the Yuuzhan Vong war) to develop a “Force psychosis,” wherein they saw everyone around them as an imposter and felt the urge to return “home” to her.
3. The Maw was a massive, unnatural collection of black holes created by the Celestials and their Killik slaves; Abeloth’s world was in a gravity “island” between two of those black holes, which were being held in place by Sinkhole Station. After Centerpoint Station’s destruction during the Second Galactic Civil War, Sinkhole Station destabilized. Sinkhole’s eventual destruction allowed for Abeloth’s release (with the help of the Lost Tribe of the Sith and a Sith Meditation Sphere).
I could go on. And will if you want me to. Feel free to have me proofread any future video scripts involving Abeloth, or anything else from the Battle of Endor on. 🤷🏻♂️
After watching Rebels and Ashoka, I feel like Thrawn is the most crucial villain in Star Wars.
I notice that the Abeloth has tenicles in the concept art...
Is this how Thrawn will die in the future?!
During Rebels, Thrawn's mind is still puzzled by the Bendu, saying: "You cannot see, but I can. I see your defeat...like many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace."
So maybe in Filoni's new Star Wars movie, Thrawn will be the main baddie, until another main baddie will interfere with the New Republic and Thrawn's empire, and Thrawn will get eaten by the Abeloth, making it the first Star Wars horror movie.
Also, Ryan? Do you think Ezra will team up with Luke in the future?

I want to throw a theory out there of how Baylan knew about the mortis gods, because he can read memories through the force. He did so with Sabine to give him the sphere. Could have done it with obiwan when they came back

to connect ahsoka and mandalorian, get this, in rebels there is a mural that was photographed (being displayed as a hologram when hes talking to sabine on lothal) by Veris Hydan while investigating the world between worlds for palpatine, in this mural there is a "drawing" of the Son, the Father AND GROGU (its a tiny yoda species i assume grogu). they look to be doing some ritual! this MUST be connected
perhaps they free or imprison(again) abeloth, or Something by doing a ritual thing. P.S those are definitely not howlers on the portal in the wbw, clearly they are fathier type creatures, perhaps canto-bight is another important planet yet to be involved(i think this only because the fathier type creature on the portal plus that kid at the end of TLJ being very force sensitive even with presumably no training)
I always thought the portal Ezra stopped at was to Canto Bight and that the animals were fathiers. The shapes at the top of the portal are also similar to the casino architecture.
The interesting thing, is that ‘The Father’ isn’t even pointing to the light/building in the distance, because his hand is closed into a fist. So again, it may be a warning, or it simply means go no further.
Also, as a side note, I think Heavy Spoliers is incorrect, I think that that animals aren’t the wolf-like creatures on Peridea, because the image shows an animal with faces that are shorter and they seem physically taller too. I think they look more like Fathiers.
There's such a great story behind how Ahsoka got her white light sabers. I wonder if she'll just make a new one or use her newly gotten nightsister sword and use a real sword like og Jedi.
The hilt was severed but the Crystal may still be intact. Ahsoka has access to Huyang's saber smithing supplies, I'm sure she'll be able to forge another Light Saber.

i noticed in a few episodes that she has a wall in the main room with quite a few light sabers.

I love the idea of introducing Abeloth into canon. However, i can't see The Father leaving a big statue of himself pointing to her prison, not if he want3d to keep her in there.
What if it wasn't originally a prison? What if it was a temple of his that became a prison because that was the only way to contain her?

@@tooslow4065 It's not that deep, guy. Think about it. Who is going to know about this temple-turned-prison? Short answer is: not the natives. Peridia is basically Sentinal Island if Sentinal Island was a planet. There's barely any civilization there and whatever civilization is there makes the Tuskin Raiders look like a Core World society. (Don't bother bringing up other planets in that galaxy because they do not matter or factor into this at all.)
And in the event someone stumbled upon this potential temple-turned-prison, who is going to have the power to break the extremely-likely-to-exist seals on it keeping this monstrosity inside? Short answer is: not the natives. Great odds neither the raiders or the crab people have Force abilities, let alone any powerful enough to dismantle seals placed by a god. A Jedi or Sith or something on either level definitely could. The Great Mothers likely did know but guess what they did? Got the hell out of Dodge the first chance they got. They weren't about to unlease whatever horror Baylan is looking for.
As for the Daughter's statue being headless, there are countless explanations, from being tied to her lifeforce to pure natural mechanisms that wore away the rock until the head collapsed. There's no real symbolism there aside from the Daughter already dead (but so are the Father and the Son for that matter).

A lot of concepts in this show are akin to similar ones in Norse mythology, not just Skoll and Hati. The world between worlds being an allusion to the tree known as Yggdrasill which connects to different worlds and the Nightsisters being very similar to the three seeresses known as the Norns (a version of the Fates of Greek mythology).
Wow! When I stood in line to watch the original Star Wars (for the third time) I never dreamed how the simple space opera would blossom into a universe of its very own, with this level of complexity!
I don’t think that “The Abelith” has anything to do with what’s happening in Ashoka but “Abeloth” might.

Baylan knows that the father wanted Anakin to replace him but Anakin refused. Baylan wants to replace the father and show that the balanced force is the most powerful.
An underrated comment. Someone who like me, clearly has watched and read into all the shows.
I love this idea, Baylan at no point did he remind me of a sith, definitely more of a Grey Jedi. Baylans comments about it being a ‘new beginning’ lead us to it as well.

8:16 I was rewatching rebels a few weeks back and noticed this portal as well. However, I thought the creatures were Spamels from Jedi: Survivor on Jedha. Not sure about the top though except there were three force temples on jedha you had to work through in the game.
Crazy theory: what if Shin Hati somehow found her way into the world-between-worlds, and ended up in the past, fulfilling the role of the Mother. Her supposed desire for power would fit the modus operandi of the Mother. And the fact she is bonded with Baylon Skoll would give her a connection that could span the galaxies. I'm definitely not putting money on that, but the thumbnail for this video got the nerd in me thinking.
and it would fit with every darkside force user in the galaxy

A few things...
1. I really hope Abeloth is a threat for the future. Like post sequel trilogy.
2. If The Wold Between Worlds is the key to finding Abeloth that might be why the ancient Jedi called it "The Vergence Scatter", because pieces of Abeloth are scattered across the universe, or the entryways are scattered across the universe. Some bullshit like that.
3. Are other animals, like say the Mythosaur, force sensitive and able to access hyperspace?
4. While I don't think Abeloth is the "somehow" in Palpatine's return I do think the Night Sisters COULD have a connection. Isn't Palps wearing a red robe similar to theirs in TROS?
I think in season 2, we'll see that the left, broken statue on Peridea, was actually Abeloth. Something happened (eg they locked her away in Peridea somewhere), and when the Father and Son left, the Daughter was "born" sometime before leaving, and replaced The Mother, in a role-sense
You could be onto something here. The show seems very much influenced by mythology. The Daughter could be somewhat similar to the Greek god Dionysus who was born of a human mother - Persephone and the god Zeus (the father). Zeus also had another wife named Hera and Persephone later became the Queen of The Underworld and birthed a character named Jason. Rebels was a cartoon so there couldn't be any s*x scenes, but perhaps Kanan isn't Jacen's father at all and he like Anakin was created by The Mother through the force.

These theories are wild and I love them! I can definitely entertain these theories because they all seem possible now. I hope they become true and if any of it comes to fruition I'll remember where I heard it first!
It could be Abeloth calling to Baylan, or some canon equivalent thereof. But it could also be a fakeout, a tease, and it's actually something totally different. I feel like we've been faked out by Disney before... Mephisto anyone? Abeloth could be the new Mephisto.

Only seen the thumbnail so far but that could be cool. Meaningful. Good stories. Introduce a cannon Mother from the mortus group and Shin can act like a foil to Ahsoka. Samurai without a master, a ronin except Ahsoka is so much more that than Shin is shown to be right now

Great theory as alway ryan i wouldnt want abeloth to process shin at least not immediately i still think her character has alot of story left to tell ,and would be disappointed if she became nothing more than a host body for abeloth.

I don’t think that the temple on peridia is a prison, it’s probably another test temple like on zeffo or lothal that gives you a key or info that will lead to the prison to find Aebloth

I think its the Mother statue missing her head and separated from the Father statue, and not the sister. Once ahe became Abeloth they wanted no monuments to her remaining. Just my theory.

Peridia is a planet-size force cave. It creates visions, like the caves on Dagobah and Ahch-To. "Dreams and Madness": Baylan is chasing shadows and is already being corrupted. He will turn on Shin. Mtfbwy....

ScreenCrush , I am telling you this because I respect you. People are laughing every time you ponder about what Balan Skoll is pointing or looking at from the top of the Father statue arm. He is looking at Shin Hati, who is standing on top of a far away mountain pointing her lightsaber straight up, as to reveal her whereabouts. Don't feel bad because New Rockstars hasn't figured this out either. In all fairness, with all the hidden easter eggs it's easy to overthink things.

If this is right, it would mean so much for the Star Wars movies. Maybe even Ahsoka passed on the spirit of the Daughter to Rey to explain her flow with the Force, and with this theory of Abeloth being the one behind Palpatine’s return, Filoni might be able to achieve the impossible. Redeem the Sequels. (I wont watch it again, but at least most fans will acknowledge it)

Unfortunately I think everything is leading up to legitimizing Palpatine returning somehow, even if it's just introducing audiences to concepts like force sensitive clones like in The Mandalorian. Each time the shark jump return becomes less stupid and more plausible.
Aren’t those Fathier in the WbW Portal and not Howlers? Like the animals at the Canto Blight in Last Jedi?
I hope they keep building up/ teasing the Mortis stuff, but have the conclusion of the arc take place decades later during the SW timeline. Make a Star Wars Episode X: Path of the Jedi, showing why it was so important for Obi-wan, Anakin and Luke to become force ghosts; they still have one last mission to compete: stopping Abeloth. Movie would take place in world between world like place/ Mortis. Maybe even have it coincide with TROS and explain Palpatine resurrection has to do with Abeloth. They could even face a Sith spirit Palpatine In the WBW. Anakin would strike him down at the same moment that Rey deflects the lightning back at him, giving that scene in TROS a new context. Would then set up the next series of movies w Rey, WHILE also giving a satisfying conclusion to the fans of Luke/ Anakin/ Obi wan.
People keep saying Abeloth, however, I don't think it will be a 1:1 presentation of the character the same way as from legends. That's because writers of (now) legends material had a thing for one-upping each other on the most dangerous threat in the galaxy. If it is Abeloth it will be some variation of it. Similarly, even though the Mortis gods are all dead on this physical plane of existence, they more than likely continue on in the Cosmic Force. They are the ultimate Force beings after all. The Brother was the one obsessed with corporeal existence, much the same way Palpatine clings to life. There are so many possibilities, but people expecting Abeloth to come about exactly as she appeared from legends will not happen because it would break current canon. Much the same way people keep hoping for Starkiller, not understanding that character was massively OP and broke even the OG timeline of canon.
I honestly believe that the world between worlds IS hyperspace. It's just hyperspace at a very slow rate and technology can only access the ins and outs not see the actual hyperspace as it exists to the force.

In season 2, Ashoka starts using Valium and no one notices. Sabine becomes a doctor and a lawyer as well as a Jedi and Mandalorian. Hera continues to wear 1920s flying equipment and take her son on dangerous illegal missions. Ezra continues to not ask any pertinent questions despite having been in another galaxy for 10 years. Huyang continues to make wise observations and continues to be ignored by all other characters. Baylan’s hidden agenda becomes so elusive and secretive that even he forgets what it is and forces Shin to give up being a rogue Jedi and goes back to working at Hot Topic. Thrawn returns to become the most overrated military commander in two galaxies having singularly failed to execute any of his major objectives in the other galaxy other than to load some cargo.
Brilliant. Loved the show, but can’t argue with any of that!

If all these portals go to different locations or temples possibly, then where does the one that Ezra saw Kanan go to?
Ryan, have you considered they cut some of the Baylan/Shin scenes from the last couple of episodes knowing that they're going to have to go without Baylan next season? It did feel like his and Shin's stories should have been more prominent, and perhaps that was the original plan. Perhaps that's why the end of the season felt "off" to you.
Jason solo is also similar to someone else with a close name present in the series (Jacen Syndulla)
If 2nd season I think it will end with Ahsoka dying and becoming the daughter... which is why we don't see her in the saga movies but Rey does hear her when the voices of jedi past reach out to her 🤔

Prediction: season two will be six episodes leading up to what you thought was going to happen in the season 1 finale, none of it will actually get resolved until an episode of the Mandalorian that actually includes no Mandalorians.
What about the portal he tries saving kanan with. How is that one a portal to a temple?
Personally, I’ve always thought of it as the way to directly access and enter of your own will you have to enter through one of the portals on a temple, but once inside the WbW you have access to all moments in time and space regardless of that spot being a temple. So Kanan would never be able to access the WbW at the place he died as there is no temple there, but it would theoretically be possible for anyone in the WbW to find that moment in time and get Kanan out, and then Kanan could go anywhere he wished.

Imagine the lost tribe of the Sith exists in this new galaxy. I would love to see that concept translated to live action.
I think it’s more likely that Baylan gets possessed, especially with him having to be recast. Shin will join Ahsoka and Sabine against her former master.
