I just picked up the ITS. I had an FK8 CTR and I understand being a big dude in the ctr is tough. I switched out the ctr seats for LX civic seats and it made it easier. Now owning the ITS I don't have that problem. Good side by side comparison
Thank you all for watching, I know i'm huffing and puffing and moving with haste. My buddy had to go somewhere and I just wanted to through as many things as possible! ~24:00 minute video!
All in all, for $7,000 more for the Integra Type S is definitely a premium over the Civic Type R. It better... be... well better. For the majority of people it is, but for those enthusiast looking for a race car for the road get the Type R and put that 7,000 somewhere else!
I have a 2014 EVO X //MR (3k Miles) and a 2021 CVC X //TR (2k Miles) Both X Genz HEHE Love it!! Just got the ACURA INTEGRA TYPE S!!! The Type S to me looks more of a Type R design wise...having it side by side to my FK8...definitely looks like Brothers HAHA! Really hoping we can purchase the Type R seats to put in the Type S without any fitment issues...also hoping someone comes out with a more aggressive lip wing or big wing that flows like the my FK8 (not a fan of the new TRs wing, doesn't flow lol) Also should've included if you can purchase a spare tire for the new TR and TS like the FK8 which I did...hoping the new cars has a slot for it
lol all the people who think these cars are a let down clearly haven’t driven them lol. Tell me you can’t afford one without telling me you can’t afford one lol.
They also aren’t accounting for the fact that even if it is expensive for what it is… you reap the benefits if you ever decide to sell. I bought a brand new 2005 RSX type S when it came out. I paid 24k out the door for that car and I drove it for 4 years. Someone totaled my car when it was parked at work. My insurance gave me a check for $18K. So yes it might be expensive but these types of cars retain their value so well if you take care of it.
Great video! First side by side I've seen. The S makes the R look immature and that gaudy wing on the back doesn't help either. S looks better inside and out. If anyone is paying the markup on the R instead of going with an Acura is silly
I could be the one to do. My buddy doesn't really fit in his type R seats. I don't find the type R seats particular comfortable myself. The FK8 i did though! the FL5 Type R seats are sexy though. Might do it!
Just buy the black antenna from the dealer, it’s metallic black but it looks awesome and it’s inexpensive. Wrap is not effective on antenna it’s lifts.
Civic Type R for the win on looks inside and out to me. I have a FL5 CTR and paid about what the ITS costs, but I wasn’t able to get an ITS for MSRP by me either. The CTR was an easy choice for me for that alone. Dealerships and their insane markups are ruining everything!
Dude I got the fl5 two weeks ago and thought the same thing… there’s actually hella plastic from the shipping that are on there, you have to cut the zip tie and take them off 🤦🏻♂️ I just found this out today
I’d definitely take the type s over type r everything is better except for cluster, fender and the log data. I rather have the red leather seats even tho bucket seats are cool
the "way to expensive" comments are comical. Is there anything on the planet that isnt 25-30% more expensive than it was pre pandemic? Houses are up easy 50% in many areas since 2019. Every dinner with the lady is now $200 and longer $150. Weekly groceries. Even your beloved Chick filet chicken sandwich is up 21% since 2021. You get the point. So if you think 40k is the number you need to crawl out from underneath that rock. %30 more than 40k puts it square at $52k. Welcome to our new reality. Please spare me my used 2018 Mustang that can be had for $23k will smoke it..
I totally agree with you! Inflation is out of hand. On the bright side, the car market has soften a bit and both the FL5 and DE5 were picked up for MSRP.
yes Im seeing that AS well Sorry to hijack the post but every youtube post about the ITS gets a bunch of "its to expensive" comments and I just would love to have a real open discussion about real value in todays environment. Cross shoppping this with Audi RS3, Alpha Romeo Giulia QV and the CT4V BW.. all great cars . hmmm
I picked up my ITS in February 24. I sucked it up and paid sticker. The reason I say sucked it up cause prior to 2020, I never paid full price car. Like you said times are different. The day I picked up my car I paid $15 for a regular Big Mac meal. Everything is expensive. Used cars are even crazier than new cars. In 2017 I coulda picked up a 97 NA2 in manual with 74K miles for the same price I paid for my ITS. Now that car is well over a $100K. Keep in mind, in the north east, it’s not in the best interest of that car to daily it. Since I’ve gotten my ITS, I’ve put almost 8k miles on her. I love my ITS and to me it’s worth every penny.
This video could had been soo much better if the screen would be split in 2 with voiceover. I feel like a lot of time is wasted on walking between the 2
@@guitarrise4523 Exactly. Every time I drive my Type S I know what I paid for. And when I decide to sell it, I will get back a big chunk of that money. Manual 6 speed gaz engine will be sought after soon. Great sport car and so much fun to drive.
Got my NSX to flex. These cars are more for the everyday enthusiast. I recently just had my first child so the NSX (2 seater) isn't getting as much love.
@@mikeeymouse I feel like the Type S will not depreciate much over the years. The type r will always have the bigger name that’s normal but the Type S will be right behind it. I think over the years they will be priced similarly.
@ highly doubt it look how many type s there is.there are less fl5 than type s brand new for sale. Unless half the type s gets totaled. Also the depreciation already hitting hard on the type s. We will see overtime
Type S with the Type R bucket seats would be 20/10. Type S is definitely a better buy. The premium in price justified with the added features.

My favorite comparison video between the two. Nice job gentlemen!
lol all the people who think these cars are a let down clearly haven’t driven them lol. Tell me you can’t afford one without telling me you can’t afford one lol.
Agreed, I had my fair share of cars and I feel these two will hold my attention for a long time.

For a single car, multi-purpose vehicle I'd say the ITS. Having multiple cars I picked up the CTR.

Personally I didn’t like pops. But I agree that the sound of the ITS without the extra resonator is much more better.
Gotta have a good Sound System for sure! Imma HipHop Head! 😂
Once you make a video on whether the typeR seats is a direct Swap to the type S 🫶🏿🙌🏿🫶🏿 I’ll be sure to be getting the type S for sure 👍🏿 😊
Do you like the Type R seats? Everyone raved about them, but as someone with kyphosis, I find them unremarkable.
Same here...can't wait for someone to try putting the Type R seats in the Type S!!!
I could be the one to do. My buddy doesn't really fit in his type R seats. I don't find the type R seats particular comfortable myself. The FK8 i did though!
the FL5 Type R seats are sexy though. Might do it!
_Dose tha park bench on the rear of the type R hold two full grown adults?_
the rear seats fit me and i'm 6 ft tall, and 175 pounds

type R has the more special feeling interior with just those seats alone!
Good choice!
The ctr looks like they didn’t remove the transport blocks. Front end sits kind of high
Yeah the finger gap is a bit much

TYPE S GANG! 💪

360p squad!
the horn sound is different too. the civic’s horn is comical
Dang i didn't test that out. I will point that out in my next comparison
Swap CTR passenger seat to ITS Driver seat.

thanks for the advice,
sorry bro, can't watch any longer.....camera is too shaky. Would watch it if it has some stability. thanks.
Sorry about that
One is a civic made in ohio. The other a civic they ship the parts from ohio to japan.
Dang nucca you got both 😂. Wut u do my boy. Need a career change
haha, i don't know if you see that new NSX too. :)
14:02 🤫
ouch lol!
Damn both cars are a let down for the price.
I wouldn't say let down but they are both very expensive.
Have you driven them. I have sat behind the wheel of both I actually own the type S and i can tell you price is not bad.
