@@QueTheChaotic Good luck man. Unfortunately I was seriously not impressed with the service at the Acura dealers near me. Sad thing is that now with a CTR, I’m finding Honda dealerships don’t seem to be much better. Sucks. They might be nice cars, but if you can’t trust the competence of the people that are servicing it, it can make owning it a lot less fun.
You had me LMAO when you talked about California not being happy about tuning the Integra up. I initially wanted the Honda Civic Type R but all the dealerships wanted $15,000 over MSRP so $45k became $60k so I started looking at the Acura Integra Type S and immediately gravitated towards it. I found a couple of dealerships that were willing to sell it at MSRP so it's cheaper then the Civic Type R. Integra is a more attractive shapely car and a better sound system and way more luxury and is way more comfortable to drive. It's the more mature car and since I turned 50 I figured it was for me. Great video again Q keep up the good work
Yup dealer mark up are crazy 😂 for 15k up to 20k you can build a 97 hatch with a k20 motor 😂 good old classic car that will hang with newer cars 😂 plus easy to fix don't have to deal with all the tech stuff on it 😂 as much as love tech, I love it simple and glad they still making manual cars.. all I need is a audio system that I can Bluetooth my phone for music and navigation. I do have a brz ts 2020 and had a frs 2013.. have a 2019 sti.. I think I'm kinda over buying new cars due to this pesky dealer mark ups 😂 and yes I paid 37+k out the door for my brz ts😂 wanted and only 300 made and didn't like the newer ones

Only thing I can add to this (wish I was an FL5 owner) driving a base hatchback, the wiper is pretty nice. I agree it doesn’t clear off a massive portion but when you’re in the drivers seat the FOV it does clear is really nice. I do miss it when I drive normal sedans just so I can watch my rear end for any fast approaching drivers in the morning or in heavy rain.
I agree! my gti has a rear wiper that I could not live without. It doesnt clear a huge portion of the window, but it is seriouly clutch to be able to see.
Having owned both cars, I believe the optional metal shift knob for the ITS is pretty similar in size compared to the one in the Type R, it’s just shaped a little different and slightly darker in color. You don’t need to take apart the console at all to get the shift knob off. If it’s on really tight, use a pair of work gloves with grippy palms to grab it and it should twist off. Alternatively you can use a metal trim tool with a “U” shaped tip and get it under the base of the shift knob, pry a little, and the shift boot will pop down away from the knob. That will expose a nut that you can loosen with a 14mm wrench, and then the knob will come off a little easier. There are a few decent vids out there on removing the knob. The alcantara wheel is a dealer installed option on the ITS, and you can get the exact same wheel as a dealer installed option for the Type R. I actually my ITS alcantara wheel in my CTR, and also removed the CTR’s fake leather shift boot and replaced it with an alcantara boot from Overland Designs. Also, the ITS has TPMS sensors, the CTR doesn’t. CTR uses trick math with the wheel rotation speed to try and calculate tire pressure instead of using TPMS sensors. I think they did it to make swapping aftermarket wheels easier.
Crazy how the Civic really stands out more than the Type S esthetically! Solod video! I also miss the individual tire pressure sensors! My Dart had that and in 2024, how is this not standard? 😂
If I can get the Integra Widebody Look on the Civic Type R I would be SOLD! That would be a game changer for me. Also I think the Integra taillights would look good on the Type R as well.
Que, The center gloss black section pops out in seconds with ease, I was able to swap mine out for an Overland designs one and take the shifter off and put it back on all in about 5 minutes and I have never done it before, it was super quick and easy. Just start at the drivers side towards the cup holder, the "arm" of the middle piece, just pry it up a bit until you hear it click, then mover forward an inch at a time, it will pop right off, just make sure to unplug the cable under it before you remove it.
The 7k price difference can get you so many engine goodies to be ahead of the type s. But obviously if you want a comfortable luxury car that’s just as reliable the type s is the one for you
@@steve8803depending where you live, you can find one for msrp. Here in Jersey there are so many for msrp it’s nuts. I know that other states are still struggling to find even one for msrp.
Hey, so the reason the Civic doesn't show you the TPMS but the Integra does is because the Integra has the traditional pressure sensor system, where there's a sensor in each tire measuring the exact PSI. The Civic lineup, from the LX to the Si to the Type R, uses wheel speed sensors to detect if the pressure is low. When one wheel is low, the speed sensor will not match the other wheel. The car has no way to know for certain which wheel is low, and it can't actually see the exact pressure in each wheel. Hopefully this explains it. Also, I'm loving your videos, binged a few and subscribed, you've basically convinced me to buy a Civic Type R this summer, which I'm going to do. I hope your situation with Troy Acura works out.
Great review. There are some things I like about both, but you know Ima TYPE R GUY. We need to do this meetup so we can get some runs in. BACK OUTSIDE BOYS. I Have a feeling a new whip is on the way !
Such a difficult choice between the two. Love the extra features of the Integra, but i prefer the interior of the civic. its just so much cleaner looking, and has the better seats. It's a crime the civic doesnt have heated seats at this price, but i guess they wanted to save weight as much as possible. I can do without the better sound system because if you never had it, you won't miss it. I prefer the sytling of the civic but that huge rear wing should be an option maybe. LOVE exhaust of the Type S....I wonder if a quick tune can fix that for the civic. I think a rear wiper is a MUST for a hatchback. Seems like it would be easier to fix the things on the civic that you want from the integra than vice versa. I can't add a wiper in back, or add more headroom. I CAN make the civic sound better, and make it ride better wth integra Module. I also think Acura is more likely to comletely reinvent its styling vs classic honda. The civic will age much better. I also like the brake cooling ducts(cannot add those easily)....and the fender flares of the type S look somewhat aftermarket. A strange choice for the more luxury/low key of the two. Love both! I go civic though....if I can get on at MSRP.
In your other video, you mentioned the CTR revs more happily to redline and more fun to rev out than the ITS since the ITS has more mid range torque and dies more at the top of the rpm band. This is interesting. Can you share your thoughts on this some more?
The ITS still pulls at the top end. It’s more exciting in the CTR how it gradually pulls the higher in the revs you go. The Integra effortlessly pulls up to the top with the torquier power band
They both share the same engine and trans so it’s more down to features and convenience. Can you hear any vtec crossover on these cars? On my STI I use a weighted shift knob and it feels much better on the shifts than the stock lightweight knob. It’s the small little upgrades that make big differences.
@@QueTheChaotic they are fun and the vtec is so loud it makes it fun to drive. I had to sell it though because I was in the Military and I couldnt tow it so it was either my STI or the Rsx but my STi is my baby so I got rid of the Rsx.

Everyone keeps saying the ITS is the luxury CTR. But the ITS isn't a luxury car at all. Nicer interior is debatable and the only thing you get is a HUD, sound system and heated seats that aren't very comfy. Basically get the one you think looks better. The ITS is not worth its MSRP, yet I'm still trading my EN for one because I just love how it looks and willing to overpay for what I get.
You’re right on all accounts. It’s a horrible value but I love it. The CTR fits me more because of the wing but the ITS suites me more for the extra 2 features
