  • This 1970 LS swapped C10 is one of the favorite builds that we've done here at Fat Fender, both because of how stock it looks and also how beautiful it is. This thing also knows how to get down with the LS engine under the hood. Watch Jason take us through this build, take us on a cruise, and then point out some cool details after. Follow our social media on Instagram and Facebook to get a taste of what we're up to here at the shop on a daily basis. (@FatFenderGarage)
Visit fatfendergarage.com/ to order parts for your trucks, and feel free to email Jason anytime if you have questions! //info@fatfendergarage.com

Little known fact Normy.....true mechanics are a dying breed. Todays technicians are just parts changers and programmers....Love what you're doing Jason. Keep up the good work!!.. From an old mechanic.

Just look at all the visibility in that truck. Absolutely hate driving newer vehicles with blind spots all over. God, wish I could go back in time.

That's a good looking '70. I like how it had turned out. This is what my plans are for my '68. The rear bed panels look clean. I love the Dakota Digitals dash, that's the way that I'd like to go. The truck sounds much like my 2010 GMC Sierra 1500.
I have a '68 C10 2wd long bed with the factory 327, TH400, and GM 12 bolt with rear HD leaf springs. Yes, this is a factory truck. This truck had outlasted two marriages, so it isn't going anywhere.
I have a running drivable 2001 Suburban that I had purchased for a grand to use as my donor vehicle. My plans are to shorten the '68 wheelbase, swap in the Suburban LM7 5.3 with 4L60E, converting the 4wd trans to a 2wd. I have on the stand a LQ4 6.0 that I'd like to drop in instead, but it needs a rebuild. I'm also going to upgrade the brakes to all wheel disc, and add power steering and A/C. I may also do a 4-6 drop, but I haven't decided yet.
Some say to not chop up the long wheelbase, but to each their own. I love all 67-72, but my favorite is the 67-68 because of the V grill and sloped hood.
    Thanks for a great video!

Hell yeah. I have a 70 cst with leaf springs, and factory 402/th400. It has the 12 bolt with 4:11 gears. You don’t see many c10 with leaf springs out back.
Mine was built for towing. It’s quick stoplight to stoplight, but sucks on the freeway.
I’m thinking of ls swapping it and putting overdrive. It’s a shorted, but stepside. I want to SWB it.
You know LMC has a kit to convert later years to 67-68 sloped hood.

Did you cut the frame to do the conversion? Is their a kit for this? Do you have to find a Short bed or use the panel kit? Did you use a 6L80e transmission?
    Thanks, for your time
