Great video and advice but your asking a shop owner and of course he is gonna reccommend every high dollar option……if youve got $15k to blow go ahead and get new EVERYTHING!!!!……ive used factory tanks and wiring with stand alone ecu’s harness on many swaps with zero issues……..this guy reccommends breaking out the checkbook cause thats how he feeds his family……..research reasearch and more research and do it yourself…..its not hard guys
I just got done with a LsSwap 6.0 /80e and you pay for what you want if not do it your self to cutt cost I spent 7k and it's looks awesome and runs good ..!!
Exactly of course his gonna try to brain wash your head about going with a brand new parts for your vehicle not only for the owner shop to make the most bucks but it's the easy way for the owner to save time and headaches right. So this is for the person like me that likes to saves money plus I like to do this type of hobby well DO IT YOUR SELF AND THEN SAVE SOME REAL MONEY by staying AWAY from shops like this ones
He probably doesn't make much difference with new or used in profit. His experience with various cars going ls that the way he does it gets less customer complaints.
Like it or not the LS swap is the new small block Chevy swap that saves a lot of junk cars. I love old school motors because of budget but the LS engines IMHO is the best Chevy motors ever built. Stupid power and good mileage even with 4.8 but they are definitely not cheap.
No replacement for displacement Also don't matter what engine if you're heavy on the gas pedal fuel economy disappears if that's what you want get a 4 cylinder
I wanna thank you for this video. Just browsing some videos working on my swap and this guys shop is 5 minutes from me. Gonna be reaching out to him now
I'm finding a lot of things in this video suspect. The rarity of a LS1 or LS2 makes them expensive! Then buying a brand new Dart block? This is not LS swapping on cheap at all.
I do g20 G30 swaps. I use stock manifolds right side needs to clear the frame my exhaust guy cuts the flange and rewelds it to make it clear. Stock manifolds like most GM parts will run 1000hp flow is actually better than headers too.
See all of that stuff sounds good. But they forget in the aspect of the money part . Now, I know somebody gonna try to come behind me and say something negative. But all these parts he’s talking about or a couple thousand dollars a piece. This stuff is a cheap, I went to try to take my gbody to a shop like that after I put a brand new motor in fresh out the box from Summit. And they tried to hit me with a whole new ignition system and fuel system that was going to cost the same price if not more than the actual motor is self . At the end of the day with shops like that, if you don’t have a extra 20 to 30 grand, to put into your old school you just wasting your time having a conversation with them folks..
H look w can you compare a price from a good decent engine from a junk yard for 1200 bucks complete to a Dart BLOCK ONLY FOR 4K thats disgusting and thats what you call BUDGET wow that's some good opinion FOR YOU SHOP OWNER'S right
@charlieb308 if you are getting 5mpg you're either not mechanically inclined or they are just stupid and probably shouldn't be messing with cars in general
If you don’t know what a dart block is you should be making car videos.. when you said I don’t know what a dart block is you lost all of your credibility with that man
seems like 1. honest talk. 2. professional experience. 3. this video is SO valuable.
Thanks Man! 🙏

Getting ready to do an Ls swap. Thanks for the great video Parker!
I need help I want to find what I can go with in my 1988 Caprice
I have a 1980 Camaro and would love to get an LS1 installed.
If your classic doesn't have it's original motor/drive train do what makes you happy!
Another great video keep em coming
An LS2 out of a GTO isnt a "budget" swap lol
Funny seeing you here. Hahaha

Parker looked like deer in the headlights listening to this guy
Going to ls swap my E92 328i. I like the n52 but I want more powaa and putting a n54 in is more expensive
Love this channel
Great video!

Hey joe can i send my 96 impala to you lol need you to put a ls4 in it for me! Lol
Carbureted LS is the easiest and cheapest way to get a dependable LS in your swap period…..
I have a question i have a 1982 delta 88 ls swap im having a problem with headers 5.3
I do g20 G30 swaps. I use stock manifolds right side needs to clear the frame my exhaust guy cuts the flange and rewelds it to make it clear. Stock manifolds like most GM parts will run 1000hp flow is actually better than headers too.
Hope Parker does a camaro ls swap on budget.
We are going to keep the cost down!
All this ls swap videos but all they do talk about it but. On do a step by step videos lol
Yeah they run there mouths instead of step by step
informative video ...thanks
“Budget” is such a loose term it’s becoming annoying hearing it.
You can have a 5k budget or you can 20k budget. Budget doesn’t mean CHEAP.

Best I could say is find a crashed trailblazer ss

Not going to ruin a muscle car with a engine that uses a computer
H look w can you compare a price from a good decent engine from a junk yard for 1200 bucks complete to a Dart BLOCK ONLY FOR 4K thats disgusting and thats what you call BUDGET wow that's some good opinion FOR YOU SHOP OWNER'S right
Nothing electric. All mechanical. Keep the carburator alive.
I guess I'm a purist! I believe these guys are ruining all these vintage cars.
The muscle car angle is probably the biggest driver of this market and saving these classic cars.
@@svtinker I disagree!
@@svtinkerI'm doing a 383 in my 65 chevelle Malibu it's already a light car I'm not adding excessive weight of extra wiring and computers ect
They are actually making these cars dirt cheap they've came down in price alot lately 😂 thank you idiot ls swap guys
