I was given a 2003 gmc 1500HD with a 6.0L lq4 and 4l80e 2wd, that im going to put in it. Going with the terminator x setup and i think ill go with those gauges too. Will cam it, heads and injectors, tune it and call it good. Ive ran many turbo cars in my day and have a twin turbo infiniti for that kind of fun. It will be nice to cruise the backroads as you say but still have some get up and go.

@@Joeyrayofficial Ah word. Well if you ever get around to it and you still remember this comment a list of parts or hell just the procharger you used I'd be grateful!
I think that he is talking about is CK1500. Which is from 1988 to 1998 for fuel injection ready tank Still probably the best bet is 1987 C10 (square body). Which also came TBI from factory. Then all is needed is a pump capable for the pressure needed
Also if you buy an R10 fuel tank, they come baffled. The factory carb trucks don’t come with baffled tanks. So you may experience some starvation when the tank is low and you’re pulling G’s.
The C stands for 2wd & K is 4wd. So a K3500 is a 1 ton 4wd pickup. The exception was the older square bodies C30 crewcabs. The 2wd & 4wd were called C30 3+3 aka 6 passengers. What brand crossover & turbo exhaust manifold did you use, injectors ect? I'm building an 85, K5 Blazer, lift ect. Thanks
I was wondering that too, I hate bright LED lights, I have a dekota digital dash in mine and it is not dimmable, it blinds me, I'm going to put some window tint on it
I sold it for 15k with bad paint and body work. It's now selling for 20k with new body panels and paint. You couldn't build the truck for 15k post inflation
I had it listed for 17k for over a month with 0 interest. It has been for sale 5 times since I sold it 6 months ago, recently sold for 18k with a new paint job. Current owner looks like he will keep it a long time though
wow i just seen this truck for sale today here in arkansas, it is literally the same truck.. huh small world sometimes! it is now sporting a 6.0 engine
I have a 6.2 in wanting to put into my 86 c10. I don't want to use the 6l80e that is married to the motor right now but instead a 4l80e. Is there a certain wiring harness or adapter that is needed?
Definitely an adapter is needed. Probably yes to both questions. Good luck with the build, if you're scrapping the 6L80 for a 4L80 you're going for big power!
My project is a 75' GMC 1 ton dually with 70,010 miles I bought it from the original owners granddaughter, I wanted an LS but the block cleaned up and I found a buddy with 69' 302 heads and had them modernized and tuned up, I need to finish it up but life has taken off but I do feel emotionally connected so I'll probably finish it. Curious how much you sold the truck for or are asking for it..
Im leaning towards the holley terminator and harness route on my current build, just seems so much simpler. Separate harness, having to get the original ecu flashed, etc just sounds like a pain...
Thanks for the tip .As I write this it looks like my neighbor is amassing a large swarm of bees just north of my dogs kennels. An attack is imminent. How did you know?
It looks like you're truck is lowered. Did you use the original truck oil pan or aftermarket. If original, does it stick past below your cross frame mount?
stock 5.3 oil pan. It was barely in line with the subframe of the truck, so if i scraped it would have hit the cross frame not the pan. Hope this helps!
Question. Does it have AC? If so how did you do it. I'm LS swapping an 87 K5. It has AC now but it's not very cold. I want to upgrade to a newer system but I don't want to have to buy a whole new AC system. Any tips?
I have a 75 nova which has a th350 transmission and I’m thinking of putting the 5.3 from my 2001 Chevy in it, Do you believe that motor would bolt to that tranny?
Hey yes I did! Used a ground trigger that went into the msd solid state relay which gave power to the 2 fans. I only used 1 trigger from the termx then jumped that trigger on the msd solid state to power the 2 power outputs on the solid state. Hope this helps!
I believe there were dirty dingo as low as they would go. I ever so slightly had to grind my engine mount bracket on the frame on that passenger side to make it all fit
Not true, it fits. You have to get a new driveshaft, but I count "fitting" meaning you do not have to cut the truck cab which you definitely do not have to dom
