- This one might freak out the purists but I don't care. I love creative builds and this is certainly a creative one. Jody wanted a C10 as it was his first truck and he's a Mopar guy so he wanted a Hemi and he built one helluva truck!

These builds are my favorite! There is nothing better than a guy dreaming up and putting together the exact vehicle he saw in his mind. Creativity and outside the box thinking keep these classics updated, modern, and relevant.
Did one hell of a job on the C10!! Just look at how wide of a burnout from the tires on the pavement insanely cool! And a manual! This is my kind of 2 door sports car love it👍🏼👍🏼

This probably puts the power down better than the hellcat itself from the way the trucks balanced and it's tires. Good for this guy man- gnarly setup!!

I love that truck. I have a 71 Roadrunner and I want to put a hellcat engine in it. I am a big fan of the C10’s as well and this one has a perfect stance. Nicely done

I have a 1984 s10 blazer 2wd, Engine built by "Redline performance" in maine, 408ci stroker sbc, 2.02 cast iron heads, Holley 650cfm 4 barrel carburetor, headers, dual stainless steel exhaust, Monster 200r4 transmission, B&M Mega shifter, 60's in the back, skinnies in the front on C3 corvette rims. Traction bars, Tachometer on floor, Digital dash, I call it..."Naughty kitty."

As a certified Mopar guy growing up in a Dodge/Chrysler family and having worked as a marketing representative for Chevrolet Performance for 5 years touring all over the country driving a semi decked out with performance parts/engines/cars....this truck really speaks to me. Love the story and I can totally relate, well done!

That is a sinister looking truck, I don’t care what’s under the hood. I say good for him for using a mopar power plant.
I know this is only one man's opinion, but I really don't mind a truck being taken to the limits of the owner's imagination. The question that comes to my mine, after mucho years of trucks of which most were just a bit more sedate, what is the weight distribution? I know it's fast as hell on the boulevard but how is it balanced? Hot pickups from my high school years (mid-1960's) could go like hell until that fool up front tried to either stop or turn and then it all turned brown and sticky!!!!! Nowadays an aware builder can push the power plant back into the firewall and move as much weight toward the rear as possible but a C10 isn't very long so your options are limited.

@@AutotopiaLA Thanks Shawn. Curiosity is always hanging around ya know! Mine is a 2000 7.3 F250 Power Stroke so the engine isn't ever going to be changed but there are a whole list of "little things" you can do that add up to a pretty nice truck. Money's limited but the imagination just keeps on tickin'!!

I grew up in Northridge. I had a friend in high school named Mike Wood. A few times a week he drove from our high school in Encino to Camarillo to work at his older brother's company. His brother is William Wood, who founded Wilwood Brakes.

😅 Mopar is basically Chevy although their fanboys would shoot themselves before the admit it, chevy stole all their designs. The BBC is based off the Hemi and the LS a Ford Cleveland crossed with a Hemi. 🤷🤷
That is the most ignorant comment I've seen all day. A $300 dollar LS with a cam and springs along with a pair of ebay turbos would have made more power on a tenth of the budget. This is a cool truck , and cool that's it's not another LS swap, but your comment is beyond stupid.

I'm a Mopar guy and those 1967-1972 C-10s are my favorite truck. I always thought about dropping a 440 in one, but I think this is much better.
Someone in my area did that back in 80s or 90s. He did it cause he hated the chevy engine but loved the c10 so he dropped his old race engine that was in roadrunner in the truck

I am a purist, and I had a 1970 C 10 nothing special, 350 bored out 30 over except I had a Moser rear end. Everyday driver about 425 HP and 389 to the rear end. But that is a bad fucking truck, very nice

I've done it numerous times with rides I love. Sometimes it's time for somebody else to enjoy it and you have a whole new adventure in front of you. The rush of something new is just as good as the build
