Thank you so very much for introducing me to NMN . I have had CFS and Fibromyalgia since 1977 after being infected with Hep C withe a blood transfusion. I have always eaten well drink very little and keep myself as active as possible wit my CFS. Over the years I've tried anything that I thought would help but since starting to take NMN two months ago I have seen a bigger change in my sleep , energy, and brain fog than I have ever seen before. I was so expressed with the result that I decided to start giving it to my 16 year old dog. She had been very stiff and lacking in energy for a few months and showed no interest in going for walks. Within days if taking the NMN she completely changed. She is now enjoying life with walking and playing more than she had for months before.
I know that it's easy for someone with my longtime illness to imagine a improvement but this couldn't have been the case of the change in my dog.
I thank you for giving me and my little Dog a introduction to something that really has changed our life.❤️

Hi Susan, I so enjoyed reading your comment, it warmed my heart. It makes me really happy to hear that you have seen such great results from taking NMN., And that even your little dog is feeling better. I agree with you, it could be easy for us humans to just feel a placebo effect, but I also started giving it to my dog about a year ago, and like you, I could see changes in her within days. Again, I’m so happy to hear that this is helping you both so much. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Sending a very big hug to you and your fur baby

Reading some of the comments below and like Claudia suffering from health issues for a long time I have been on a 25 year journey to get healthier. Some great doctors online with Dr. Gundry and Sinclair being 2 of my favorites, but discover new doctors all the time. Supplements work great when you use high quality and target what you need and take them daily. My supplement stack is constantly being updated. Last week I had shoulder replacement surgery and double my daily NMN dosage to 2 grams a day to aid in healing. I also use many of Do Not Age supplements simply because they work and the quality guarantee. My last blood work up was so good my doctor called me to discuss the improvement over the last 3 years. Have your blood tested and have a physical to find out what needs to be fixed and most important find a excellent doctor to work with. Most doctors when you mentioned supplements just roll their eyes and change the subject. Eat a whole food diet and exercise I walk 5 miles a day and use targeted supplements daily for best results.

This was one of the best YT I’ve seen on longevity (presentation and content) and I rarely / never have posted a comment like this. At 65 my nad+ is at 26.3. I will say that I run 6mi/day, feel great, eat only plants .. but have decided to boost my nad+. your YT is extremely informative .. great job … I ordered the nmn from your link so I hope you get a few $$’s … I normally make a point of NOT ordering from promoted links but their nmn is cheap compared to others and I believe your test results speak for themselves. I’m going to watch more of your contact. I’ll retest in 1mo .. I’m expecting levels to be around 45 which I’ll probably be happy with. As mentioned earlier .. excellent presentation .

It is great to hear how well you are taking care of yourself and hopefully NMN will give you a bit of an extra boost. Please keep us posted on how you are feeling with it. I did not talk about it in length in this video, since I had covered it in others, but since forms of Vitamin B3 are speculated to deplete methyl donors, it is a good idea to take a methyl donor such as TMG, methylcobalamin, methylfolate.. or a different methyl donor with it.

I find the apigenin approach more elegant, and rather reduce NMN supplementation. Balance is extremely important in the metabolic network. Pumping some compounds in can help to erase old set points, but it bears its own risk to to it chronically.
Since you have more energy, and possibly your metabolism is more like that of a younger person, your body is probably able to use the salvage pathway for NAD+ on its own. So I would test to decrease the intake until you are between 80 and 90.

    • @claudiaglows

I’ve been getting off meds and even felt tired just walking. It’s been HELL. I just started taking NMN+ and I actually had energy to walk my dogs today and feel like I can run a mile! I’m not sure how long this will last but I’m taking advantage of it. I got a months worth and will keep taking it. Even if it only works today just having the energy is a godsend. And want to be clear it’s not a jittery kinda energy like coffee or any drug. It’s a very calm energy where I can sleep if I really wanted to or go out and not be dragging. It’s very nice to feel energetic again.

Dear Claudia, thank you from the heart for sharing your personal experience with NMN (and TMG). It is incredible how mold can alter our quality of life…and we almost never suspect this to be the culprit. I‘m happy you found the right solutions for you and your little dog😊I am taking Donotage NMN and TMG since two months now, 1-1,5 g of each, depending on the day and how l feel. I have Long Covid symptoms together with a very low energy, but it was much more than this, l‘ve been to hell and back several times since December last year. That is how l discovered David Sinclair and NMN and your channel. My progress is slow, but steady. I am gaining back energy little by little, but have to be patient as my energy levels were already quite low before getting Covid. Two weeks ago l made the NAD test, the result is still out. Can‘t wait to see it! All the best to you, have fun and stay safe and happy❤️

This will let you know if you need to maybe increase your dose even further for a little while. if you search online, there are whole protocols now for the treatment of long Covid. They include supplements, like spermidine and Methylin blue. Of course, talk to your doctor if you had anything new, but it might be worth while looking at some of these protocols. I followed it for a while as well, since I had a Covid vaccine injury.. I am wishing you the very best of luck with your health journey. his science is sound. the hype, less so. his monetizing actions are questionable, but it is his choice. as a scientist, and with an interest in taking NMN myself, i am mostly concerned if the other scientists respect the research and if it is replicated. so far it is in a positive direction, but the human trials have used low doses, and are not necessarily with older test subjects and too short of time periods. most of us are excited by all the anecdotal evidence. it is safe to take, low risk. money is a factor. other scientists that i respect are taking NMN themselves. my only true negative w/ Sinclair is his company's application for use of NMN would take it off the market as an OTC supplement, the way the law is written. it is stalled out for now & still for sale. but the FDA needs to resolve this

I started with 1 g of NMN exactly one month ago (and 500 mg of TMG). But so far I haven't felt any difference.
At age 75, my NAD levels likely wouldn't be high, so NMN should have done something, I think.

I noticed a slight increase in my energy on day 10 and these last three days it has been consistent. I'm very thankful as I had been suffering from low energy for quite some time, so I attribute the increase mostly to NMN but also to the sun (vit.D). We had not been having much sun here in the Netherlands but these last few days we have, and I've managed to soak up some of it. That has also helped (I suspect) with my rise in energy. I am also noticing better sleep. I am sleeping deeper and longer (but I also instruct my body every night that I am going to sleep a deep and restful sleep).

I have started taking DoNotAge since I started watching your videos - with my 78 year old mother, we've started taking NMN, TMG and Resevertrol for about 2-3 weeks now. Prior to this, we had taken NMN from a different brand for 2 months. My mother's NAD level before we started DoNotAge was already high at 114μM suggesting its "too high" according to the test. Is too high NAD a concern in the long run in your opinion? We're taking 1g of all three supplements daily now. Just wondering if we need to cut back on the dosage to keep it under 100 or not. I couldn't find any insights from the test lab about NAD values over 100μM other than a note that states "may not have additional benefits and can potentially be harmful." Any thoughts? Your insights are greatly appreciated!🙂

Hi, thank you for being here. Wow, it is quite impressive that your moms NAD levels were that high. I would say if you are already in such a good range, maybe skip a day a week, or reduce supplementation. I like the idea of skipping one or two days a week better, but what ever works best for you. I don't think it is dangerous to have a too much NAD, esp. not if it is just a little hight (but that is my personal opinion and I do not have any studies to back this up), but if you are that high, it would be nice to save a bit of money and take less NMN. I hope this makes sense.

I wonder what your levels would be if you took just the Apigenin without the NMN. Inhibiting CD38 alone is supposed have a bigger increase to NAD levels than NMN. Also you might want to address the rate limiting factor of NAMPT. You don't want Nicotinamide building up in the cell. NMN should be put into the salvage pathway and recycled. Quercetin and ALA helps put that NMN into the salvage pathway.

Recovering from a recent heart event and received cardiac implant together with new diagnosis of sarcoidosis with heart and lung involvement; basically very little energy, depression, some frailty, unable to walk to 50-100m without having to sit down to recover for several minutes! Used to be like a spinning top prior, could not stop me ! NMN is a game changer, came off the pain meds, mobility improved. How can this be available to more people, as it is still relatively expensive for many? However I don't drink alcohol, if very rarely and don't smoke, so say I can afford it as I have no other vices lol ! I did however hear a talk by a medical doctor saying to take a Vit B Complex together with Vit D3 and E for the optimum levels upkeep of NAD+ in the body, since after a few months you may notice not much at all and want to up the dose of NMN, which may be unnecessary if you take the supportive vitamins mentioned above for the continued 'buzz' or effects as it were without having to increase your intake of NMN. Just my two cents, please research yourself. Have an awesome day good people.

    • @sharonmaria7980

A quick footnote about the Vit B Complex word was that NAD+ utilises the vits in order to do its thing, so depleting them quickly in the body. That made sense then, it working synagistically, hence the continued effects. I hope this is making sense. X

As you mentioned, you can't buy nmn the United States as a supplement, just NR. I'm currently taking Thorne brand NR which includes a small amount of resveratrol and TMG. I also supplement with extra TMG. Given that nmnis more bio-available, where would I get nmn? btw, there are clinics in New York City where you can get nmn intravenously, but I want the oral version.

Hi, you can actually still buy NMN in the US. Amazon took it off, but there are still companies selling it
I use DiNotAge and they ship to the US
I linked the company below this video if you want to take a look

I had huge fatigue and joint and muscle pain from covid for 2 years. I called it bone tired. 3 days into taking tru niagin, CA akg, and apinengin...I'm 90% better. I still have body aches of a 90 year old. I'm looking into what I can take for that. But I'm so relieved not to feel I'm in a death march from morning till night.

That is so incredible to hear and I am so happy for you!
But I am sorry to hear that you are still having body aches and hope you can figure out what is causing it. I know that covid can cause a ton of inflammation, which can be challenging to dampen. Curcurma is something that has helped me to reduce inflammation from mold and maybe it would be helpful for you as well
Wishing you the very best of luck. Please continue to keep us posted

Bone loss - this is the real cause of facial aging. What can we do about it? It's not just about diet and supplements. Are there any methods to stimulate the bones? Tapping, or some kind of physical manipulation?

    • @claudiaglows

Hi Natalia, you are right, but those is definitely a big part of the aging process. I think that microcurrent could actually help, since it does stimulate osteoclasts.
And of course resistance training for the body

Hi Claudia, I started taking NMN and TMG 8 days ago. I really don't feel much different. Im still very tired, so I up the dosage to 1000 mg yesterday. Would you recommend I add Apigenin to help with my tiredness? Thanks

Apigenin has actually been shown in some studies to boost NAD levels about 5 times more than NMN. I saw major improvement shortly after I started taking Apigenin with my NMN. Apigenin inhibits CD38, which is a protein that consumes the NAD, leaving our cells with less NAD to consume.
Apigenin tackles a huge reason for why we have lower NAD levels in the first place. NMN is simply the precursor/raw materials for the body to make NAD. We want both, more raw material and less CD38z
I highly recommend taking Prohealth’s Full Spectrum Apigenin, as it is a blend that has been shown to improve Apigenin’s bioavailability.

Hi Carole, thank you so much for being here. I would give it a bit longer, especially since you just increased your dose, before you add another supplement. Of course tiredness can have so many reasons, if your hormones are all, for example, just taking NMN, while it might have a little bit, it’s not going to fix the situation. So if, after another four weeks on 1 g of NMN, don’t feel much better, I would maybe try to find what else could be going on. If I can help with anything, please do not hesitate to reach out. And please keep me posted.x

some people do not see results for months. this may be due to how complicated your body's problems are. the NAD+ boost you are getting can only go so far in repairing and bump the mitochondria for energy if there are so many biochemical processes to work on. if it goes past 6 months, then i would see what is going on in my body with a functional medicine practitioner. on the YT The Pulse, with Marcel, his informal survey of his viewers show 80% of them that take NMN felt something. 20% did not. Marcel figured out that some were not dosing high enough, some did not take TMG, some had some other underlying conditions that needed to be addressed. NMN is not a magic pill, but it feels like it to many people. i hope you feel better soon. i have not made the dive. i am trying to straighten out my body w/ exercise, as the diet has been cleaned up. also working on my stress levels. taking the occasional cold shower. once ready, i will talk to my FM, and buy a test kit to see my baseline

I just received my first order of nmn yesterday afternoon, and took my first dose this morning. I’ve also started IF again, as I have not been recovering well from exercise lately. Fingers crossed that it helps. I also purchased TMG, but am wondering if I need it since I take B12

Hi Sara, I hope the NMN, TMG and fasting will give you great results
What form of B12 do you take? Is it Methyl cobalamin? If so, you might be ok. But personally I would still add a bit of TMG, just to be sure

I take 1g NMN together with 1g TMG since a year and I try to live as healty as possible: vegetable smoothy, Sirt6 Activator, CA-AKG, wild salmon, Vitamin D3&K2, green tea and I eat no sugar or flour or processed meals. I workout daily, use red LED Devices......but it doesn't work, as signs of aging are appearing now: grey hair, sagging skin and losing hair. I hear a lot that for women NMN doesn't work and from men there is a lot of positive feedback. Maybe for us women its not so effective or even harming?

@@annemuller4499 It might be worth getting another blood check. And remember, what is considered "normal" means normal for your age. So menopausal range is supposed to be normal for a middle aged woman. But to feel good, those numbers are often way too low.

    • @claudiaglows
      @claudiaglows  ปีที่แล้ว

Hi, thank you for being here
TMG has many benefits, but it can also act as a methyl donor. When taking B3 supplements it is a good idea to also take a methyl donor, since there is a chance B3 can deplete them
I hope this helps, if not, I talk about TMG more in my supplement videos
