Sports Cars Don’t Matter

Sports cars often aren't the main focus for automakers.... because they don't make money! Sports cars may generate revenue for car companies, but generally it comprises a very small portion when comparing to more pedestrian, mass market cars. This is because sports cars are niche, expensive, impractical toys for which there is a very limited potential customer base. 0:00 Sports Cars are an Afte...

AUTOMOTIVE PERFORMANCE DIVISIONS EXPLAINED
what about the future GT 500? what about the future boss 429...? what about shelby super snake? speedster...?
Everything about this car is odd. The prototype design looked really cool, the production design changed ever so slightly and in all the worse ways. It just looks narrow and empty. Shoulda stuck with the prototype design 100%. Also, the elephant in the room; TT i6s with auto transmissions and EVs just are NOT cool, sorry, but it’s the truth. They’re cooked!
What i dont get you all want a V8, but you won't even buy the V8s they have out now, and you know after markups, no one is gonna buy the V8s you all cried about.
This guy really misses the impact of Biden's war on domestic energy, emissions, and the whole emission credit thing, which lets face it is what killed the v8 car altogether.
The US produced more oil during the last 4 years than any point in history
@@KeltonKozlowski then why did our gas prices skyrocket? Why the need for emission credits? Dodge was paying millions to Tesla due to the credits, which were in large part due to emission regulations brought about by commiefornia and Biden's epa. This was already told to us by Tim Kuniskis.. the actual ceo of Dodge before he was fired by the wokies. You really glossed over a lot in the video and it was obvious.
@@Whargoul-rs5cc now I thought they said they were testing the 5.7 v8 and another v8 something is not add up
Thanks to the left the muscle car history is ruined...EVS... the way to go😂😂😂😂😂😂
That Fartzonic speaker is going to move units!!
I don't think anything can save dodge
why do these car companies keep adding fake engine sound in the cockpit I wanna play music loud as I doing a 120 down I70 must be these baby boomers still in charge of this companies this is the time of stealth Lambos Ferrari Porsche are not loud cars if you're speeding up the street nobody needs to know also super stupid to put speakers on a electric car to make it sound like a V8 people ain't buying Tesla's for fake engine sounds
Im going Mustang coyote bye Dodge its been real.
I could not Promote, Sell, Sit in, let alone buy any Electric Vehicle's ( EV's ) even for $10,000,000 per hour. They are toxic to the Environment, and are dangerous to its passengers.. you can try challenging me on these 2 Facts. I also will never buy anything with Turbos unless it is a Porsche. I lived with them and don't last 40,000 miles. This is due to personal experience, and OEM doesn't know how Turbos get to 1,875° Fahrenheit or 1,020° Celcius. OEM Mounts the Turbos within an 1/8 inch from Aluminum Engine Block. Without a Heat Shield 🛡 between them, or a Turbo insulation blanket. Turbos warp Engine, or heads. Porsche mount them next to the wheels to keep Tires Warm, ( sticky ) and away from warping engines. Tuners do the same. In front of Engine, where even the pulleys act as a barrier. Ken Block Prime Example among others. Tuners have Heat Extraction Vents... OEM doesn't. All Ford Ecoboost and GM EcoTech are designed in the same way. Fail the same way. Ecoboost Mustang when it worked it was 30 mpg, When not most of the time 16 mpg. My Mustang GT V8 gets 23 to 25 mpg, and 30 on open highway. It is 100 lbs. Lighter the the Ecoboost with Automatic Transmission. My GT is the 3rd Fun Pedal 6 Speed Manual Transmission. Which means less Transmission Fluid so it doesn't have to go to Radiator Cooler. Making it heavier than the V8. V8 last 30 to 55 years. I know someone with 2 1960's Mustang's. Both with the original running V8's. One is the BOSS 302, and Other is Mach1. My V8 Mustang GT has 111,900 miles without leaks . I had a 2016 Ecoboost Mustang with the Paddle Shifters Automatic Transmissionand 1st engine replacement at 39,000 miles. It lasted 1.5 years and 2nd replacement at 60,000 miles. The EcoTragic 4 cylinder or V6 Turbos are a Scam just like the EV's. Anything Eco Green Environmentalists are a Scam. EV's are Toxic to our Underground Water, and cause Droughts Challeng me on this. V8's Forever 👦👍🏎🏁🚩♻️🏞🧗🌲
Why does your whole body move while speaking ? If it's your hands, they cause your shoulders to move back and forth including your neck and head.
Sorry, this EV mandate has done huge damage to the US auto industry. Hopefully under Pres. Trump we can return to sanity and save it! Of course dumb decisions by the folks at Stellantis aren't helping. Who thinks an electric car with digital sound and vibrating seats will be something anyone wants?
Almost no one wants a 6 cyl with turbos. Ford 6 cyl eco-boost motors should have been recalled years ago. I don't know how they keep the failure rate of turbos a secret. Look at the problems the Tundra, very complicated 6 cyl with turbos and replacing them after 100k miles will be common!
I would be fine with replacing Turbo's after 100k miles.
The one BIG mistake they made with the new model is selling the EV first.
I really enjoyed your video. What you describe also explains why prices on new cars tend not to amaze. They have a sizeable amount of features that you may want.. or not.
The Challenger came out in 1970. Otherwise, cool video!
I have no problem with hot hatches and 4 cylidners but i think its kinda sad to see mercedes 4 cylinder almost as fast as many v8s or v10s
Ford=💩
i own an fr-s and last year my car had to go into the shop and i got a 2023 maxima as my rental with the 3.5L VQ and it was honestly a fun car and it had paddle shifters so i could go in manual mode to ride the gears, the tech was nice as well
i daily a 2024 sentra and it’s been a good car. i would agree with all of your main points about the car but i do think you cut it short when discussing the handling ability of the sentra. its no race car but it can take some sharp turns
I didn't know they sold the Sentra with the Versa's 1.6 engine. In Mexico the only option available is the 2.0.
dont care
Yeah because it DOESN'T make sense to spend the money on a new model. Just get the same shit that's like 4 years old.
Car enthusiast here. I own 5. 1980 sierra grande, 92 tercel, 92 s10, 2010 IS F, 2020 mirage, 2024 wrx. Just bought wrx. All others paid of
As an owner of a new car and also been on the car enthusiast scene for a while. It was really eye opening how comfortable and full of widgets new cars are that make them, yes a tool, but at the same time a really comfortable and accessible one where some performance car lack. Obviously muscle cars are made for fun but when you have to just drive to get groceries or just run errands, they don't become the end all be all vehicle.
Why are you talking like that
all new cars suck, build quality has gone down in almost every brand
everyday
Asking as someone with a 2013 BRZ, How the hell did you make it all the way to 2024 without putting in a carplay head unit? 😂
Mechanics have almost all universally told me that new cars are not built as well. The cut corners everywhere to offset the costs of all the added tech. My 2011 Acura with a V6 engine literally still runs like new. Just had a preventative maintenance timing belt change and I should be good for another 100k miles.
I have 4 beaters at home. Try renting a car from National Emerald Aisle for road trips. You can pick any car in your group. I tried the brand new Kona and Mazda CX30. A few years ago I got lucky and picked a BMW from National. They also had Toyota and Nissan to choose from.
You would have been better off with an Altima with the 2.5 liter 4 cylinder. A much better engine and bulletproof.
Its a 2.0 litre 4 banger not 1.6
Bought a 2025 Sentra with the 6SMT. Definitely not an "enthusiast" car, but its awesome
I love how all these TH-camrs looked shocked in their thumbnails. Like they just saw a cat fight break out.
Agreed its ridiculous
I'm a car enthusiast in April my 06 g35 coupe with 285k blew the motor damaged transmission. Ended up in a 2020 hyundai veloster N manual. Best decision I've made it's nice fun and quick definitely not boring. My 1st car was manual good to be back
Love the Veloster N. Awesome choice
Ironically I'm a car guy that hates to drive therefore I drive old, reliable cars that I can pay cash for. The only thing is they have to have a manual transmission, and I prefer 4 cylinders with timing chains.
You are a god at talking slowly
It's true. I tried listing at 125% speed and he sounds like how most young people sound. He is the opposite of Ben Shapiro, who sounds better at 75%.
I'll tell you one thing, my 2008 Sentra is a piece of crap.
The Altima is a much better car.
modern cars nowadays are going downhill. old cars reign supreme in terms of reliability. it was simple back then.
survivorship bias ladies and gents
The trick with CVT is to change the fluid every 30 thousand miles and it should last much longer.
I’ve said the same thing simple tuners are getting 1000 hp they’re making 700whp stock they’re underestimating the 717 by far it’s more around 780HP 5,000 lbs won’t mean much when you have that much power They raced a 4.0 C63 vs the new C63 2.0 and the 2.0 won by almost 7 car lengths
Super helpful. Thank you!
Excellent info thanks Mr.K!
bmw are fugly with chipmunk buck teeth
Aren’t hot hatches sport card?
Z4 = too big and heavy, like a miata but after it's gone through a comfort eating depression spell for ten years XM = I'm glad there's not that many wankers in the world. Lexus = old man car, can't wait till they change that grill. Audi = look good but luxobarges aren't popular as you say, suvs took over that segment and unless it's an rs model bit pointless to go for a big audi saloon/estate. Genesis = who the hell are genesis? Fiat 500 = small cars don't make much sense when all your roads and streets are wide af and don't have any turns for 100's of miles of road at a time. Toyota/hyundai: imagine being an early adopter of this technology these days. Surprised any sold.
Perfect summary
Good video brother. I have a question, when you say “500” units for example. Is that 500 total vehicles sold? If so that’s insane. I work at Toyota and we will make 800-1000 minimum Camrys a DAY lol.
Yes totally right, that would refer to the total number of cars sold so far this year
