This is a grail watch to me. I been wanting one for years. But to the average person a few thousand dollars for a watch is alot. Even if i saved for a while i'm sure id have to spend the money on my car or home by the time i had enough saved up. Maybe one day.
The watches are getting more and more expensive as the years go by its true I remember when they cost 60 % less than they do now , Now a days there are so many good micro brands out there you can pick up some really cool watches for lass than half the price of the U1
Put a little money aside and treat yourself, Sir. I’ve worn nothing but Rolex for over 20 years until I purchased my first Omega this year and I’m drooling over this watch too.
Many thanks for as ever an excellent review. I bought a U50 when they came out as it has turned into my most worn watch. Absolutely love it. But still hanker for a chunky U1.
I have a 7" wrist and I prefer the U1 over the U50. I just feel it has more presence as a dive watch. The u50 look like It was trying to be something it wasn't. U1 B on barton rubber strap wears like a dream.
The U1 B is a nice watch for sure I have one Barton rubber strap on my Obris Morgen, it is nice but for me I like the Borealis ISO dive strap on my U2 B as its just as fixable as the Barton but thicker , If we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place :)
Why not come on the meet we are having its the 2nd of April at 1 o'clock there should be drink and food and maybe some Sinn freebies , if your interested let me know I'm starting to but a list together
I enjoyed this review. Note that the “back play” in the movement of the bezel is intentional and functional. There is nothing inexact or inadvertent about this watch. German engineering at its finest!
Thanks Werner , Just wait till next Friday I have the U50 review is coming out then and that I think is just a U1 but updated with a better movement better bezel action and the lume looks stronger to , I still say the UX has the best bezel action of all the Sinn divers it just so positive with zero back play ,this is because it uses a ball bearing system were the U1 and U2 use a spring system
The U1 just feels so solid and has its now unique look, it maybe bigger but is slimmer and the lug to lug is almost the same, I'd take the U1 personally, its only down side is the bezel action isn't as good as the Squale is
Can I ask Ur advice ? I got a new U boat chimera brand new some people say new watchs need a month break in ? Is that true after a week it was 1 minute fast. So stop it for a minute then started it back up now 10 seconds. I'm confused as my sinn an Damasko an Tudor were sweet! But bremont an breitling fast . 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I'd say normally after one day it should be ok if its only 10s that sounds about right for a U-Bout a demagnetiser may but only bring it down a little or if you don't wear it at night try leaving it crown on it side that may slow it down a second or two, bremont and breitling should both be less than 6s a day if they aren't try a demagnetiser
@ClickSpringReview my damasko had such tight basil tolerance it would jam when it was wet . So if diveing or swimming in the sea salt water crystallize an can clog it up . have a read up on that . Y is the ak 47 the most reliable weapon cos the parts have lose tolerances . Not trying be a dick I like Ur reviews a lot x
@@simonbailey2151 You can pick up used U1 models for around £1400 but I do remember back in 2010 new on a leather strap they to cost 999 euro's which back then = £750 , but thats the same with all the brands
They are ok as a cheap alternatives go , Its also worth checking out Draken watches their not as cheap but look very interesting , I have their up coming Kruger model in at the min for review and for the price its very good and looks like a Damasko Sinn cross over
@@ClickSpringReview I was very impressed to see a 300m mechaquartz watch. Plus they donate money to rhinoceros, although I can't imagine what the rhinos are spending it on. 🤷♂️

Thanks Robin always good to hear when people like the reviews , My U50 review comes out next Friday and between the two I like the U50 more
Always been interested in the U1, must get hands on with one. Looks great
It is the quintessential Sinn diver Richard
Another great video Barry 👍
Cheers Sir :)
Great review! Thanks.
Thanks for watching James and glad you liked it

Grail for me, love your review.
Its a beautiful watch, hope one day you are lucky enough to get one
i need to try on the U1 v U50 - made have to be sent to Coventry - just wish they would loose that date window

Exactly. Some of the Sinn divers have much better bezel actions which makes a mockery of the claim that the U1 bezel action is lousy on purpose.
@5:43 Scratch on the AR coating or dirt?
Just dirt Christoph but well spotted
Pond for pond wot do u thinks the best dive sports watch squale titanium or a sinn u1? Cant make my mind up 🤔
I do like the Squale titanium but the U1 is more iconic and has better bracelet and silicone strap options
@ClickSpringReview the sinn would U say it better made when U got a hold of them both or r Thay the same? . An yes Ur right the sinn is a legend!

Extra review....thankssS !
Anytime 👍🏻
Like the ux, I've ruled these watches out because of size without actually trying them on which is barmy!
I can see where your coming from but as they say you never know till you try Stephen :)
tegimented is the word you're looking for!
😅
I liked the u1 nad just buy one from Munich
It’s a very cool watch and doesn’t get more Sinn than this 👍🏻
It's lose so U can clean sand an crap out the besal
I know that what people say say Phillip but if it wasn't loose crap wouldn't find its way in so easy plus the later watches are not like this

Please, not Teg"li"mented... tegimented. :)
I'll try and keep that in mined for the next one Damian :)
or just get the helm Vanuatu
Definitely an excellent budget alternative, if you can find one!
Unfindable!
