Great video. I have four Sinn watches, ranging from 15+ years old to just a couple of months old, and all four have been fantastic. Really enjoyed the behind the scenes look here. 👍
Sinn are great. Hanhart as well. My Hanhart 417ES Flyback is a bit less than +2spd. I really like the Sinn 103 St Chronograph. German Watches are what I prefer. Adjusted in the positive is always better than the negative in my opinion. It also makes it easier to set correct time; pull out the crown, wait for time to catch up to you, press the crown in.
Sinn is an amazing company that make the best tool watches. My number one brand. I own the 103 St Diapal, 240, EZM3 and the U2. They are all incredible timepieces.
Really Good informative video with actual facts from the manufacturer. So much speculation on how they do things at the factory on forums but this clears a lot of that up.
One of German watchmakers worth buying. Sinn watch hold up pretty well on the secondary market. Which proves that brand has a quality product with great following.
Sinn is now what Rolex used to be forty years ago. Maker of durable watches for professionals. I had a Sub for diving, GMT for flying and a Daytona for rally racing. I used to rotate. Ever since I got the 556a and 356 they’ve been my work watches in the cockpit. Still have my Rolex watches but hardly wear them. Sinn for the win for professionals. Easier on the wallet too and no worries about getting robbed or damaging a very expensive watch doing extreme activities.
Own a tegemented black U2, with GMT function. The workmanship on this watch the quality and the cost make it in my opinion the ultimate tool/travel timepiece, I am proud to own it and have nothing but respect for this company, I want to visit them - German engineering at its best! I am gradually offloading my Swiss collection and will buy this brand and GO!!
From my understanding there is no such thing as a basic Sinn, you are very fortunate to have one on the wrist. I highly suggest going to thier website and ordering a free catalog it's very impressive basically it is a hard case book. Very nice.
@@BoleDaPole Yea maybe word 'basic' was unfortunate, but what I meant its one of their cheapest model, with Sellita SW200, three hander and date (no advanced complications), without Tegiment, oil inside etc. Still a great watch but 'basic' when compared to some of their other products.
Sinn is a great brand with really credible watch credentials. They're not blingy, they're not show ponies; they are the definition of what a tool watch should be. I don't have one but I want one. I wouldn't have my case repolished, I'd want it to show signs of wear, that's par for the course I feel.
@@datboytalkinrungotellem I bought mine separately since it wasn’t available for the 356 specifically and watch buys has rewards so i used them towards the clasp. It’s fully milled and is the same length as the original clasp so i got a perfect fit. It’s only a little thicker because of the mechanism. OEM parts are always going to bring a premium but the quality and overall price of the watch is worth it imo. Also, Steel Reef has an adjustable link for $140 which would serve a similar purpose but I wanted the Sinn clasp.
@@datboytalkinrungotellem you have to look at the watch and the total cost. With the clasp, it’s still a lot less than any other day-date, automatic chronograph on the market and Sinns have probably the best resale so if I need to sell it or fall out of love I can get my money back no problem.
I have had my Sinn UX GSG9 Hydro for about 2 years. I have Grand Seiko, Breitling and Omega watches. This Sinn UX is the one watch I will never part ways with. My daily wearer. Not looking forward to sending it in for a battery replacement, but I knew about that when I purchased it. Looking forward to my next Sinn purchase.
3M Fluorinert is the oil used in the UX . It’s fascinating to see the second hand bounce back as it struggles through it … well , perhaps not fascinating but quite interesting;)
I got scratches on my sinn 104 on the glass. Its definitely building character over a year of constant wear. Edit: Its only noticable when your really looking for it. I saw a video where you can actual remove the AR outer coating but i love how it is though so idc.
Enjoyable video; thanks for making it. I have a Sinn 556A and I think it's a great watch. Sinn seems to be a quality company that makes great watches. I would love to tour their factory...👍
Thank for the cool video 👍 Sinn is my favorite brand. Absolutely love my T1, T1B, EZM9, 857S & 836. Looking to pickup a UXS & 717 once the kids are out of college 😉

What a pleasant surprise to click on this video to find the familiar face of Mario from the ol’SpeedyFeetUK channel! Good to see you mate and in my other favourite subject of watches! Definitely a different world from working with EUC’s! Keep up the great work mate! 👍🏽👍🏽
Damasko’s ice hardening way better than tegiment. Sinn’s tegiment gives an eggshell effect whereas damasko’s hardening is all the way through. In fact, damasko use to harden sinn cases.
This is an just an ad, you'd never objectively answer the question the title. I love my 104, but with the new clasp, it costs 1800€ and the H-Link bracelet has like half a millimeter Olay between the horns. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it is A LOT, and results in rattling.
If you are a real watch collector, you are not bothered about residual value. Therefore you are spending a lot. the true watch collector is often somebody who has the same value in spending as someone who has two Rolex watches.
"Sinn doesnt make watches, they make time instruments." Oh, absolutely! Because calling them 'time instruments' totally changes everything. Next, they’ll be making *wrist-mounted temporal measurement devices*!
Was moments from buying the 556 I (no date) with the Selita SW200-1 movement, before realising (thanks to the online manual) that Sinn install the date movement and gift the owner with a ghost position on crown. Selita manufacture a no-date version of the SW200. Once I realised this was a corner they were cutting I couldn’t see past it. For all the theatre of showcasing components, measuring tools and white coats - at the end of the day they’ve made a business decision on a €1300 + VAT watch that I simply can’t get behind.
(Reads the premise of the whole video again) … yeah, fact-based perspective which is directly on-point not doing it for those in the cheap seats? Standard. Go on - got an informed opinion on Sinn to offer up?
My Sinn UX Ezm is a nightmare: it has a huge bubble inside, that Sinn is unable to solve, after 3 intents... I cannot even snorkel with it! Sinn does not want to repair it anymore or replace it.
