- In this video I tour Jonathan Motorcars in Edgewater Park, NJ. This dealership is a certified Superformance and Backdraft Racing Shelby Cobra dealership. They have a very knowledgeable crew in both their sales and service departments. It was a blast to check out their shelby cobra inventory because these have always been one of my dream cars.

The exposed hardware you see going around the one cobra is so you can put a soft top roof on it.

Looks like the steering wheel on the Grigio Superformance was swapped and the wood wheel was replaced? (Actually more matches the style/config of that particular car)
Ant take a look at the vid I shot last weekend at our cobra spring meet we had I think close to 160 or so cobras there. They are wonderful cars to drive

These Cars are NOT Shelby Cobras . They are simply Modern day Replicas of one .
They should not be called "Shelby Cobras " as they are actually NOT made by Shelby American .
None of those cars look like a "REAL " Shelby Cobra . They "Are " Awesome , But not a "Real" representation of an actual authentic 1960's Cobra .... Sports and racing cars from the 1960's
have a totally different look and Feel . Most people "today" NEVER sat in or even saw a Real Shelby Cobra in person,so how could they actually know , what one looked like ? ...... Beautiful video and
presentation , none the less : )) I have owned a REAL 427 "Shelby Cobra " since 1971 : )) therefore I Know what a REAL one looks and Feels Like !

I was Very Lucky ...
I purchased my Cobra for less than 8000$ in ' 71
I bought it from the original owner who paid 7995 $
The 'original 427's now can fetch near 1 million which is insane . Who Ever New ?
My kids will inherit mine , so they too can enjoy it 😊
They are indeed Rare
Only 326 Shelby Cobras were ever constructed...
There are a few small quantities of "Replicas" that come close to a Real one , but once you own a Real one , you Cannot be fooled 😉

I was thinking the same that those arent original. They are replicas, gorgeous replicas. I was wondering online there are several 1966 cobras for sale under $100k, would those be original or replicas? Are original cobras that reasonably priced, i thought there are only under 1000 made?

Only 363 ORIGINAL 427 Cobras were built ...
They sell for over 1 to 2
MILLION $ usually .
Replicas range from about 30k to 100k+ just depending .

@walterlefferts6297 haha makes no sense how they are able to call it a Shelby Cobra. Perhaps these other companies don't get sued because Shelbys estate allows the replicas to do their thing and live out their passion cars or at least copies. I've been researching them since last night and I have more to learn. If you have any videos of your Cobra spec, I'd love to see it.
If you cannot have the real thing, buy a fake. No one will know! I have NO problem with owners buying and enjoying these kit cars. But let it be KNOWN that they are in no way Shelby Cobra's.
