I had to wait 2 months also for my 6 lug steelies during the middle of the plandemic lock down. I ordered them thru Discount Tires, they ordered them from Coker Tires. I did it that way so I did not have to pay shipping fees. Thanks for the update on your truck Charlie.
I actually found a really old shop where they specialize in old vintage wheels. They replaced the rings only on my wheels to clear my disc breaks. They did a great job. 65$ per wheel.
Fixing to do this on my 66 looking at the kit from Pol but going disc/disc they have a kit with a booster and master and one without do you regret not getting the booster. Love your vids man lots of help and ideas gonna be looking at the deadend notch also but gotta get brakes first i currently have zero brakes
@@Snacks-mv2zp yes and no. I like that there is less clutter under the hood and it actually stops pretty good without the booster. Only time I wish I had a booster is on aggressive stops. Takes more foot effort to let’s say lock up the wheels, than it would with it.
Appreciate this comment since I'm running the 4WD Blazer wheels. They're 15" diameter and the kit says that was the minimum. Would hate to order the kit and it not clear the wheels.
@@briancarroll6526 no problem works on my 1966 , depending on what kit you order , mine was cpp and they come with short rubber brake lines for 70s c10 which had the rubber brake line mounting tabs on front side of crossmember instead of on rear like the drum brake trucks , I had to find longer rubber brake lines ...this is something that I couldn't find addressed anywhere on the internet about the kits. The short lines worked but rubbed the inner wheel when turned full lock on my truck. So I'd double check that when you install your kit

I am currently leaning towards the CPP upgrade kit (6370SWBK-6D) which has '73-'87 spindles, ball joints, etc. Not sure if there's a performance benefit to going to '73-'87 components, but I guess parts would be more readily available. I am also considering the modular kit (6370SWBK-6). Is the only upside of the modular kit being that you could upsize your rotors in the future if you got larger wheels? I may upgrade to 17" or 18" wheels at some point, but I'm not sure I would upsize the rotors just cuz. I do plan, however, on going w/o boost initially. And, if I want to add boost later, I guess I would need to get a different master cylinder (disc/disc and larger bore) as well as a different proportioning valve? #tryingtolearn
Whether I agree with wearing a mask or not, last time I checked this is still America and I respect your choice not to wear one. If people are that scared about others wearing a mask they need to keep their butts at home. I also wanna do disc's on my 66 but can't decide to do 5 lug conversion also or not.
Depends on what wheels you want to run. There is more options in 5 lug vs 6 lug. They make the wheels I wanted in 6 lug so I stayed with it. I'm not scared of anyone wearing a mask. If you want to wear one then wear it. I respect their/your choice to where one but I"ll never wear one outside for any reason.

Glad you like the videos. Some day I’ll do rear discs but the front is a must for better stopping power.

72+ blazer 6 lug 4x4 factory disc brake wheels will work also , known as the "4 nub wheels" still see them pop up on craigslist for $40-50 a piece
