53:02 There's one more I'd like to add with Rex-Hamm's exchange in quotes during Sid's introduction: Rex: "I thought he was in summer camp." Hamm: "They must have kicked him out early this year." He must have done something so bad to have him get this kind of punishment. He's a bully to children. That being said, screw him. So what that he didn't know that the toys are sentient? Way to scare the kid straight to never be a jerk to kids or toys ever again.
I personally feel Woody is like an older brother learning to accept his younger brother, Buzz, and that it doesn't matter if he isn't "the house king" ("the favourite toy") anymore, because "his parents" (or well, "his kid" in this case) will always love him no matter what, and that it's way healthier and sweeter to have a warm, friendly relationship with your younger sibling. I like seeing Woody and Buzz not just as friends but as brothers. (And they never get separated. Never. Pixar didn't release any film in 2019, it was just a bad dream. And Klaus won the Oscar in 2020.) Ps. "Animation is cinema, animation is not a genre." - Guillermo del Toro.

One little detail that I never really noticed in the first couple movies is that the toys never really blink in unison. You know like how normal people would blink both eyes at the same time the toys don't really do that there's a little bit of a delay where are they blink one eye then a split second later they blink the other. In the later movies they start having them blinking Unison but I honestly kind of like that they don't blink in unison because it makes it seem more like these things aren't supposed to be alive they're not supposed to be moving.
In addition to what you said, I'd also interpret Buzz freezing in front of Andy as just an instinctual response, and his statement about fitting in with their culture is the rationalisation he gives.
i love that they made woody say to infinity and beyond instead of buzz to show that woody's grown connection between him and buzz. at first he hated buzz and was so annoyed at the space ranger stuff, but once he started tolerating buzz, and when he was at a low point, when he thought he wasnt gonna make it back to andy and then he started flying with buzz back to andy, he was so (for lack of a better word) excited to the point where he yells out "to infinity and beyond!" to show how content and happy he is to be able to fly back home to andy, and that now that hes content with buzz now and how he doesnt mind the space ranger stuff anymore. its the best scene. my favorite when i was little.

@@absolutnykokot1133 yep Toy Story 4 should be removed from Disney+ and the Star Command cartoon will take its place there. Let’s petition for that to happen!
I'm incredibly tired of people dumping on Lightyear. No, they did *not* butcher his character, BECAUSE IT'S A DIFFERENT CHARACTER. I mean how obvious it should be that a toy Buzz and a human buzz from the movie are 2 different people. Heck, the Buzz who attacks the original Buzz in the second Toy Story had an entirely different personality. Sure he started off similar to the original Buzz, but later on we see he's his own person. Same with the movie. As for lore - they could have changed the lore for the toys lineup to appeal more to kids, simple as that. Iron Man for example, his movie is entirely different from some his version for pre-schoolers, and this is just one example of many examples that could be made. Criticize the movie on its own as much as you want, but leave Toy Story movies out of it, because those are two different continuities and they are two different people. I completely agree on everything you say about Buzz in TS4, but it just doesn't apply to Lightyear *because he's not a toy in that movie* The only lore part where the creators screwed up is saying "Andy loved that movie so he became a fan of Buzz Lightyear". But it might have been Disney's corporate decision and not of the writers themselves for all we know. But changing a lore from the original movie all the way down to a toy commercials? It changes pretty frequently even in our world.

If only disney then was good to day
Ok I will make the game 😊
If you are a transformers toy in the Toy story universe you are alive if your fork face sorry you're not
hi im woody howdy howdy howdy
Ok
I completely agree on everything you say about Buzz in TS4, but it just doesn't apply to Lightyear *because he's not a toy in that movie*
The only lore part where the creators screwed up is saying "Andy loved that movie so he became a fan of Buzz Lightyear". But it might have been Disney's corporate decision and not of the writers themselves for all we know. But changing a lore from the original movie all the way down to a toy commercials? It changes pretty frequently even in our world.
Add Disney land. There is a pizza planet like at tomorrowland.

If only more people were to say something like this in chat.
My legitimate response to 3:23.
Okay........The Amazing Spider-Man 1 is nothing, and I mean nothing like Incredibles 2.
Unlike that mid Pixar sequel, Amazing Spider-Man had good writing, a well-thought out story, the characters and their motivations made sense, and it didn't do the same mistake Incredibles 2 made of just prioritizing quantity over quality, it had a good balance of both.
If anything The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is more on par with I2 because yeah, it fell off. Wayyyy off, cause it went to using contrivance to resolve story problems and tried so desperately to set up multiple sequels and follow-ups that it felt less like a cohesive story with spectacular superhero spectical, it just felt like a hodgepodge of action scenes that where building up to the sequel-baiting ending.
