I haven’t finished the video yet, but interestingly enough, MatPat has explained the Blues Clues origin story lore. Essentially, the episodes connect by how yes Blue is this unique puppy connected to the Blue Moon somehow but she ALSO has the unique magical ability to “skidoo” into books and pictures. So, to connect the dots here, Blue was born under the magic moon, skidooed into a book, and that book was eventually given to Steve. (MatPat goes more into depth lol but you get it).
The moral of this movie is either that kids shouldn't care about things making any sense at all, or that kids should be thankful that things in REAL LIFE make much more sense than anything here.
A word of warning: I am about to go DEEP into the game of Blues Clues in this movie, and show you why I believe it's way more brilliant than it looks. You are more than welcome to ignore this but hear me out: 26:17: When Josh says he doesn't know where the audition is.....here's the thing. Blue always knows everything the hosts need to know before they do in the original show and the reboot. So, if she KNEW where the audition was? That would've been the moment where she started acting all coy with Josh--and then Josh would have noticed and said, "Blue! You know where my audition is? Oh thank goodness. Where is it?" And that would've prompted the Blues Clues game. But notice.....she doesn't here. She looks just as worried as Josh and goes with him to see if they can find the notebook or at least where the audition is. It is only after Josh realizes how dire the situation is that Blue gets an idea. You can see it perk up her face after sitting there dejected (which you didn't show in your highlights) ....Blue remembered something. What she remembered was the letter from Rainbow. 15:40 Pause right there and look in the BACKGROUND. There's a piano ...and she's clearly standing on a stage.....and look off to the right there. You can clearly see the edges of some curtains, and they are definitely rainbow colored. So Blue doesn't know EXACTLY where the theater is--again, she's as lost as Josh here--but she does remember 3 things about it.......and so the TRUE answer to Blue's Clues in this movie--that the second kid at the Thinking Chair tells him--is: Find a theater that has a piano and rainbow curtains. Now, that doesn't help the situation--it's not like the cab driver knows what every theater LOOKS LIKE...but Blue is preschool age, right? She's going with what she knows, THINKING it'll be enough to help. Even though it isn't...luckily the gang finds them soon after. Am I thinking deeper than the creators intended? Most certainly ;) But I like that the details are there in the movie, and that intentionally or not, they made Blue not all knowing for this movie. :)

@@jessicab831 Yeah way back when Joe was gonna be the new host. They did a parody kinda announcement on TV, having the voice actor for Squidward, using reused animation from an episode, talking in a sarcastic tone about how he’s “excited” to be the new host for blue clues and how he’s sure he’ll do a “Fabulous job” Then screen cuts in with Joe going “Heh, Squidward stop telling everyone that. I am the new host of blues clues, me, Joe. Then some announcer lady goes “Is it Squidward or is it Joe? Find out”
Nobody talks about the finale of Blue Clues, the one where Joe talks to the puppet Blue and the two go on an adventure with this new character. I think his name is Spot, but I’m not sure. It most I remember was they used a golden thinking chair. Yeah the original Blue’s Clues series got kinda weird towards the end. Not bad or anything like that, it just started experimenting with concepts you wouldn’t think would actually be in a show like Blue Clues. It is surprisingly interesting to talk about ngl.
So, all those Blue's Clues jabs are finally gonna pay off. Also, may we discuss that this movie and by extension, Josh's run makes Blue's Clues feel more like a generic franchise now? 'cause it feels like it is...I mean, aside from the fact that Josh is Jesus Christ in blue now, apparently. Honestly, him losing the DNA of the show with the notebook being gone could be a good plot in itself, but no! Heck, the plot could have been, "Oh, so the Burns family are gods in their own world, but thrust into real NYC...it's cliché, but way better than shit just coming alive *CONVIENIENTLY."* Also also also, other than the really cute detail that all the hosts are friends, man, this movie can stuff it! Stuff it! One more complaint about this movie is that the CGI and the movement makes everything look really glossy and unnecessarily terrifying and that lends to my theory that the "aliveness" of things in the Blue's Clues world/Burns Family powers work on an inward-character level, which is why Josh feels so freaking offputting yet stuff comes alive still despite the forced charisma - the universe broke, it couldn't handle Joe leaving too so it took *ANYONE* in the family, regardless of people skill. However, I am - *especially in light of whatever the fuck Cars on the Road was* - extremely delighted at the fact that Blue's Clues has a tightly wound clock of worldbuilding to the point where Josh is so easily accepted as part of the Burns family.
It’s been such a long time since I’ve thought about Blue’s Clues. Admittedly, it was one of the shows I would watch so often. I watched a few episodes from the reboot when it first premiered, and it didn’t feel exactly right compared to the original. Not saying it’s super bad, but it’s just there. As for this movie…well everything about this film feels so weird and even out of place. Which makes it so bad, it’s honestly hilarious.
To be honest, I really wanted to like Blue’s Big City Adventure. I really did. But the problem is that it doesn’t do enough to feel like an actual Blue’s Clues experience, let alone a theatrical Blue’s Clues film. A good majority of the cast is sidelined, the characters we do focus on do nothing of significance, the genius formula and structure are just vaguely existent, things just happen that don’t make sense, there’s hardly any educational value to it, and the audience isn’t part of the action as much as they should be. There was talent and good things to be found here and there, but it can’t make up for how generic the whole thing was. It sorta looks like Blue’s Clues, it sorta sounds like Blue’s Clues, and it even has the same faces as Blue’s Clues, but it just doesn’t feel like Blue’s Clues. It feels like every other big-budget modern kids' film that’s trying to use its lineup of celebrities, blatant/weak fanservice, and a wide array of special effects to get people to watch it.
I, along with a lot of other people who come up with the original sure enjoyed the movie. I feel like in this case you’re paying attention to too many Of the details.
Actually, yes; yes I am. No matter what, whether they commit to TS4's ending or scramble to reverse it, it's going to be a wild ride to see and discuss the movie. I am legitimately hyped for when TS5 eventually comes out.
@@GamingMagic13Here’s my Epic Film Theory for Toy Story 5: It turns out the entire time Toy Story 4 was a dream that some Pixar executive had one day, and once they saw that somethings not right with the characters, he’s going the recon the entirety of Toy Story 4 to say it’s not canon like how Crash Bandicoot 4 is the real sequel to Crash 3. Perfect example of don’t believe everything you hear. Maybe watch the movie so you can see for yourself. Yes, I know it’s been five months, I just happened to stumble upon this video.
I also hate the new Blue's Clues! I was appalled when they announced they were making it. My childhood was built on a foundation of Disney, Disney Pixar, Dora and Blue's Clues. Plus some other sfuff piled on. They take everything that made my childhood and remake it but it's 100 times worse.
Yeah, I agree with you, unfortunately. Everyone knows the plot of The Lion King and the 2019 movie had changed some important parts of the plot and some characters' personalities completely, but at least TLK 2019 had a coherent plot of some sort. Blue's Big City Adventure didn't really have much story or plot st all.
You guys should do a commentary on Inception (right now, it's on Hulu). The movie itself and its characters are good, but Inception is literally one of the most batshit-insane movies I've EVER seen (no, I'm not saying that it's bad, again, it's a really good movie), and I figured that you all could laugh so hard at its insanity multiple times. It gets even more insane in its climax, even moreso than in Toy Story 4 (no, not in terms of plot, but you'll see...). Also, ACatNamedFG should join you guys in a commentary at some point.
We’re a little backed up on movies and shows to record at the moment, but we’ll definitely make note of the suggestion for the future. As for FG joining us…stay tuned for next Tuesday. ;)
I can tell you right now as someone who has seen Inception I definitely do not think it’s commentary worthy Great film, but doesn’t fit our Audio Commentaries
@@AvertAT I promise you, your friends will absolutely LAUGH at or at least be shocked or surprised by the insanity of its climax (not the script, but moreso... its visuals).
"INCEPTION" SPOILERS AHEAD FOR TREVOR/GAMINGMAGIC13 AND HIS FRIENDS!! DO NOT CROSS UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE!! Also,@@AvertATHere's why I think your friends will laugh at/be shocked/surprised by the movie: The entire climax of the movie is just a truck falling into the water in slow motion (while the characters are doing their thing in the bottom two "layers" of the dream). And that's not even mentioning the iconic zero-gravity/tilting hotel hallway fight. The movie in general keeps propping itself up and treating itself as if it were super-large in scale and super epic, even with Hans Zimmer's super-intense musical score playing... despite the actual main mission itself being lower-stakes with the characters... doing a heist/planning their inception in ONE person's LITERAL DREAM (rather than in the real world) that will benefit ONE other person (two, if you count Saito, and maybe more if you count his entire company/business/"empire"), rather than trying to save the world or the multiverse or even all of reality. We also have the opening dream heist involving a castle/fortress/monastery and later it flooding... in a DREAM (layer) as Cobb is thrown into in a tub of water in the above layer, yadda, yadda, the entire mission in the prologue was a heist in someone else's DREAM (the whole thing), and ignoring the folding city as well as things floating when Cobb's training Ariadne in their shared dream, we have a (subconscious) literal train crashing through stuff in the top DREAM layer in the main mission as well as an alpine snow fortress heist... still in a DREAM. That's HOW INSANE Inception is. EDIT: Honorable mention also goes to Ariadne falling off the building and to her limbo-death as there's a storm, complete with lightning, while the super-intense Hans Zimmer score is playing and they're still obviously in a DREAM (just the limbo "layer"[?]).
@@GamingMagic13Which movies and shows are on your list but haven't done any commentary with your friends on (not even any recording), other than Inception?
That movie is quite literally a clip show with only small bits of original footage. The only story is Wubbzy his memory so now his friends, need to show him episodes from the show then say YEP THATS A MOVIE. At least with Belle’s Magical World, the show was never released.
You think blue’s clues is the best kids educational show bitch Sesame Street has been existing for like 50 years. At this point it has 50 times episodes double the movies and 15 more funny out of context clips.

As for FG joining us…stay tuned for next Tuesday. ;)
I can tell you right now as someone who has seen Inception I definitely do not think it’s commentary worthy
Great film, but doesn’t fit our Audio Commentaries
@@AvertAT I promise you, your friends will absolutely LAUGH at or at least be shocked or surprised by the insanity of its climax (not the script, but moreso... its visuals).
"INCEPTION" SPOILERS AHEAD FOR TREVOR/GAMINGMAGIC13 AND HIS FRIENDS!! DO NOT CROSS UNTIL YOU'VE SEEN THE MOVIE!!
Also,@@AvertATHere's why I think your friends will laugh at/be shocked/surprised by the movie:
The entire climax of the movie is just a truck falling into the water in slow motion (while the characters are doing their thing in the bottom two "layers" of the dream).
@@GamingMagic13Which movies and shows are on your list but haven't done any commentary with your friends on (not even any recording), other than Inception?
ayo steve got doxxed in new york
Have you seen Wubbzy's Big Movie? Its worse
That movie is quite literally a clip show with only small bits of original footage. The only story is Wubbzy his memory so now his friends, need to show him episodes from the show then say YEP THATS A MOVIE. At least with Belle’s Magical World, the show was never released.
@@richardarbetter4043 That was the first time my brother ever felt disappointment
Yo if your still doing kids movies remember curious george the movie
The one with Will Ferrel, David Cross, and Drew Barrymore?
Yes, that movie.🙂😘🙂
You think blue’s clues is the best kids educational show bitch Sesame Street has been existing for like 50 years. At this point it has 50 times episodes double the movies and 15 more funny out of context clips.
has anyone else randomly been unsubbed?
