This was my first ever Gundam related model, and it got me hooked on Gunpla as a whole. I love this thing, so much joy in my life now came from this one purchase.
I honestly don't get the people who complain about the static frame. it's perfect when you want the g frame to be in a decent standing pose and can make multiple g frames in a uniform standing pose like you said. I've seen my fair share of gunpla builders and even reviewers who'd complain about the lack of articulation of a figure, but then they can't even make a decent standing pose. I bought the MS-06F Zaku II g frame and I'm freaking loving it. nice and very informative review as always!
These figures really remind me of Mobile Suit in Action with their slightly smaller than 1/144 scale, more durable materials, and the artistic licensing on the surface detail.
I think even think twice... I buy ALL the G Frames stuff, It is candy toy cheap. The rabbit hole started when I found them on clearance at TARGET store for $5.99. After trying one, I can't believe it offers so much for such small price. Soon... I'm $350 in the line later and pretty much gotten all of my favorite Mobile Suits in GFrame line. The Revive Version is even better! They fill in all the gap on the back of the bicep and leg thighs. It is crazy just how good these candy toys are. The most expensive I purchase has to be the GFrame FA Custom Gouf and Witch from Mercury's Aerial. Btw, Subbed.
Target had the series 13 and I think they are getting 14 but i only saw that once I got the Zaku f2 but broke the shoulder joint.... fixed it though and now he's good
happy you're taking a look at a g-frame release. I've been kinda intrigued with the line since I started looking into gundam collecting, they have a really nice variety of MSs and seem like neat little pickups. the one thing that turns me off from it is just the scale. I'd want something like this as a cheaper substitute for a kit on my display, but that slight bit of difference in height would drive me crazy and i'll end up picking up more g-frames just to not make it look so out of place on the shelf 😅
What might bug you even more is they don't even follow the same scale between one another because they're all the same height, though the F91 happens to be basically 1/144 in this size. But they are uniform height so there's an odd sort of tidiness to that

I picked up GP01fb at a local shop shop on a whim and it's a neat little thing! On mine, I left the straight legs on the base so my GP01 is literally balancing on a naked robot's, uh, "beam rifle"
The GP02 is really nice too from the Japanese review videos I've seen. Crazy thing was 3400 yen though, or else I think I'd have gotten it together with the FB
I was not won over by the first releases. I was hoping it would replace the assault kingdom line properly. I'm coming back to it now, à bit late though, after being won over by the mobility line.
I've always thought of getting one of these gframes as a fun little side painting project! Although living in a place where these aren't sold regularly in stores means getting em through secondhand tend to up their prices unfortunately..
It seems that Bandai's toy division products aren't nearly as widely distributed as the Hobby Division things. Maybe for the upcoming FA series you can keep an eye out for any imports. I sure want the Alex from it to do a video

Glad I got blue destiny if the OG G-frame series is getting shafted for FX but my box was a target one with no gum and both boxes combined so I didn't keep it
I kind of wonder why hadn't more people taken parts of this kit to use yet, when I made the video, I thought for sure there'd be a lot of people trying to adapt all the newly sculpted bits into builds
I think Entry Grades feel more well rounded even though they're thin on accessories. GFrame figures are nice as their own thing but they don't fit well with most other things you'd have on display - and yeah, if stores don't have them and they're past their time, it's tough to find which is annoying
The GM Command is about the same height as the RX-78 Gundam, so the height difference between this and an HG GM Command should be the same as what's in the video
5:31 the exposed frame on the backside on some of the limb really gives me lego ccbs (hero factory/bionicle g2) vibe. Lego even tries to use ccbs system to make buildable figures of human star wars characters and it looks terrible
Does the shield adapter work with an HGCE or Entry Grade Strike Gundam? I know that they're different scales, but they look similar enough that they might be compatible.

Buster Gundam and some other sets,and they just don’t sell any single box sets over here in the U.S.,from what I’ve seen in Target and Hobby Lobby
Yes it would like GFF too. While my reference of SCM like, example SCM pegasus cloth of seiya, when the "armor"/cloth used by seiya. There is leftover pegasus statue that not used for armor up seiya.
the boxy shield is meant to recreate the GM command from the blue destiny games
as it used a boxy shield, bullpup MG, and gm colony type backpack.
I kinda think that's what they're going for too, but I wonder why they made it in the sand yellow color to troll us...

I picked up my gm command a few weeks ago and it’s quite good. And the customization is alright.
It'd be such a better product if they covered up the backsides.
But it's hard to hate a GM Command too much in any form

You’re lucky you didn’t go right to a master grade like I did with the mg thunderbolt gundam ver ca. which is a hand granade

Yeah I think so too. The F91 happens to be close to a 1/144 size but I think it's the only one that got lucky

Hm you too. Someone else mentioned breaking the shoulder too. It didn't feel fragile to me but maybe it really can't bear much stress

the stand mode might have lookt better if thay made it more square with the arms hiden under those extra bits
I do wonder why theu didn't arrange the parts in more of a square to hide the humanoid look

These things aren't cheap in Canada. Around $20. Some series don't even arrive. So random. How do they compare to entry grade?
