- Gundam Artifact started with a big hit and Phase 2 is here with the Full Armor Gundam, GM Thunderbolt Ver, Dom Tropen, Zaku III and V2 Assault Buster Gundam!
If you can believe it, Phase 2 has details that are even more dense and more radical than the first set AND fixes many of the issues from before, so this set is a great purchase if you like what you see.

can't believe it's almost a year
the creator of hobby clubhouse was arrested about a year ago for molesting a minor and is currently in jail and will serve for about 3 years. it was all over the news in Hong Kong during 2022June, you can search up ‘netflix and chill hong kong teacher’ and i believe you’d find information about it. i know this because i was one of his former students and hope others will be aware of this as well before supporting any of his content anymore.
He's back.

These are such a pain to build but I absolutely love them for bridging the gap between my two hobbys of tabletop miniatures and gunpla scale modeling
I was so happy when these new ones came together so much nicer. The Nightingale and Ex-S in the first set is quite a lot of work

The amount of details in this series is nuts!! I've already seen a few mods where japanese builders made joints for it and the paint job on those custom build is just jaw dropping. Great overview and insight as always.

Thanks for this video! I am eagerly awaiting this second series! I build primarily wargames miniatures for tabletop games and these models are ideal for many rulesets. While somewhat fiddly to build and somewhat limited in their posability, they are perfect for gaming, and the price is quite reasonable in comparison to many other gaming models.

I love your videos! Great production value and good objective look at the kits without being flashy like mecha gaikotsu or boring like zakuaurelius. Hope to see a comeback at some point

These kits are really amazing! I especially like the V2 Assault Buster Gundam! Would really like to see these be upgraded to 3" or 3.5" in size. Just imagine how much more details could be refined and overall loose joints issues could be fixed as well.

It would be cool if Bandai made a table top game with these minis
In the meantime there's a few good games they could be played in. If you're looking at a competitive game try Gundam Warfront or Gamma Wolves. If you're after a solo campaign based tabletop game then Weasel-Tech would be perfect.

Could you do a review of the new HG Dragonar 1? It’s a beautiful throwback to the original 80’s Dragonar kits with a full inner frame, 80’s box art, and basically perfect color separation.

This set won't disappoint you, I have to say again how surprised I was that they improved the construction so much when they very well could have left it janky and we'd sort of understand

The green looks cool, like a jade made gundam. The red in the first video looked interesting too, until you mentioned Jello. Now all I can see of the red one is JELLO gundam 🤣
I loved building the first wave, most of my hobbying involves wargaming miniatures so I'm pretty comfortable working with this size, and they're much better mini-model kits than the Robotech RPG Tactics ones were. I'm mounting mine onto 60mm round bases for wargaming purposes, and I'm happy to see more line units in wave 2.
They're selling really well in Japan, being cleared out all around, so I think we'll even get a Phase 3.
I've heard a lot of tabletop gaming fans comment on the first set's review, it really does seem these are right up everyone's alley (kinda wonder if Bandai had that in mind or not)
Yeah, they worked with Games Workshop on some things so I can definitely see this as a way of them dabbing their toes into the water without saying as much.

I finally got my first one, the FA Gundam, and of course it's that ugly clear green.
In actually wanted to have the unpainted yellowish plastic ... Why are rare Gachas always clear!?

what are the challenges if bandai decide to scale these designs up for a bigger size? The mold already exists, can't they just scale it up or they would have to redesign it all over again?
They could use the 3D CAD files as a base, though in that hypothetical process, they'd have to redo almost everything because the kits here would have super thick walls if they're just scaled up (expensive to make, but also impossible to mold). It would only save them some of the initial steps - a lot of work still, but a ton more follows after it
Here's my idea about why they have you open the side.
They know everyone hates the gum and that we all know what they make their kits with. So, they put the opening on the most least interesting side cause they know you won't care.
Bandai Drone: "I put all the bad news on the side so they'll tear it open and won't go looking at any of it."
Bandai Manager: "Genius."

They just look cool. Their cheap and despite their size are difficult to build. You can also paint them. Basically it’s all about the looks
It's about the aesthetics since they are meant to emulate the look of resin kits which are usually very detailed.
Except that this is smaller but makes it more impressive either way.
