    In this video, we look at three classic 12-bar blues bass lines and how to play them. I also teach you about the 12-bar form, and how to understand this, to help you play authentic sounding bass lines. With this knowledge, you can construct your own bass lines, songs, and jam Blues with new people.
    The lines are fairly simple, so you can use this lesson right from absolute beginner level, upwards.
    I have written the bass lines out for you, also with Tab, which you can download by following the link at the top of this description. There are also backing tracks on my channel, which you can practice your blues walking lines to.
    You may want to check out my 'Bass Beginner Series'. The lessons in the series cover lots of topics for beginners, with tips on bass techniques, scales, arpeggios, pentatonics, and learning to read music.

      Thanks, big fan of Santana too. Saw him live at Wembley, quite a few years ago. It was awesome!

    Hey Greg, I just checked out your 12 Bar Blues Lesson, and was watching you play Black Magic Woman, can you use that same bass line anywhere on the fret board?

    • @GregsBassShed
      @GregsBassShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can use this bass line anywhere on the fretboard. It's uses the root, 5th, flattened 7th, and octave. So if you have another tune with a similar groove, then this bass line is great to use in any key.
