    Another great lesson, thank you. I can play the easy root, third, 5th notes in 12 bars.......i can now have a go at a bit more improvisation.

      Great John Clark have fun with that and do ask if you have any questions when you are experimenting with improvising your own lines.

    Great video and some really cool bass lines! And thanks for sharing them in a pdf! However, I had to notice that fingerings/fret suggestions in the tab version are completely off in the first example, the Country Blues bass line. Jumps from third to ninth fret and back in one line (bars 42/43) are absolutely senseless and might confuse some not so experienced players. I suggest you’d better check that again. Otherwise, fantastic stuff, and really great work!

    Outstanding video and thank you for sharing your expertise and love of the blues. Would love a video on triplets... where and when to place them in a progression. I'm working hard to take my playing to the next level

      Thanks so much Gregory. Great idea for a lesson on triplets. Haven’t done anything like that yet. I’ll put it on my lesson list.

    Great video Greg! Lot's of great information to get started and it's really nice how you started simply and dialed up the complexity (not complex, but more interesting) bass lines. Such good stuff for us to work and develop our own voice in walking bass.

      Kevin M Gonyo thanks. I think it’s important not to throw players in at the deep end. More walking lessons coming, and I am working on a larger Starting Jazz Video Course.

      Hi Carl that’s strange. I have updated the automations recently though. Did you check your Junk folder? You may have to opt into the mailing list again.
      I am giving these PDF’s out still.
      Can you get in touch via the website and I’ll help you out.

    Thanks for PDF. Could you put the chord names above the notation please.

    • @GregsBassShed
      @GregsBassShed  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good suggestion, I'll do that in future. On the second page of the PDF I have put the 12-bar chord sequence which is a good idea to learn, then you always know where you are during the walking bass line. This will hopefully help you.
