Good job on your vids. Your instruction is clear and easy to follow, but still intelligent and informative.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Alex and I am really glad that my lessons are hitting the mark, Greg
Thanks for this video lesson Greg ;much appreciated
No problem Jon.
Good stuff. Thanks brother. Keep them coming.
No worries, glad you are enjoying the videos.
really great lesson
Cheers Eric. I just grabbed a drum loop from somewhere and then added some very basic keys to it. I try to create my own backing tracks and am lucky that I know some very fine musicians who are up for playing on some of them!
Good job Greg! 🤩
Cheers Bessy.
Is that a backing track you created or something that is available on youtube? The drum part is cool.
Do you give zoom lessons
What key are you in, how does that relate to fills? Shapes we don't need the approach and theory is what we need. I guess it's time for formal lessons
Hi Orlando, the groove starts and ends on a C which should give you a clue to the key straight away. Did you check out the PDF? That has the key and the chords on it. I very much use the PDF to support the lesson. If you have both then you have all the information that you need.
As a side note, using shapes is definitely part of improvising and constructing bass lines so you do need them alongside theory. But you are correct in that you will progress much more quickly with formal lessons than expecting one TH-cam video to tick all your particular needs for whatever level you are at.
@@GregsBassShed thank for the reply Greg. I think I'm at that point. I finding more and more vid give me more questions than answers. Keep on trucking brother!
Yeah TH-cam lessons aren't structured unless there are playlists. They are 'shots in the dark' to some extent so won't necessarily be relevant for where you are at.
Personally I created my TH-cam channel so people can see what I do and then if they like it, they can join my mailing list and then look into taking lessons with me or doing one of my courses/boot camps.
Good luck with your playing, you'll get there!
Are you great or great- maybe even better than great --
I don't know, that's a difficult question to answer!
@@GregsBassShed Well then, let me answer the question 4 ya - yr great.
Those lessons are so much fun ---
