  • The REAL Reason I Started a Cold Plunge Therapy Company.
    After a painful back injury that nearly wrecked his chances of ever skiing or playing Tennis again, Bill Bachand discovered the benefits of cold water immersion therapy and the Wim Hof Method.
    In this video he walks you through the inspiration behind creating the best cold plunge tub on the market and the benefits he’s personally experienced from daily cold water plunging.

    I've tried it, going from hot whirlpool to cold plunge and I couldn't get sick all winter. Must boost the immune system or something.

    I grew up near Canada and people did this in the snow and they do this in Norway then get in the sauna after.

      @@RENUTherapy can you add ice blocks to get cold? Is there more benefits to cold tanks like 33-35f degrees? I’m new to cold therapy but love my cold showers now. Like you said earlier the cold showers are nice but I feel now it’s not enough once you get into a routine or used to the cold.

    • @RENUTherapy
      @RENUTherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sure, you can always add ice if you want to drop the temperature lower. The lowest setting is 39 degrees F, which is VERY VERY cold, but if you prefer it colder, you can throw some ice in there. There's very little science to show any added benefit of going colder than 39.

    What size tank is this? I put an order in for the standard size, wondering if it’ll be a squeeze. I’m 6’-0”. 230 lbs. (I did see the recommended size requirements - just a big purchase and I’ve been doubting my decision!)

    • @RENUTherapy
      @RENUTherapy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Scott, the tank in this video is a standard size Cold Stoic. Bill is 6'1" and I am 5'11" and about 265lbs and we both fit just fine in the Cold Stoic. You'll be just fine in the tank you ordered!!

    Do you know why cold water is good for you because it helps with testosterone balancing and if you have to much testosterone it can make a man unruly.

    • @RENUTherapy

      It's pretty roomy. I'm 5'11" and slightly more than pretty chubby, lol, and I fit just fine. Our smallest unit is designed for use by someone up to about 6'5", so in terms of height you would be fine with any of our units.

    Growing up in a third world country cold bath or shower is common place. Only in America where you have comfortable amenities would you seek out a way to be uncomfortable.
