Sick wheels. The tires are way too small. Should of gone a little wider and much taller.
I love 28” tall tires, you may go for a 28” tall tire when you start spinning off the line more. I had a turbo small block ford in a very very lightweight fox mustang and the 26” tall tire did accelerate a bit quicker but was a bear to hook with coming off the trans brake with some rpm & boost. I like a 275/60 15 on a 15x10 wheel.

you would think that for how much the welds cost they would make sure they are good before they ship them out.
Hey Riley. I used to have a C6 and I couldn’t get the creak out until I taped the roof pins with a friction black tape from Home Depot, basically looks like electrical tape but with fuzz on it. Seriously I tried o rings everything. That did it for me

You can never have too much top end my man
The cam you bought WOULD NOT work well for boosted applications. It's LSA is way too tight, you CAN run it with boost, but you'll be missing a lot of potential power due to the aggressive lobe separation. It'll bleed boost down low, hence loss of potential power.
RandomRandy I imagine he's working with tsp so they'll probably give him a new cam when he goes boosted and they probably didn't want to give him a boost cam while he's na because the power results na might be disappointing

Your shifting has improved dramatically. Experience is the best teacher. Cam, springs, retainers and pushrods are NOT bolt on performance parts. I hope your installing new lifters. Used lifters on a new cam is NOT a good idea.

You should invest in some LS7 lifters. Your stock ones will get louder and the ticking will annoy you eventually lol
"If i did a centrifugal blower, this cam would work well with that" No, that cam LSA has to much overlap therefore causing you miss out on a lot of your power. While you can run it, you will not be using the boost efficiently. But for an NA application the cam looks very nice. :)

That trunion kit is a very important upgrade..gets rid of the needle bearings on the rockers..cause under high performance apps. The ive seen those rockers break apart with those needles all in the head and fall into the oil passages
Backyard Chevy I’ve heard mixed reports about those trunion kits from some very reputable ls builders here local to me in N.C.

Beware trrunion upgrade kits, .There have been several cases of trunion failures after doing an upgrade kit(it could either be install error or kit defect, but they weren’t CHE kits that I saw). Just spend a bit more and get CHE precision rockers. They are tested to 10000rpm. I’ve been a longtime corvette forum member as well as ls1tech, don’t recall ever hearing of Che failures. I had them on my heads cam c6. They are 400ish with exchange, 650ish outright if you dont do the CHE upgrade kit.
You plan to get rid of the chrome look with the welds now? What about blacking out the exhaust tips also?

The trunion upgrade is vital on the LS3... the stockers are notorious for losing the bearings and destroying things.
The cam you bought is all wrong for a boosted engine (as others have mentioned). Are you planning to swap it again, or just live with it?

Need a bias ply for drag racing, radials break parts. I’ve been thru 3 diffs and countless half shafts.

Your leaving power o the table. Always do heads with a cam it’s free labor and more power and if you add a ported msd you will love how it all works together. And will probably be all you wouldn’t want power wise n/a
MSD dosen't make a manifold for the LS3's. FAST makes one but it's $1,000 and isn't much better than stock.
To install new heads is at least $600 labor + $800 for the heads.
When I upgrade the camshaft on anything I always like to do heads and intake as well. A friend has a cam/heads/intake vette on a little spray and it moves, but what do I know I only got my 72mm turbo small block 302 to run 10.50’s 1/4 et on stock cast iron heads, a stock camshaft, and stock intake, all thru a C4 auto with reverse manual valve body, PTC Converter, transbrake, bilet internals, and upgraded clutches and what not. I had a 3.55 ring & pinion in the rear and I was faster with a 28” tall tire versus a 26” tall tire. With the bigger (taller) tire I could leave with more rpm, boost, and more power.
Trevon Adams yep power under the curve is more important that peak numbers plus heads , cam, ported intake , ported throttle body , headers , 3 inch exhaust all piggy back off each other and you will pick up extra hp and power that was left on the table when used together.
RP Productions my Advanced Induction 243 heads were 1600. Trick flow, afr etc 2k +.

When you were showing the welds versus the stock wheels, the welds tires looked a little over inflated. Maybe why it got a little loose on you?

KOSx15 billy boat has the best sounding exhaust for the corvette get the bullet.
Naw stock npp with headers is the best sounding.
I’m in a corvette club and around then all day. We have guys in the club and other club with akrapovic, Borla , corsa , stick , amatrix and manga flow. Trust me the bullet with American racing headers 2 inch on my fiends c7 z sounds the best it has a more aggressive and define tone from down low it sounds muscle and up high it sounds exotic. And screams . The corsa is loud but sounds unrefined and to raspy and the stock npp sounds close. The akrapovic has the most exotic sound and the amatrix has the loudest volume of sound.
Comparing a C6 to a C7 isn’t the same. They have different tones. On a C6 the stock exhaust setup with headers and a cam sounds great. You can listen on my channel and the blower adds a little extra.
Get a corsa exhaust system and the lsx intake manifold

I wish! Sadly for this car it's quite expensive to switch over. Needs a new fuel system and would have to drop the tank. If it was simple like the 6th gen Camaro I'd totally switch over to kern.

i think that was hqen2000's wife.....he has a procharges charger scat pack and she just got a scat pack challenger. looks like its the car if it was silver with the black hood. They are in houston as well.
