Riley, as a previous owner of a Base C6 LS3 for over 5 years, I can attest that an A&A Corvette s/c kit will add some great power to your Grand Sport. I also had accompanying mods in Kooks headers, B&B Exhaust, Vengeance Racing cam, Yank 3200 stall converter, Dewitts Radiator with Oil/Trans Cooler, appropriate internals (Springs/lifters etc). I made 650+ to the rear and daily drove the car for 4.5 years. Adding boost to an LS3 is one of the best "Bang For Your Buck" mods you can do. Steep entry fee, but well worth the after-effects!
ls motors are so mod friendly its crazy and they love the boost.

I think you just convinced me not to trade my Saleen for a Scat pack 392. Hearing you talk about the focus for the corvette and hearing you in the past about the reason(s) for trading cars, makes me realize I have the same problem. I’m never going to be satisfied with a car. Just like modding cars, there’s always something else to do to it.

Wow, would have expected more. My bone stock 12 Charger SRT8 I was running 12.8 @108. Tires were also its achilles heal, with a 2.0 60' it was either bog or spin off the line nothing in between
Keep at it man! My Camaro is A6 tune headers and a intake and I run a 12.48 at 112 MPH With a 1.9 60FT try and get that 60 foot down and I’m pretty dam sure you will will be high 11s with that car! It has a lot of potential in it!! Also recommend to start with some suspension parts eliminate that wheel hop and get the car to launch straight and it will save you from buying parts that will eventually break from wheel-hop! Good luck man!! I’m super excited for the build!!

A C6 can be made into such a dream in no time at all. All it takes of course is money, and parts.
Have you tried putting it in comp mode by pressing and holding the traction control button for 5-10 seconds?

My tbss ran a 12.4 @ 113mph on a 100 shot so I plan on bumping the shot up, getting a stall and I hope to break 11s. Should be a good run for the vette 😎
My stock 2006 A6 car did 12.8 @ 112 mph in Phoenix. Then i did headers, a FAST 102, small cam and 3000 stall and immediately moved to northern AZ and did 12.7 @ 111 mph at 9,500 DA lol. So i still had a stock Vette after doing all that basically, due to the elevation. But i guess if it was actually stock it would be high 13 - low 14 second car at like 103 mph lol.
I'm a mustang guy Ford guy in general but I'm an Enthusiast as well and I have to say your Grand Sport is gorgeous and that's one of the most beautiful colors ever. I live here in Houston technically right behind the fountains off 59 South it'd be awesome to see you over at the local car show at Otto's BBQ in the fountains

I'm not really looking to race the car , I like the look of the Challenger Hellcat widebody . It's roomy and has some killer hp . Mustang is nice to but I'm liking what Dodge is putting out . I've always have been a chevy guy . I have a 2008 Corvette Z06 which is a great car . My daily driver is a 2016 Ram 1500 Sport best truck I've owed . Looking to add a Hellcat to the stable

I thought he would run faster. I ran 12.6 in my Challenger Scat Pack, (all motor) and my car is a LOT heavier. Maybe because I have an auto? That Vette should be faster, once he gets dr’s I bet he does a lot better

You are right, I sucked my first few races, even with an auto. He does have a lot of potential to go faster, faster than his Hellcat. - I’m a Dodge fan, but grounded in reality. Lol and respect any car that faster than stock.
I feel your launch pain... My daily is a '99 Vette with a heads/cam/blower LS3 in it. Last week (my second trip to the track) at a DA of 7500, I ran a consistent 12.6 ET, but with a trap speed of 122-123. Obviously, traction is a problem. Equally obviously, if I went down hill to someplace with a reasonable DA, it would be even worse. I'm running the car in exactly the same configuration I use for road trips. Nitto 555s, and no, they're not the R. If you've got any suggestions for launching, I'd love to hear them. One friend suggested sand bags in the rear.
The Grand Sport with the manual transmission has launch control, which allows you to have a more controlled optimal launch. Look in your owners manual for specifics on its operation.
Full bolt ons will take you to the 11s for sure , heads and cam add to that with new clutch and drag setup with some suspension mods you will be the 10s just practice your launch and you will achive your goal good luck

My bone stock 2018 Grand Sport on Hoosiers ran a 1.8 60ft 12.12 at 114. Ran a 1.74 60ft 12.09 at 115 later but the camera had died. The da that night was about 1800 foot

King of The Castle i think its his daily driver. I cant quantify a few cars as daily drivers but honestly my commute is about 10 mins so i would daily a viper, vette ect but its all personal preference.
A 12.90 on street tires is faster the best muscle car from 1970. My 70 W-30 Olds ran 13.0's (at 3745 lbs., with driver) with slicks. Without slicks most cars from the 60's and 70's ran maybe, 13.50's. Consistent for street tires. Nice job.

Karl Hopkins never new that glad i didn’t trade in my 2017 ss got a C6 i plan to super charge headers and fuel kit but was also advised it still wouldn’t hit 600hp due to the fuel injectors

Well now you have your baseline! Manual is badass. CleetusMcfarland runs a manual in leroy. Just get set up to where you never lift while shifting. Besides any idiot with a little control can run an auto on a drag strip.

For me in my Camaro I usually put the car in second, rev up to about 5k, dump the clutch and hop on the brakes, you have to press the brakes hard enough to stop the front wheels from rolling but not to hard that it stops the back wheels from spinning, just takes practice👌

I'm on street tires right now till I get new half shafts, but for radials it's the same process and goal they just get stickier, the water box helps with that though

You need drag radials dude Hoosiers. Should put the car right at 12.3 - 12.4 street tires are dangerous because of the wheel hop.
Looks like you need a driver mod and probably put the stock wheels back on since there are forged and not cast so you will weigh less

Scat pack isn’t a manual though and if a scat pack was manual it probably be even slower then a ls3 vette.
Watch Ranger. He knows how to launch a Corvette. Type in "Ranger Corvette" and you will find him here on TH-cam. He's run those times in a stock C5.

The Hellcat was a great car, no need to name call. This GS will go faster in the future, with the right mods. Starting out at 3500 pounds helps a lot too.
