    1st, Awesome vid! Please keep them coming. I looked for a 6" 10mm 1911 for many months and did a ton of research. I'd have loved an R1 hunter, Para Ordnance 1911 Elite Hunter Long Slide, or Dan Wesson Kodiak. Truth be told though, Id rather not buy a used 1911 off gun broker or anywhere else without carefully inspecting it. There were other nib offerings from various manufactures, and ultimately I thought I settled on and Iver Johnson eagle xl. Then I came across the Girsan and I couldn't pass it up at that price point. 500 plus rounds of assorted 10mm (underwood hard cast 220g, ppu fmj 170g, and Barnes 155g) and some even hot 40 s&w (I know you shouldn't) and I was thoroughly impressed. All that said, there was always that nagging sensation in the back of my mind and I whished someone had excellent content like this comparing some of these hand guns. Looking forward to more bud

      Thank you so much. That is much appreciated. I spend a lot of time doing this stuff with my own money. I do enjoy doing it but often question whether I should keep going or not. Comments like this make it worth it. I try to keep the simple guy approach because that is who I am. I figure let someone else do the super extensive vids. In my experience people are afraid of brands they never heard of. I remember when no one would buy a Canik and now look at them. Girsan and SAR will take off soon just like the others. Because of your feedback I will try and do more comparisons to expensive and not so expensive guns if I can. Thanks again for the feedback and for the support.

    I agree with the girsan sights being awful. I would’ve paid more for a factory fiber optic or an optic slide cut. The value is just so good it was hard to pass up. I added a full length guide rod and some Lok grips. So far so good.

    Do you happen to know anything about Tisas D10? It’s between the Girsan Hunter and the Tisas D10 for me and I can’t decide. I’m wondering if the Girsan is all forged no cast? That’s a big deciding factor as the Tisas is and it has checkering on the grips. The Girsan 6” barrel is what makes me consider it as well.

    I have alot of experience with the less expensive 1911 options out there like rock island, ati, tisas, and girsans. I have found the girsans to be better than the others, better fit and finish, the best triggers etc. Also fitting aftermarket 1911 parts i have noticed the girsans tolerances are approaching the more expensive models, i dropped a rock river arms match barrel in a girsan mc1911 and had so little fit issues it was almost as if made specifically for it, not so fitting the same barrel in the ati or rock island.

      @andreawhalen4142 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lachauncetownsend3512 Those i haven't fiddled with primarily because their prices always seem to be to close to the nicer 1911's so it didn't make as much sense to me, i hear mixed reviews of them but you do see alot of aftermarket support for para. My quess, is they are a good platform but when you can pay as little as 400 dollars (at times) for a girsan mc1911 and get what your getting, not much else would make sense to the working man anyway other than a great deal ya can't pass up kinda situation. The quality of these turkish 1911's is baffling and i'm not kidding. I have one that you couldn't tell the difference between it and a trp operator without inspection of the lettering stamped into it, and shooting? Uh as much as i hate to say it actually, this slightly modded girsan puts many others to shame at the range, i mean i haven't fired a kimber that will out shoot this pistol thoughout their entire line, and my sa certainly doesn't shoot any better at this point. This could litterally be because of this rock river arms match barrel that fit like it was made for the girsan and maybe a testament of rra's barrels but i have switched back to the stock barrel twice with no change of point of impact at closer ranges, i swapped back because i know the rra barrel is a plus p piece and i don't know that about the stock barrel and it's chamber support.

    I was set on getting an R1 Hunter, but Remarms isn't producing them. I know they had some issues with the OEM mags, but I still wanted one. It's hard to argue with a Girsan when it gives you what, 90% of what an R1 does, but at half the price? AND it's readily available from a solvent company? As much as I insist on buying American whenever I can, I can't buy something that doesn't exist. I think I'll be going for the Girsan. Thanks for the side by side comparison. Much appreciated.

    P.s. whomever built that shooting ring doesn't have the slightest clue what they were doing. Why? you say??? They put all the posts down in the cement. Those posts will rot from the inside out. cement and wood do not mix when combined. Sitting on concrete fine. But in it=ROT. As one starts to collapse very soon like dominos so will the rest. We did an entire sub-division where they built the back decks exactly the same way . We made a lot of money there. Turns out the guy was unlicensed and uninsured. And you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip my dad used to say. The guy didn't have a pot to piss in, or a window to throw it out of. Kind of like buying a bargain gun. Peace.
