- We take a look at my current 10mm collection and decide what would be the last one that I would sell. Smith and Wesson 1006 and 1066, Remington R1 Hunter, Glock 29 and the Girsan MC1911 S10.

I agree, I had a chance to buy one at a gun show a year ago, but they were asking $1800 and only had one magazine with it. I went for the next best thing- an Sig Sauer P220 legion all steel full size.
Have a Girsan exactly like that, and a ViceGripGarage hat just like that too. Good taste man
I'm more of a Ruger fan, which is why I'm collecting the P89-91 series. I'm getting tired of the plastic guns with trigger safety. Give me an all metal, hammer fired, no trigger safety gun. Decocker is fine since I carried a P89 DC for 9 years of armed security.
The S&W 1006 is a rare collector. Long discontinued. Good choice! Most of the nice all-steel 10mm pistols like Colt Delta Elite have gotten way too expensive. I have just the Glock 20 Gen 3.

The worst gun decision I made was selling my 1066. I sold it in 2000 to a family friend for $450 and let him make payments. Now he is anti-2A. Still looking for another one.

In my country, all calibers wider than 9mm except for .40 S&W, .44 Special, .45 ACP and .45 Colt are outlawed, so we cannot have 10mm. It is a real shame to me. My local store had a 1006 back some 13-14 years ago, which they couldn't sell. This was right around the time those four calibers were legalized, in order to give IPSC-shooters the ability to get something that would make Major powerfactor. We didn't know which calibers would be legalized - I hoped 10mm would be among them, and I had my eye on that 1006, so I bought a magazine for it at a gun show. Still have it, hoping one day I'll get to own a 3rd gen 10mm. I dream of the 1076, but we cannot have handguns shorter than 21cm total length, so that's even less likely to happen.
BTW, there are actually six models in the 10xx line.
1006 and 1066 that you have.
1026 and 1076: frame mounted decocker, full size and compact.
1046 and 1086: DAO, full size and compact... but that 1046 is a rare bird, only 151 made according to wikipedia.

They are great. Check GunBroker.com they always have them and occasionally u will find one for decent price. U just have to keep checking and bidding until u get lucky

The only one I have from this 5 is the Glock 29.
I have a S&W 1006, it's 1 of 650 made for the CHP with a special serial number (CHP001 through CHP650). Also have Gen 3 and Gen 4 model 20 Glocks, with additional 40S&W barrels for extra versatility, and a beautiful S&W 610 revolver with an unfluted cylinder that uses full moon clips for 10mm and 40S&W. I will not part with any of them. On a side note, and you may have already talked about this in other videos (I just found your channel), but many people do not know that the 10mm came out before the 40S&W. The 40S&W (or 40 short and weak as I like to call it) was brought out because limp wristed and/or small statured people complained about the 10mm recoil. Okay, now I need to watch your other videos. Peace out GL75! Wait, is that for Glock Lover? Just kidding lol...

Great vid sir. I would like to see Smith & Wesson bring those back, or see Ruger release an updated p90 in 10mm. What's your weigh in on swapping the barrels for the Glocks (due to: polygonal rifling, the chamber not being fully supported, chamber tolerances, ect) to accommodate hotter/lead 10mm ammunition?

@@gunlocker7562 I love it so far. I put 100 rounds of crap 40 through it then 50 rounds of 10mm underwood and winchester defender its totally solid. Everyone at the range liked its unique twisting barrel. For some reason it was shooting 2 foot low. I removed the sights, stripped the slide and sent it to be nickel plated a couple days ago. Should be able to pick it up here soon. I nickel plated the barrel inside and out so I'll see what it shoots like when it comes home. I left the frame completely untouched. Side note the slide disassembly is quick and easy . Field stripping can be difficult to reasemble
