    I think you are helping me to get back to practicing yoga regularly. For some reason I’ve built resentment to it and was thinking of my practice as of a workout. With you I am feeling so good, just moving my body and breathing. Thank you!

      @graceryderdrawings ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed ❤ it’s helping me move more and get back in tune with my body no pressure 😊

    This is great, I have chronic tightness caused by OCD and this helps me relax my lower body enough that it globally reduced pain and stiffness. I’ve been following this routine (I know I should branch out 😂) almost every day for the past couple of weeks and feel so much better

    Thank you Charlie! This was perfect for recovery for my recovery Monday! I paired this with the back and hips flow as I was feeling good and stretched out after this class. The Back and hips flow allowed me to stretch and strengthen these tight areas as well. I'm always on the lookout for runner specific flow classes especially after a long run weekend and bike ride! Grateful for these super helpful sequences! 😊 it's also so good to see you running too. I think running and yoga complement each other so well! I know it has for me. Yoga kept me flexible and worked on my mobility and strength when I trained and finished my first marathon during the pandemic lockdown. It was also my time in the mat that allowed me to stay present and not spiral into doubt and fear during the rigorous training. Just sharing 😅 I love the lake and the way you were moving with breath, energy and strength amidst all that stillness and calm. ❤🙏🧘‍♀️

      Hey Agnes I'm so glad you enjoyed this class ☺️ I couldn't;t agree more, I really love the combination of yoga and running. Yoga helps me stay positive when I run and help me bring myself back to a place of calm when I start to get out of breath or feel like I need to stop. Without it I probably wouldn't be able to run consistently as I a doing now.

    This was a class I had my eye on for a while and I had the opportunity to complete it today. I liked the comment about slowing down to experience the pose. The beginning sequence was somewhat atypical in that it built heat immediately but the rest of the class was mellow and calm.

    Such a beautiful sequence! Question that I'd love help with: how do you not get so repetitive in your practices? I feel a little stuck in my practice so I love following your videos

    • @CharlieFollows
      @CharlieFollows  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hey thank you so much for joining me and for your question. I use a simple method where in each pose I try to explore the planes of movement available in that pose. So I’ll see if I can fold forward or bend back, if I can side bend or twist. Then I’ll combine that with moving one of the other limbs. For example if I start in high lunge, I could experiment with a twist and then I could straighten my front leg and then fold forward to take me somewhere completely new. This is usually how I explore my practice so that it never gets repetitive and it’s a continuous exploration.
