    In this video, I’m going to walk you through the five top foods to avoid that are highest in estrogen. High estrogen foods can be really harmful to your health by destroying your hormone balance. A lot of these foods with too much estrogen today can lead to health issues like hypothyroidism, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, and ovarian cancer. So, eliminate the following foods from your diet, and add more fruits and vegetables to naturally decrease estrogen in your body.
    Foods to avoid:
    1.) Soy
    2.) Sugar
    3.) Conventional meat
    4.) Conventional dairy
    5.) BPA plastic and Teflon Pans
    If you want to start detoxing your body of estrogen, consume more cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, kale, collard greens, and brussels sprouts. Milk thistle and dandelion supplements are great to support your body in the detox from estrogen, as well.

    Soy has phytoestrogen. Not animal estrogen. Highest intake of estrogen comes from dairy and meat. that is #1.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      Because, you comment obnoxiously to someone who is a follower of an animal rights movement that you are eating a steak, which is a flesh of an innocent animal, is rude and chilldish.
      It’s like waving a dead 24 month old fetus in front of a pro-lifer.
      You don’t have to be an American to get disease from animal foods.
      What’s hateful is supporting mass destruction of a plant, species extinction, animal slaughter, massive pollution and deforestation. That’s hateful. Me being blunt is nothing

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      +Jimmy Stone you're forgetting one individual in this situation. The animals that die brutally stabbed in the neck in fear. you're eating a living being with thoughts, emotions desires and feelings.
      I don't wish bad on anyone. I wish everyone stopped being blood thirsty savages. but since they won't the inevitability of that blood thirst is diet related illness.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Because I assumed you were trying to instigate me with the steak comment, so I got angry.
      Vegans are full of frustrations. My whole family is overweight and has heart disease because they eat like shit as the result of their addiction to animal flesh. I’ve seen animals cry as they are getting killed. So to see others support it is frustrating.
      Don’t listen to this doctor, they let any person be a doctor these days.
      Dairy is the most dangerous food. If/when you have a family, don’t feed it to them.
      Check out nutritio facts .org by Dr. Gregor, listen to doctors who site studies for everyone of their claims.

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Currently 1/3+ world is covered by livestock, major cause of deforestation and pollution . Growing animals for food is unsustainable. You’re right, poor people are starving to death, while cows are being fed 24lbs of food a day so people in rich countries can eat them.
      While I don’t like GMOs, there is no solid proof that Gmos are dangerous. There is plenty of proof that meat, dairy and eggs are dangerous.
      It doesn’t matter how the message is delivered, the message becomes aggressive because people aren’t listening. But the truth is still the truth.
      So killing animals is okay because people are getting killed? That makes no sense. So should you rape people because rape is going to be happening anyways?

    • @AngelinaAlexMusic
      @AngelinaAlexMusic 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The difference is, I’m not supporting the war in Syria. I’m not out there bombing children and shooting people in the face.
      Meat eaters are directly killing animals by paying for their slaughter. Thats the difference.

    Flax Seed Oil is high in oestrogen (not the ground seed but just the oil). I can attest first hand that large doses should be avoided by men, especially if you are already low T.
    Foods to avoid:

    2.) Sugar

    Great info. I'm a estrogen dominant post menopausal woman. I am also a pharmacologist and have worked with a farmer who switched his flock to a soy-free diet. I really identify with those CornishX (white) chickens. Both were free range and organic. With soy, they grew to 8 lb dressed in just 8 weeks. With a insect/fish based protein, they were barely 3 lb. He added some flax and they grew larger. I noticed adding flax to my smoothie caused me to gain 2 lb in a week. I was hungry, fat and tired - just like those soy fed chickens. I looked up flax and estrogen and it's loaded. Also, pumpkin seeds.

    I have fibroids and a polyp from estrogen. Medical doctors want to operate but I don’t want surgery. I stopped my HRT apart from 1 pump dose a day. Tomorrow I m going zero. The thought of being at risk of cancer is so terrifying as my sister had it and the surgery and follow up therapies to stop the problems she then got is no short of barbaric. This video is So useful. I have to de-tox with sulphur in my homeopathic treatment, buy a steel reverse osmosis water filter and do TCM acupuncture and exercise. I’m in it. Then the yoga breathing and the belief I can heal myself.

I too have been doing yoga and breathing exercises, also try Qigong and 'I am healed affirmations' including healing frequencies, together we can do this . I also now make lots of broccoli and savoy cabbage daily and mash them with butter and its delicious . I also put my water next to healing frequency which purifies it . Regular exercise can reduce excessive estrogen levels in a variety of ways. Physical activity help detoxify too much estrogen and eliminates it through your perspiration. It can also increase your sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG), which is important as SHBG binds to estrogens and deactivates them.

    Great info. Dr Axe I would recommend also including Maca root since its constituents such as macaines have a nourishing effect on the glands and assists in regulating hormones. In part also I believe due to it's high sulfur content as being part of the cruciferous family its rich in glucosinolates that gets converted via enzymatic reaction into isothiocyanates a sulfur rich compound. Sulfur is essential for hormone balance as hormone transporters such as SHBG have an affinity to bind and transport sulfur bound hormones, get the organic kind low in heavy metals since this is an issue and heavy metals will disrupt glandular function. I recommend Navitas since they buy from Natural Peru company in Peru the only company I know that tests for heavy metals.

I haven't ate meat from animals in over 20 yrs and I totally stay away from milk mostly because I'm lactose intolerant. However, I sometimes cook on Teflon and refill water bottles and buy soy nuts, soy milk and consume veggie burgers that I'm betting now might contain soy products. I have considered having surgery in order to obtain that flat muscular chest that I 've so badly craved my whole life. Hi Dr. Axe! Recently I was diagnosed with PCOS. I've been watching your videos and everything is really making sense! I'm starting to drink smoothies with the bone broth you suggested, taking the apple cider vinegar, just purchased Vitex, taking your probiotic, and taking out sugar/processed foods. What i'm curious about is when should I do these throughout the day? Should I do them everyday? I'm nervous that If i'm going to take a probiotic and the drink apple cider vinegar a little while after it will have a negative effect! It's all a bit overwhelming.
