    • @happycook6737
      @happycook6737 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      You are right. For a few years people thought no soy. Now we know whole foods soy products like soy milk, tofu, tempeh, edamame are protective. Processed soy like Boca, soy cheese, etc are not helpful. Freshly ground flaxseed is helpful. Eating flax seeds or flax oil isn't as helpful.

  • @shirleyavarell2674
    @shirleyavarell2674 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Sooo confusing. One study says eat this not that and another study will contradict the former study. I have been reading these various studies and what I have discovered is that most all foods eaten in their natural state are processed easily by the body with no side effects, unless you have an allergy to a particular food. Orange juice is high in fructose but if you eat an orange with the pulp etc your body is well able to assimilate that including the natural occurring sugar in the orange. The natural occurring sugar in whole fruit is not toxic to the body like processed cane sugar. I have come to the conclusion that anything man touches by adding to or taking away and processing for longer shelf life etc is not very good for us. I do not hesitate now to eat fruits and vegetables in their natural state and everything in moderation. Frozen fruits, berries and vegetables are my alternative go to. No canned goods, WAY TOO MUCH ADDED SUGAR AND SODIUM and no juices, unless I make it myself. The body is a remarkable machine. It fights to stay alive and heal itself all on its own and puts up a remarkable fight if it is fed well. I try not to be a fanatic but I am when on my own. I do indulge if I go to someone else’s house for dinner or on vacation and unable to get the exact foods I want but because for 80 to 90% of the time I do eat right my REMARKABLE body will be able to handle that indiscretion with ease. It is when 80 to 90% of our diet is bad and only 10% of our food is healthy that we overwhelm our systems. We are predisposed to certain frailties, allergies and diseases due to genetics etc, which will require medication or can be helped with added herbs etc. so we are constantly twiking our diets to help out. Eat healthy and enjoy your life! You can do both. I have 70 years of living under my belt and this has worked for me.❤

Its allto complex and hyped up. I decided i wouldn’t take the pills as their benefit was shown to be very small to me personally and i didn’t want to feel lousy in my 70s, i exercise, run, keep weight within bmi and hope for the best, but most of all after the treatment just forget it and live.

The doctor recommended to reduce drinking, I "sort of" paid attention .. last Summer I had two glasses of wine and two trips to the ER .. that was more than $2000 .. I've totally stopped now, that was enough for me! I had an ablation in October, and no afib since! Now, I just had a lumpectomy ER/PR positive invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 1 .. glad I don't drink anymore and really need to learn to love green tea .. a bit of a dilema .. She is spot on with all the methodological problems with the alcohol studies. Populations in the studies were also not stratified; e.g., people who drink moderately tend to have higher incomes, access to healthier foods, better medical care all of which are correlated with better health. The resveretol (spelling) in red wine is in very small amounts, not to mention most people drink more than one glass of wine.

    Thanks to the greed of dentists, I lost all of my teeth 12 years ago to infection they wouldn't treat even thought I had insurance. My gums were so deteriorated that dentures don't fit, and since I teach I couldn't afford bone implants. I am now on a liquid diet. But hey, dentistry is "cosmetic" according to the insurance corporations that run medicine. If I want to address my triple positive by addressing hormones, I get to take meds for 10 years that cause some people so much joint pain they can't get out of bed. I can't afford to not work, so that is out of the question. I might not live another 5 years. But at least dentists in Charlottesville, VA, have LOTS of money, right?

      want something simple? from my cancer experience ( treating) cut off prossesed foods proteins all of them and anabolic foods all of them even nuts
      mushrooms and alot of fruits vegetables are good like strawberries berries red grapes or black ( all organic) and vegetable juices turmeric fresh root smoothies what those will give you is not only anti agiogenic effect bit most importantly CLEARN THE LYMPATIC SYSTEM
      stop also all dairy and sugars .. for easy cure of most cancers even super fast like small cell i would give sweet wormwood 2 grams for 1 week or 3 g and artemisinin 500 mg
      and 150 mg iron (in 3 doses of 50 mg ) so use for 1 week stop for 2 weeks then more 1 week use then stop for 2 weeks this destroy cancer cells like trojan and very fast
      you can see from sweet wormwood products on the reviews also as powerful high dose SOVERAIN colloidal SIlver Hydrorosol (16000 reviews) safe its not colloidal its hydrorosol and very powerful vs cancer

    It sounds very educational and I’m sure with the correct application that an individual would feel truly amazing. And whilst it seems like lickety-split you quickly make a smoothie. We have to be real and understand that in our fast paced life we have to get up and devote time in the morning, to actually making this drink. We all say yeah yeah yeah that’s great and then never do it. And then later down the line, we wonder why our bodies are not working for us. However my only challenge with all these amazing things is my own personal time management when you are overworked and run at the pace of a hamster on a wheel. I think it is all amazing, but we all must get wise and take time for ourselves to assess our health so that we can enjoy the rest of our life. My self included. Always grateful for information that is passed over on the Internet. I guess it’s up to the individual to discern what works for them and we all hope for the best.

    Many of these foods are high in oxalates and recent research is showing evidence of high oxalates in the breast tissue of breast cancer patients. I just had a lumpectomy with reconstruction to remove a tumor that is ER and PR+ HER2-, At the time of diagnosis I was undergoing toxic mold detoxification with a low oxalate diet--- (mold fungus and yeast is being found in higher concentrations in breast tissue/tumors of breast cancer)...have you researched this and factored it into your diet recommendations? I'm working with a nutritionist with specific training and knowledge in this area as I resume the mold detox protocol. I'd rather do diet than take the aromatase inhibitors -- the risks associated with those is worse than the rate of recurrence of the cancer. I do agree, though, that diet is very important!

    Flax was a receptor of my late sister’s type of estrogen based cancer. I think lists like those in this video can be dangerous as there is no one size fits all. Standard of care and nutrition doesn’t work for everyone. Listen to your own doctor and learn about your own type of cancer before eating everything on these lists.

    I’ve been watching a lot of these presentations from Dr Funk and Dr Barnard and really appreciate them. But… two months ago I was diagnosed with HER2 positive, estrogen and progesterone negative, grade 3 DCIS. I’ve had surgery and now need to focus on reducing likelihood of recurrence. So much of the diet advice given in these presentations is focused on estrogen driven cancer. But what does that mean for those of us whose cancer is not hormone driven? Is the advice a little different for HER2? For example, one website says soy is preventative in general but fuels HER2 cancer. Arrrgh. I’d love a presentation that comments on HER2 positive prevention. I already eat WFPB.

Keto is often heavy on animal protein, very low on veggies, which may not be ideal for someone who’s had BC. I believe that the Blue Zones is something to look into, as they are the healthiest and long living people in the world, and then make some adjustments based on your preferences and cultural traditions. It’s just an idea.
