@@imcrazy534 think of something like a scarf being hung from the wide bar at the bottom of the hanger, vs a sweater that is being hung like a regular shirt, being pulled from the shoulders and having the collar, which has more tension on it since it is the end of the garment and meant to look good and laid flat on your skin when worn, be all stretched. the scarf has even tension in the yarn throughout so being folded on a horizontal bar has no issue while cardigans and sweaters, depending on how they are constructed, will warp and look weird when worn because of the tension thing.

So many of these issues, too, seem to be brought about by people not understanding how very limited ships are in terms of logistics. There is zero extra room aboard, so yeah, rooms are going to be in inconvenient places and muzak from different areas is going to overlap. There isn't a power grid so the lighting is not what you'd get in your house. They can only resupply when they hit port, so if you didn't request something ahead of time (like water bottles), it's possible that the ship runs out of it and there isn't anything you can do until the next port. There definitely were some genuine logistical mistakes on display here, but most of it is just the realities of being at sea.
The Mark guy doesn't sound annoyed that the other 'influencers' were bought by the cruise company. He sounds annoyed that he wasn't given the same deal. That is, if they're even being bought, which is dubious.
If Royal Caribbean are giving a free ride, all expenses paid, that ride itself is getting bought. Get the bag, whatever. Casual normal cruise experience there - but don't film anything by stern fantail railings. I mean, it's dark at night and there's only a pair of railings to prevent accidents from happening. Dropping your drink off the back, or your book, or as an influencer (I'd be paranoid about} your camera. "Oops!" - off the back and you'll never get your things back.

Cruises are actually really fun. There's heaps of activities on the cruise both all ages and adult only and you disembark most days to various countries and islands. Went on a carnival cruise for schoolies (Aussies go on holiday after graduating year 12) and there was no shortage of things to do on the ship

For sea sickness it's best to be as close to the centre (left/right centre, not front/back centre) of the ship as you can be, and as close to the bottom of the ship as you can be, 'cause you experience less rocking there. I know this from the one cruise I went on with my family (I was bullied into it even though I super couldn't afford it, but it was for my mum's birthday, so I was told I'd be an asshole if I didn't go along with it without complaints...) and I was just sooo seasick the whole time. I did bring enough sea sick medicine with me for the whole trip, 'cause I knew that buying it aboard would be super expensive. And I looked up the tip about where to be on the boat, and would go hang in that sort of location sometimes to feel a bit better, and would sleep on the floor towards the door of my room (closer to the centre) to try to avoid being too sick overnight. I don't know who this comment is for.

As much as some influencers are being dramatic or just dont have experience wkth cruises, even people who have been on tons of cruises have talked sooooo much ish about this one 😬 ship is small and gets tossed in the waves, decks have flooded more than once, most ports were cancelled so instead of visiting all these lovely places theyve just been stuck on the boat. No wonder people are getting cabin fever and starting drama lol
I've been following a bunch of TH-camrs on the cruise and this isn't accurate at all. They've had a few ports canceled but nowhere near most and they went through the Drake Passage early on and that's a very rough part of the sea so that's when a door blew open and got some carpet wet. There have been no "floods" since then.
the one cruise ive been on was pretty mid. you have to be a particular kind of person to enjoy it, and if you arent...stay home lol. its like going to a casino and being mad and bored of all the gambling.
About the tender tickets, When I was on a cruise, you needed a tender ticket to get off the boat. The cruise itself couldn't dock at the destination (In our case, Mexico.) so you needed to have a ticket for one of the small tender boats in order to get to the shore.
I kind of wish Pinely was a part time college professor, because I imagine regardless of the subject, his lectures would look like this, with drawings on the whiteboard, but the difference is that he'd tell you all this stuff would be on a quiz, so everyone would be drawing copies of his drawings in their notes for the test.
To be fair to his complaint about music being too loud everywhere. My 80 year old parents have been cruising regularly for over twenty years and had the exact same complaint about their most recent Royal Caribbean cruise. They tell me it’s not how things used to be on their ships and you can barely hear yourself think. I’m willing to accept that as a valid gripe when I hear the exact same thing from people who are very much the target demographic for the cruise. Admittedly, everything else he has to say is ju him being an arsehole. My parents have the highest status with RC and they get annoyed with people who haven’t earned the status taking advantage of their areas and making them less enjoyable.
He was complaining on Day 1. The biggest party day. He could complain if the music kept on for a week. It's very different from retirement cruises being taken over by teens blasting music, this was music from the public spaces.

Ive been on a few cruises. Mostly great but one was so stressful - food poisoning, constant pressure of upselling (extra products and services I didn't want even though I'd already paid a lot to be there) and staff pestering every 10 mins during meals. So stressful!
Really good approach to these issues would be: Hey, I’m sorry- could you guys provide me with some water bottles and plastic clothing hangers? These metal ones might damage my clothes- but I’m understanding, because you would have had no idea that I packet knit wear. Thank you so much for working a tireless job with no down time, for minimum wage, serving people like me, who can obviously afford luxuries. You are greatly appreciated, and your efforts are not unseen.

Cruise ships are mini cities so the fact people can have different experiences are common. People who create drama exist in daily life. What is weird is people who hate interacting with the “public” and complain about what they don’t like as if they didn’t realize they are on a ship.

Cruises are actually really fun. There's heaps of activities on the cruise both all ages and adult only and you disembark most days to various countries and islands. Went on a carnival cruise for schoolies (Aussies go on holiday after graduating year 12) and there was no shortage of things to do on the ship

Honestly Christian Hull's videos are hilarious he is just a chill guy and that umbrella was amazing. I think he used it once to greet tender boats that were coming back to the ship 😂
For sea sickness it's best to be as close to the centre (left/right centre, not front/back centre) of the ship as you can be, and as close to the bottom of the ship as you can be, 'cause you experience less rocking there. I know this from the one cruise I went on with my family (I was bullied into it even though I super couldn't afford it, but it was for my mum's birthday, so I was told I'd be an asshole if I didn't go along with it without complaints...) and I was just sooo seasick the whole time. I did bring enough sea sick medicine with me for the whole trip, 'cause I knew that buying it aboard would be super expensive. And I looked up the tip about where to be on the boat, and would go hang in that sort of location sometimes to feel a bit better, and would sleep on the floor towards the door of my room (closer to the centre) to try to avoid being too sick overnight.

As much as some influencers are being dramatic or just dont have experience wkth cruises, even people who have been on tons of cruises have talked sooooo much ish about this one 😬 ship is small and gets tossed in the waves, decks have flooded more than once, most ports were cancelled so instead of visiting all these lovely places theyve just been stuck on the boat. No wonder people are getting cabin fever and starting drama lol
I've been following a bunch of TH-camrs on the cruise and this isn't accurate at all. They've had a few ports canceled but nowhere near most and they went through the Drake Passage early on and that's a very rough part of the sea so that's when a door blew open and got some carpet wet. There have been no "floods" since then.
the one cruise ive been on was pretty mid. you have to be a particular kind of person to enjoy it, and if you arent...stay home lol. its like going to a casino and being mad and bored of all the gambling.
I went on a budget cruise. It was 95% trivia “shows”, gambling and sales pitches. Oh, and drinking. A lot of drinking.
About the tender tickets,
When I was on a cruise, you needed a tender ticket to get off the boat. The cruise itself couldn't dock at the destination (In our case, Mexico.) so you needed to have a ticket for one of the small tender boats in order to get to the shore.

To be fair to his complaint about music being too loud everywhere. My 80 year old parents have been cruising regularly for over twenty years and had the exact same complaint about their most recent Royal Caribbean cruise. They tell me it’s not how things used to be on their ships and you can barely hear yourself think. I’m willing to accept that as a valid gripe when I hear the exact same thing from people who are very much the target demographic for the cruise.
Admittedly, everything else he has to say is ju him being an arsehole. My parents have the highest status with RC and they get annoyed with people who haven’t earned the status taking advantage of their areas and making them less enjoyable.
He was complaining on Day 1. The biggest party day. He could complain if the music kept on for a week. It's very different from retirement cruises being taken over by teens blasting music, this was music from the public spaces.

Ive been on a few cruises. Mostly great but one was so stressful - food poisoning, constant pressure of upselling (extra products and services I didn't want even though I'd already paid a lot to be there) and staff pestering every 10 mins during meals. So stressful!
Really good approach to these issues would be:
Hey, I’m sorry- could you guys provide me with some water bottles and plastic clothing hangers? These metal ones might damage my clothes- but I’m understanding, because you would have had no idea that I packet knit wear.
