Every time I tell myself that if I don’t like something I’ll ask the hairdresser to change it, and every single time, when the moment comes, I can’t bring myself to do it. I’m usually not afraid of confrontation but there’s something about hair appts that make me incapable of standing up for myself.
@nola1439 this is so real. My mom has gotten irate at so many hair dressers (I have very curly hair with SERIOUS shrinkage) that have fucked up my hair that we are terrified of going to a salon for it bc it ALMOST ALWAYS ends up with inches being/needing to be cut afterwards.
Aw man, as a cosmetologist who works in product sales and education, i have a LOT of thoughts about this. -These videos arent a demonstration of free services, they're an ad. Taylor is essentially a MODEL, not a client. -WHY THE HELL are we flying people out for extensions? That's an extremely expensive and high maintenance service . It's irresponsible to set someone up for a commitment like that when they aren't in a position to go in for maintenance appointments. -Alfedo's response was so unprofessional. Clients change their minds, sometimes they don't feel comfortable expressing disappointment in the chair. -the salon and brands needed to do a much better job of managing expectations, instead of promising to give someone their dream hair when it might not be realistic due to the level of damage she had. - k18 is AMAZING. It's been a game changer for me as a stylist. But it is not magic. Sometimes the hair is too far gone, and that will severely limit your options with color.
completely agree! so many people realize they don't like their hair once they get home and adjust to it, I don't know why it's so shocking to him, ESPECIALLY considering her reference photos versus what she got😭
Yeah, half the point of going to the hairdresser is that it’s like going to therapy. If your therapist isn’t allowed to dish about you identifiably (never mind on social media), then any hairdresser who wants any sort of customer loyalty shouldn’t dish on their clients identifiably, either. Alfredo’s therapy license should get suspended by the state of California for violating HIPAA… except that he’s not a therapist, and the only thing that really matters with a hairdresser license is not physically injuring your clients, which he hasn’t done here.
when it was styled the highlights made sense but I feel like that's often the case with hairdressers, it's unrealistic to expect the hair to look exactly like it was styled
@@echoweili’ve had this happen SO OFTEN. when i would get my hair cut by someone else, it would always look good while it was styled, and then look like SHIT whenever it was normal. apparently my hairdresser expected me to do like a ten step routine to get my hair the way it was “meant to look”
But how did they- HAIRSTYLISTS not know that a woman who bleached their hair, chopped it off, and is doing what they can- DID NOT WANT long hair like wow. I'd be grateful but I would feel betrayed and id play along with it just because they gave me (sorry K18) the opportunity to have that experience.
when i get my hair done i go people pleasing empty brain mode and just cry about it later if i hate it. getting it for free just adds more pressure to pretend you like it in the chair
@dotcom3015 you're probably right, but I haven't been burned yet. The only exception was when my mom tried to give me blonde highlights at home after 5th grade "graduation." Everything that could have gone wrong did: we ran out of dye (and no she didn't get anyore), it turned orange instead of blonde, and it just so happened that the way she dyed it, all the orange formed one solid block of color when I put my hair in a ponytail. Ended up getting it fixed by a professional and it was okay, but that taught me a lesson about bleaching at home
one time i did exactly this and started crying about it at home, my mom grabbed me and took me to the hair salon again for him to fix it 😅 thank god for her
Putting extensions on hair that damaged will only lead to further breakage, any honest hair stylist would advise her to not add them. They are also very expensive to upkeep so if she didn't have the money to fix her hair, she couldn't realistically maintain them.
This is exactly why they didn't do anymore extensions. She's been told by other stylists not just Alfredo & his team of what to do & not to do. She refused to listen or wait and put her audience above professionals guidance.
@@xdani_thethinkingnekoi know a lot about hair, but not this lol but honestly it sounds like a legit answer, and it makes sense, and i know sometimes they go in with heat to like close the plastic around the hair but that’s not as common anymore. but i’m sure hairstyles like ponytails and such would definitelyyyyy pull
I think it's important to point out, not only did they keep comparing her to Kylie Jenner, but also styled her hair similar to a lot of photos of Kylie?
Yes, especially when in her videos she constantly talks about hating being compared to Kylie Jenner. They knew this and still did that to her hair, I'd cry too 😅
the makeup "artist" that did the makeup that aged her 20 years literally said the look was copied off of a kj pic. like, they weren't even trying to hide it
I'm so thrown off by Alfredo being 50 years old that I think I legit blanked out the rest of the video like huh?? Do K18 influencers do fountain of youth sacrifices???
@ashknight6696 I mean, it's not too surprising to see someone look young for their age. I know my mom often gets mistaken for being in her mid 20s despite being nearly in her 50s. He likely has a good skincare rountine.
Particularly someone from Minnesota. Hasn’t Alfredo seen “Fargo”? Doesn’t he know that people from the Upper Midwest are prone to courteousness and understatement even to their own detriment? Maybe Alfredo should be forced to do a sabbatical in, like, Canada, or something… (Anyway it could be worse for Alfredo. For illustration of how it could be worse for Alfredo, I will direct your attention to the aforementioned, um, documentary series, “Fargo”. At least Taylor didn’t shove him through a wood chipper, no?)
My mom is a nurse and if doing hair is anything like it, everyone says they’re fine when they’re not. I guarantee you that the same people that would let themselves be in horrible pain since they haven’t take any meds since their amputation, would say “I love it” even though they don’t.
It's a really common problem in the salon industry. If we as stylists are expecting honesty from our clients, we NEED to be honest about our ability. "Under promise, over deliver"
My big thing is Alfredo threw her under the bus first by saying she didn't communicate and that's why everybody is angry. Why did he do that? Why didn't he just say she was happy with it, and that's what matters? I don't think any of this had to have happened
It was advice, it didn’t sound like he threw Taylor under the bus. A hunch of people dragged his work and he defended himself because he thought she liked it. She kept ensuring that she liked it afterwards, which apparently was a lie, which proves she can’t communicate. I’m a girl, and I can be overly sensitive, but this is the true definition of making a mountain out of a molehill.
@@dotcom3015No, he threw her under the bus by saying she didn't communicate when she LITERALLY DID FROM THE BEGINNING and he knew she wanted extensions, even said he could do them. He just didn't want to bc he wasn't getting sponsored by the brand. WHICH HE ADMITTED. It's scummy.
@@dotcom3015 she only said she didn't like it after he told everybody that was commenting that she should have communicated if she didn't like it. He sent her all the people saying mean things in his comments. He could have just said the lighting was wierd here it looks good in this photo. He totally threw her under the bus saying if it doesn't look good it's her fault.
The "be grateful because it was free" argument really annoys me the most. It's not what she asked for, and even if there was any ambiguity in the initial consultation, you're still allowed to be dissatisfied with a service you didn't pay for?? If someone takes me out to dinner and I order a burger but the restaurant insists on serving me spaghetti, am I supposed to just act like that's totally fine?
she had other partners offering to do her hair and she turned them down because he convinced her that he could give her what she wanted after seeing the long hair example photos though 😭😭 and yes.... it does look bad.... if it was something like, a friend did at home, i'd be happy with it, but to claim to be a professional and produce results that look like they did in the "patchy" example clip.....
To be fair, his Job is literally to fix peoples hair so if there's a big scandal of him doing a really bad job then that can lead to other people not wanting him to fix theirs. So he kinda needs to convince people that she's just saying what her commenters are saying
Alfredo: "Look at how she says she likes it, she was so happy!" Video of her with an awkward smile on her face (especially compared to how she emotes in her other videos): "... yeah... i love it..."
I felt her in that moment 😂 most of us have been there before. It sucks, and I think he should have backed down and admitted that there could have been a misunderstanding and tried to make things right with her.
I swear the majority of hair stylists are truly delusional though. They’ll give you a haircut no sane person would ask for then fight you on it with “this is what you wanted!”
As a Sephora employee, I get a fuck ton of free K18 and I've experienced off putting brand reps. They really didn't have to do this because their shit WORKS. Its going to affect more than just their bottom line. I do think her hair looks patchy and the whole situation is so weird. I can't imagine being put in the position of being part of what was essentially an ad and not feeling like you could speak up in the moment.
Brand reps gravitate towards me because I have blue money pieces and had long hair (recently chopped it past my chin) so I look like a good "poster child". I do my own hair because I'm neurodivergent and I've had bad experiences at the salon.
@@drooooopoh my god nobody should have taught yall that word. Nobody is infantilizing her, they’re sympathising with somebody who was put in a tough situation and got a haircut they hated.
I mean K18 wasn’t the one who messed up the highlights, no? Her hair definitely looks less damaged, and if she hates the highlights she can just henna-dye her hair back to its natural color until the damaged hair grows out again. That said, yeah, the hairdresser should have just taken his (very large) check and stfu. Dishing like this isn’t the _good_ kind of attention, at least when it comes to big sponsorship deals like the one he apparently has with K18.
That is not a haircut and style worth flying out to California for. With engagement numbers like that, they should've given her whatever she wanted, but they wasted all those views and her time on hair she could've gotten done better locally. I don't think what they did is like morally bad, they gave her a free trip, but they definitely didn't deliver results worthy of influencer advertising.
A hairdresser in Minnesota would have been nicer to her, too. I mean, even if “Minnesota nice” is just a facade lol (Maybe Taylor’s problem is that she’s _too_ “Minnesota nice” idk)
So many mediocre hairdressers will talk shit people who do their hair at home when in reality after a short period of trial and error I was able to very quickly learn to bleach and color my hair at home AND got better results than the local salon artists in my area who wasted my money and fried my hair.
No but for real, like Brad Mondo has made an entire career out of ripping on people making videos about doing their hair at home, despite there being PLENTY of him butchering other peoples’ hair himself.
this is honestly sooooo true i am poor POOR af and sometimes i genuinely cant afford a haircut / doing my hair and doing it myself is Effective and makes me look and feel good! and then u go to a hairdresser and theyre ALWAYS like "ohhh you SHOULD have come to me you should always let me use THESE products because theyre the best, and you should NEVER try to do it yourself and also dont let anyone else do it" and i just smile and wave i suppose :3 waiting until this woman stops trying to give me the fucking stack so i can go home and take the clippers to my head
That's why I appreciate the hairdresser I go to once in awhile. He doesn't do fancy colors (only naturals) and he really liked the way I colored it on my own. I only have him cut my hair, since it's not exactly smth I can do well on my own 😂.
When I was 16 I decided I wanted to bleach my virgin light brown hair, but since I had no experience I went to a salon that I thought I could trust since they already cut my hair multiple times. It was really expensive but I've been saving for it for a year. The hairstylist ONLY bleached my hair and let it stay for 2 hours and then sent me home with YELLOW hair. So she never put anything else on my hair besides bleach. I was already severely bullied at school but after bullies saw my bright yellow hair they did it even more. Even my family called me a taxi lol. I was wondering why I couldn't brush my hair at all and it became really matted every single day, but since I thought my hairstylist was a professional I thought it was normal. I dyed my hair brown 2 weeks after that. Only a couple of years ago (when I decided to bleach it at home) I realized that she fooled me, destroyed my hair and my scalp (my scalp had red scabs all over and it was peeling) and just took my money because I was a kid. My hair and scalp never completely recovered after that. I'm 27 now and I've had blonde hair (not yellow) for years now and it's pretty healthy and I can actually brush it, even though I do everything at home. I still don't understand how a professional hairstylist could fry my hair and scalp for hours with just bleach and basically scam a kid. There's no way she didn't know.
Fr, I've had the same straight bob for years and I've been cutting it myself. Finally thought, I should treat myself and go to the salon. Paid $130 (AUD), came home and there were random uneven strands and even a small chunk left long? Had to recut it myself. What's the point lol
people often feel pressure when at a hair salon (that they’re paying to be at), that on top of a camera being shoved in her face, she was probably just saying she loved it to get out of there. that and the fact she was flown out then and she didn’t have to pay for anything probably made the pressure she was feeling worse.
There was literally no pressure on her to text them days after she left the salon about how much she loved it and OFFER TO PAY. People are so dumb in this comment section
Yeah Taylor really gives me vibes of being very people pleasing and anxious. If so, no way would she feel like she could speak up more than she did. Seeing everyone's comments weren't the cause of her not being into, they just gave her the confidence to talk about it. I hope she finds a really good stylist and gets the hair she wants soon!
I think what you’re describing is known as “Minnesota nice”. Which is to say it’s a cultural thing, and Alfredo should have known better than to read Taylor like a cynical Valley Girl.
@@droooooptry calling someone an “entitled brat” in Minnesota and see if the nice church ladies keep inviting you to their potlucks lol. Mary Tyler Moore? I’m all tapped out, dontcha know…)
I think inherently flying someone out for free, "saving their hair", filming them, etc etc. they are under a lot of pressure to be basically a promotional actor. Whether for gratitude or anxiety, theres a lot of reasons someone might go along with the experts in the moment, and feel regret later. I can see why she didnt speak up during the videos, because they dont leave room for her to speak, she is essentially a prop for their video. They aren't explaining it to her, they're explaining it to the audience. I have super bad social anxiety, and i have to cut my own hair because all barbers ive been to just freestyle and loosely follow my instructions or reference pictures. It's this feeling of "maybe once its done it'll look better" as you see them cutting off way too much, but it never does. Though i think it's probably more layered with long hair, because the expensive hair products they use arent going to be given in a little doggy bag, right? Maintaining a specific look takes time and product, and curls or volume can change the length of hair. So even if it looks good in the salon, how can you know if in a week it'll have the same qualities? In general, i think people are allowed to be unhappy with the results of something after going along with it.
@@blakewhite3131why is she more comfortable shading the stylist on tiktok than confronting him in person? Useless passive aggressive entitled influencer brain fr
It's so true that just because you get something for free, it doesn't mean you have to be grateful. I remember reading that after the Haiti earthquake there were massive clothing drives, and they were inundated with western clothing, instead of helping, this decimated the local clothing industry (which was one of the only flourishing industries at that time) as no one wanted or needed the local clothes, and this just increased the desire for western clothing imports, and did more harm than good. If you're giving someone something for free but not asking or respecting their preference, then that's not really 'giving' something out of kindness. Taylor is pretty young and probably doesn't realize that they were getting more out of this than she was. And it's okay if they didn't want to use the extensions, but they made it sound like that was what she wanted, instead of explaining why they couldn't do it, so I can see why she felt like they didn't listen to her in hindsight, even if they felt like they explained it because it seems like they told her and didn't ask or engage with her about it, because it was 'free' and they could call the shots.
I don’t like Alfredo sauce acting all upset and surprised at her reaction to what he said about not communicating when she clearly did 😭 it sounds like she was just going to take it in stride and not say anything until he said that so….
I hate the people who are like “You should be grateful” for smth you didn’t ask for. They probably made WAYYY more money than her appointment would have cost. Even if you get smth for free you’re allowed to be disappointed. Especially when you had specifically asked for smth else and they disregarded it.
Right?! He’s saying it so aggressively too 🙄 like fam she was being polite, get over it. It happens. And it was the viewers who called him out for a bad job first 🙄 not even her. You did a bad job Marinara 😂 accept it and move on. Don’t blame your poor work on her.

I feel so bad.. I know how it feels to hate your hair after it gets done. And once it’s brown, it takes soooo many bleaching sessions to get it back to the blonde or lighter colour you want. I’ve also had the experience of sitting in the chair hating the outcome, while saying “I love it so much” while I’m dying inside
when you're on camera and got something for free, you're gonna be polite and say it looks fine even if you're not super happy with it. You might think you're overreacting until you see lots of other people also think it sucks.
I don't hate the hair I think the makeup is horrible and she looked better as a blonde but if she wanted brown it's still cute. It might only look cute styled tho. I've had haircut like that before. I do think it's crazy to not do what she wanted tho especially since they put the extensions in, they literally had the material and used it. I like shorter hair and I think it looks great with her face probably better than long hair would but like I'm not the one who has to wear the haircut so who cares. Suck it up man, it's your job, you're not playing dolls. Also to me she kinda looks in pain when she's saying she loves it. It does not sound convincing lmao.
idk if she redid her makeup or they did it, but something happened between the time she was blonde and the final reveal 😭 she looked like a ghost, and it may have been because of the lighting and her powder but istg if it were me and the stylists did my makeup like that…and whoever chose to make her eyes dark like that should lose their licence bc wth 😭😭

She went to her makeover looking like Kylie Jenner and ended up looking like Leah Remini - who is beautiful, but is decades older than this young lady.
I thought this aged her too. Both women you mentioned are gorgeous but it would be weird to look 20 years older or younger. It’s not awful, but this cut and color does not suit her personality.
Okay, K18 is a good product, but it's not a miracle product. It's something you use consistently for results, not just once. I've been using it for a few years, as olaplex lasted for one treatment on my thick hair and I couldn't justify spending $50 AUD per treatment. K18 lasts for ages as it's just 3-5 pumps in my hair so I can justify $80 AUD every 6 months It also will not repair split ends or bleach damaged hair, nothing can repair hair because it's fucking dead. I just know that my hair is better off when I use it consistently and it was waaaaay better than olaplex. It's similar to a protein treatment in the sense of how it helps my curl pattern more defined.
people mad at her for not being honest have either been lucky enough to have never had their hair fucked OR have never actually been to a hairdresser. im sorry but theyre the most gaslighty people ive ever experienced besides nail techs 😭😭😭😭 u speak up and they literally say "no youre wrong" and then wont fix it😭😭😭 its terrifying to experience in person. now add the fact theyre filming her every second of the cut, no shit shes pretending to love it - if she said in the video she hated it, theyd probably gaslight her and/or demonise her , like theyre doing RIGHT NOW.
as a hairstylist, I feel like the highlights are the main issue, besides the obvious difference in the extensions length. they're pretty big and awkwardly placed, I feel like if they added highlights at all, they should have been small and blended if they wanted it to look more natural and less... awkward? the brown would look completely fine without highlights, too. her photos even show medium to small highlights with a money piece, idk why they made it look like that. I feel bad for her. I saw better highlights in cosmetology school😭😭 his behavior is so unprofessional

i feel like the take away from this is..... it shouldn't be considered impolite to say when you don't like something. we are so conditioned to just "be polite", but if we say in the moment what we actually would like then this all could have been avoided. i feel like this happens a lot, people just being polite and then are left disappointed, and the person who hears the "oh i love it" doesn't think beyond that. Saying "i don't like this, i would prefer...." should NOT be considered impolite!
In the "Play this Video Next" spot is a random video about Kylie Jenner. The photo, obviously, shows Kylie with the exact same haircut that Taylor received. Mr. L.A. Greed knew what he was doing.
He said he wouldn't cut her hair in his video, so clearly he's a lair. Also does he not know what a highlight is? It's not applied correctly at the top. You can see where it's streaky at the top. I could spend hours listing the issues with this hair style and color, but instead I'll say don't have your hair done for free on camera unless you want it botched.
Behind the Chair (salon) hair dressers gave Taylor the long hair she wanted. With "bye bye bob. Bye bye brass" written on their tiktok/reel. @@Phantomphan613part of social/general anxiety/people pleasing recovery is learning how to advocate for yourself, if you let your symptoms dictate your life with absolutely no work put in to change it i dont think you get to complain
I feel like it's pretty common for people to be so stunned and pressured in the moment that they tell the stylist/barber they like it when they don't. It's also common to notice the patchiness after someone else points it out, especially in a part of your hair that you might not see right away.
he put tape in extensions in for volume… tape in are the worst for damaged hair. she never mentioned wanting volume just length. If that was the reason why not say it’s too damaged for long hair instead of “we love the length”
K-tip extensions are light weight and work great for weaker hair, so i hope she gets those instead. They prolli used tape ins because bellami paid them to promote that product. There aren't many k-tip extension brands sponsoring tiktokers. I dont think she even needed extensions added if they were keeping her hair short because her hair was already a great density. It looks like a wig now. The color is great tho and k18 did wonders on her hair.
If he didn’t make it seem like it was her fault things didn’t come out well, then she wouldn’t have said anything. He probably thought she was too passive and wasn’t gonna say anything. But seriously, if you’re confident in your work, why also unnecessarily throw your client under the bus?
For anyone with anxiety about getting their hair done, I highly recommend finding pictures on exactly what you want. It clears up any miscommunication between you and the stylist since you both have the same end product in mind.
I mean, she didn't say that she found her hair bad, she just said she didn't like the length, because she especially told Alfredo she wants her hair longer and that she was upset with the service since Alfredo didn't really talk with her and clearly just did it for the money he got. So, I don't see why anyone would be upset with her. She just stood up for herself🤷🏽♀️
Yeah, like him saying "I would've flown her out but NOT NOW" as if she's wronged him by simply wanting her hair to be different than it is? She isn't slandering him or the business, she is saying she had a different idea of what her hair was going to be. He's taking it personally when he could've salvaged it even now, but I think this response will damage his brand, because he has shown that he can't accept criticism or communicate with his clients. Because she shouldn't have to remind them she wants long hair, they should ask about the length and reiterate before they start filming. It's not her job to start the conversation on what you're doing to her hair, you should ask.
But also in that text she sent him the next day, she apologises for not talking and being out of it because of jetlag. So we know it was her that didn't talk..
nooooo i love philip wolff :(( also WOW that poor woman. i know what it's like going to a hair stylist, getting excited about your new look, only to be underwhelmed by what you're given... but then you still have to act like it's fine and you "love it" because you don't want to upset the hair stylist... that experience is literally why i cut my own hair now.
The thing that makes Alfredo seem less genuine to me is that he never tries to resolve it. He never says, "hey taylor, i heard that you are not happy with youe hair and i want to make it right." He could have hooked her up with a k18 rep in her area and paid for her to get what she wanted. And in the future, he should video the consult if he wants to use that as his receipts. Putting systems in place would prevent or resolve this issue.... unless the drama is what he really wanted for views
I could understand "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit" when it comes to like... free objects? But when it comes to directly effecting someones personhood? No. NO. That's not okay. Especially not since these situations are extremely exploitative.
I've had a colourist walk me out into the middle of the street outside just to get me into the sunlight to "show me its what [I] wanted". The amount of subtle bullying to say you like it at salons is actually fucking insane.
I do not hate the actual result at the end but I will say that it does not look worth whatever price he would have charged if it was not free, and the fact he was getting paid so much by brands to do this she should have gotten something way nicer. I think there should have been more discussion with her at a low stake enviroment without filming and lights before hand. And the fact the hairdresser does not understand that most people have a fear of telling the hairdresser that you don't like your haircut is ridiculous. Especially as she was beig filmed the whole time and the fact that the whole thing was framed as a gift to her. Of course she would have guilt expressing her real opinion.
I once helped a school mate of mine when he opened his 1st salon by being a model for me. I got colour and stay there all day to be a show case. Went back a few weeks to do re growth and a colour refresh. Paid. Colour was nothing like i previously had, roots were lighter, etc. got gaslighted as though I did not have eyes on my face!! Lol
based on the first ‘consultation’ tiktok I was under the impression that what they meant by ‘keep the length’ was that they were going to keep her hair length and then blend it into the long extensions the guy showed - I wonder if she was under the same impression and then got too nervous to say anything when they started cutting the length away since they’d be expensive to replace.
Even without the cameras and as a paying customer, when in front of another person, I know I’d at least be too uncomfortable and heightened in the moment to even process how it looks until I’m home, alone, calmed down, and have seen how it looks after a wash / in a more typical (relaxed) daily style. Regardless I would say thank you it’s great
I always tell my hairdresser that I love my haircut because my hair always looks like shit directly after being cut, but looks great a few hours later. My hair’s pretty curly, but straightens as it gets longer and weighs itself down. So it looks really flat when it’s first cut, but then curls up all cute and I love when it looks like that :] Plus my hairdresser is lovely. Thanks Paul, love you, you’re great!
1/4th through the video but I saw one of the stylists' vids before and people in comments were so mad cause the customer he did requested a certain style and color and they completely disregarded her and said she didn't know what looked good on her, so they did their own thing. She looked so upset. I have thankfully never had a bad haircut but I did have crappy highlights once and I regret not really speaking up, but I'm also afraid to confront someone working on my hair ;u;
its so interesting to compare the responses to this situation. I'd watched a different youtuber's video on the situation before and the responses there were all on Alfredo's side and about how ungrateful taylor was since she got a free makeover and everything. the responses here are very different and I definitely agree with these ones more: you can tell taylor wasn't happy, and alfredo's behavior seems unprofessional
Lots of people arguing which of these people are in the wrong, honestly tho, the girl said she liked the hair in the video he showed so the real villains are the people repeatedly saying how "ugly/bad/underwhelming" the hair is (before either of them made responses). She said she liked it and its not ur hair, i dont care if the before and after is "underwhelming" its somebodys actual hair and not just content for you to consume
This is such a sad situation. She wanted a different hair colour to minimize the Kylie Jenner comparisons but yet, Alfredo completely calls her a Kylie look-alike. She also wanted long hair with extensions because she loves long hair, so why would he cut her hair back into the same bob length?
Who wouldn't say they love it when the barber still has scissors in hand.
that and my husband told a hairstylist that his sides were uneven and this girl really said "No it's not, you're just not seeing it properly."

I have disliked a haircut maybe 20% of the time but have said “I love it thank you” 100% of the time.
I don't blame you but genuinely as a hairdress we would much rather you just tell us what is wrong so we can fix it for you!
Skill issue
This has happened to me but I’ve never texted the stylist the next day to confirm I love the hairstyle
Love this comment!
I'm glad for this perspective, thank you ^^

Yeah, half the point of going to the hairdresser is that it’s like going to therapy. If your therapist isn’t allowed to dish about you identifiably (never mind on social media), then any hairdresser who wants any sort of customer loyalty shouldn’t dish on their clients identifiably, either.
Alfredo’s therapy license should get suspended by the state of California for violating HIPAA… except that he’s not a therapist, and the only thing that really matters with a hairdresser license is not physically injuring your clients, which he hasn’t done here.

Awww oh noo. 😥See this is why the interwebs suck..
I was appalled that she was given extensions in the first place. Setting her up for failure.

Particularly someone from Minnesota. Hasn’t Alfredo seen “Fargo”? Doesn’t he know that people from the Upper Midwest are prone to courteousness and understatement even to their own detriment? Maybe Alfredo should be forced to do a sabbatical in, like, Canada, or something…
(Anyway it could be worse for Alfredo.

At the end of the day- the hair looked terrible. If he couldn’t handle hair that damaged he shouldn’t have agreed to colour it.
THIS^ i think it was just out of his skill set

It's a really common problem in the salon industry. If we as stylists are expecting honesty from our clients, we NEED to be honest about our ability. "Under promise, over deliver"
the makeup is so much worse than the hair, though
Yess, putting the feelings aside, the hair objectively doesn't look that great 😅
My big thing is Alfredo threw her under the bus first by saying she didn't communicate and that's why everybody is angry.

And Taylor LITERALLY had mentioned from the start that she wanted extensions and Alfredo ACKNOWLEDGED that on the FIRST VIDEO RESPONSE. It's wild
If someone takes me out to dinner and I order a burger but the restaurant insists on serving me spaghetti, am I supposed to just act like that's totally fine?
she had other partners offering to do her hair and she turned them down because he convinced her that he could give her what she wanted after seeing the long hair example photos though 😭😭 and yes.... it does look bad.... if it was something like, a friend did at home, i'd be happy with it, but to claim to be a professional and produce results that look like they did in the "patchy" example clip.....
a hairdresser so dedicated to believing they did a great job after the client says they hate it is a terrifying concept
To be fair, his Job is literally to fix peoples hair so if there's a big scandal of him doing a really bad job then that can lead to other people not wanting him to fix theirs. So he kinda needs to convince people that she's just saying what her commenters are saying
Alfredo: "Look at how she says she likes it, she was so happy!"

Brand reps gravitate towards me because I have blue money pieces and had long hair (recently chopped it past my chin) so I look like a good "poster child". I do my own hair because I'm neurodivergent and I've had bad experiences at the salon.

Honestly for all the effort to fly someone out to get hair done and then having it look just as bad as a home job is just horrible.

Okay, K18 is a good product, but it's not a miracle product. It's something you use consistently for results, not just once. I've been using it for a few years, as olaplex lasted for one treatment on my thick hair and I couldn't justify spending $50 AUD per treatment. K18 lasts for ages as it's just 3-5 pumps in my hair so I can justify $80 AUD every 6 months
It also will not repair split ends or bleach damaged hair, nothing can repair hair because it's fucking dead. I just know that my hair is better off when I use it consistently and it was waaaaay better than olaplex. It's similar to a protein treatment in the sense of how it helps my curl pattern more defined.

as a hairstylist, I feel like the highlights are the main issue, besides the obvious difference in the extensions length. they're pretty big and awkwardly placed, I feel like if they added highlights at all, they should have been small and blended if they wanted it to look more natural and less... awkward? the brown would look completely fine without highlights, too. her photos even show medium to small highlights with a money piece, idk why they made it look like that. 11:35 oh my ! he was claiming that he wants to help specifically people tgat have come from bad places so of course shes going to be compliant if you suggest things !! he targeted her then made her feel bad mmnnnm nuhuh thats messed up idk how he could not know what he is doin
"I want to help people with trauma" smash cut to them saying she ruined her own hair and calling it crunchy and laughing. Like ????? Maybe be nicer
@@blakewhite3131 YEAH !! im 100% certain dude is a professional practiced gaslighter
i feel like the take away from this is..... it shouldn't be considered impolite to say when you don't like something. we are so conditioned to just "be polite", but if we say in the moment what we actually would like then this all could have been avoided. i feel like this happens a lot, people just being polite and then are left disappointed, and the person who hears the "oh i love it" doesn't think beyond that. Saying "i don't like this, i would prefer...." should NOT be considered impolite!
In the "Play this Video Next" spot is a random video about Kylie Jenner. The photo, obviously, shows Kylie with the exact same haircut that Taylor received. Mr. L.A. Greed knew what he was doing.
one day we'll look back fondly on those silly mirror corner times and laugh :' )
He said he wouldn't cut her hair in his video, so clearly he's a lair. Also does he not know what a highlight is? It's not applied correctly at the top. You can see where it's streaky at the top. I could spend hours listing the issues with this hair style and color, but instead I'll say don't have your hair done for free on camera unless you want it botched.
watchin for a laff + a giggle and then i realized that the haircut everyone is shitting on is the haircut i have now 😭😭 alright
honestly it’s not even that bad😭😭😭it’s the color that’s the issue the cut is cute imo
It's not the cut itself but the fact that it wasn't the length she wanted and the patchy color
Behind the Chair (salon) hair dressers gave Taylor the long hair she wanted. With "bye bye bob. Bye bye brass" written on their tiktok/reel.
Shade is - Alfredo used to work for them n he left them with some drama behind the scenes.
Another hair dresser made a video saying Alfredo is kinda not a good person and does questionable hair work
I had a hairdresser cut one side of my hair longer than the other by accident. Still didn't speak up and tipped like 30% 🤷♀️
Learn to speak up. Being passive aggressive about it later is not a flex
@@drooooop man, you really love victim blaming, don't you
@@Phantomphan613 you’re not a victim because you’re passive aggressive but can’t confront people irl LMAOO
From what i heard her hair was way to weak to hold longer extension, but her hair definitely looks patchy
I don't know cuz they be giving extensions to people with alopecia and who are bald..... I think it was just out of his skill set.
he put tape in extensions in for volume… tape in are the worst for damaged hair. she never mentioned wanting volume just length. If that was the reason why not say it’s too damaged for long hair instead of “we love the length”
@@joywolf83Weakness in hair is about the strength of the individual fibers, not about the number of fibers.
she recently posted an update of getting her hair re done again with the long extensions so i guess we’ll see LOL
Evil Pinely has been released from the reflective vortex! Rejoice!
hurrah!
If he didn’t make it seem like it was her fault things didn’t come out well, then she wouldn’t have said anything. He probably thought she was too passive and wasn’t gonna say anything. But seriously, if you’re confident in your work, why also unnecessarily throw your client under the bus?
I literally was on this page less than 10 minutes ago like "My days are so much less evil without my evil fix" ty pinely but the evil one
take a drink every time evil pinely says "alfredo like the sauce" and wake up in a gutter next week
I’m just so glad he keeps specifying because otherwise I would think the sauce was cutting hair and it would have been weird af 🤷🏻♀️
For anyone with anxiety about getting their hair done, I highly recommend finding pictures on exactly what you want. It clears up any miscommunication between you and the stylist since you both have the same end product in mind.
Didn't you see the pics she sent to him? They are so different from what she ended up with haha
Also wtf did they do to her hair to make it so frizzy in the chair in the 'before' scene when it looked normal in her video before the appt?
no one rests until he is back in his mirror corner
I like this series. It's perfect. Thanks, Evil Pinely. This is the "Who is upset about what?" that I needed. Well, that I wanted.
nooooo i love philip wolff :((
also WOW that poor woman. i know what it's like going to a hair stylist, getting excited about your new look, only to be underwhelmed by what you're given... but then you still have to act like it's fine and you "love it" because you don't want to upset the hair stylist... that experience is literally why i cut my own hair now.
I do toooo 😭😭😭😭😭
Of course she would have guilt expressing her real opinion.
i hate how he said they did it free because thats quite literally NOT TRUE. if shes basically doing a brand deal WITH YOU, thats not free
She looks like she's being held hostage 😭😭 poor girl
Congratulations on escaping the mirror dimension, good luck with the wall dimension
Regardless I would say thank you it’s great
loved the song at the end, even though i still have no idea what k18 is exactly or what it does
so excited to watch this evil pinely video! i can't wait to see him in the mirror corner, it's my favourite thing about this channel 🥰
6:50 i love your 1 (one) hair evil pinley
Am I crazy for thinking her hair looks completely fine? 😐
I always tell my hairdresser that I love my haircut because my hair always looks like shit directly after being cut, but looks great a few hours later.
My hair’s pretty curly, but straightens as it gets longer and weighs itself down. So it looks really flat when it’s first cut, but then curls up all cute and I love when it looks like that :]
Plus my hairdresser is lovely. Thanks Paul, love you, you’re great!
This is why I learned to cut my own hair, everyone else fucks it up then I gotta lie and say its stunning 😭
every word that man said was a brick red flag holy fhck dude !!! we need to teach phycology as general education so y'all can see this clear as i
Everyone tell Evil Pinely he looks very young and fit and out of his cage today
1/4th through the video but I saw one of the stylists' vids before and people in comments were so mad cause the customer he did requested a certain style and color and they completely disregarded her and said she didn't know what looked good on her, so they did their own thing. She looked so upset. I have thankfully never had a bad haircut but I did have crappy highlights once and I regret not really speaking up, but I'm also afraid to confront someone working on my hair ;u;
They gave her a mom haircut. I'd be mad too 😂
“not the sauce, the guy” 💀
its so interesting to compare the responses to this situation.
I only have one rule. I don't trust people named after pasta suaces to touch my hair.
Barber named Marinara: 😞
Silly fact, the sause is named after a guy from New York.
Lots of people arguing which of these people are in the wrong, honestly tho, the girl said she liked the hair in the video he showed so the real villains are the people repeatedly saying how "ugly/bad/underwhelming" the hair is (before either of them made responses). She said she liked it and its not ur hair, i dont care if the before and after is "underwhelming" its somebodys actual hair and not just content for you to consume
she got her hair done again and it looks a lot better i wish you would have seen that
I may know nothing about makeup, but that foundation (in the after look) is too light for her skin tone
Watching this while eating a delicious bowl of K18
This is such a sad situation. She wanted a different hair colour to minimize the Kylie Jenner comparisons but yet, Alfredo completely calls her a Kylie look-alike. She also wanted long hair with extensions because she loves long hair, so why would he cut her hair back into the same bob length?
This is just some personal shit that feels like it shouldn’t be on the internet at all like it’s just a petty argument with misunderstandings
Alfredo feels like the type of guy to send hitmen on his haters
