Taylor Morrison is pretty bad, but most corporate home builders in America are about the same. Something that I found through working for a lot of builders over the years is, even if that "America's most trusted builder" label was earned through surveys, one thing that I found a lot during my time working there is that when asking buyers how they did, The sales people and the construction managers would literally tell the buyer that if the home was "okay or better", give them a 10/10 in every category. They basically took the Uber and Lyft star system, basically saying that if it's barely passable, it scores 100%. The most severe punishment I saw for a construction manager getting less than a 95% was them being forced to watch a 45-minute PowerPoint presentation, with nothing on top of it. Sometimes they didn't even have to fix their mistake! It's bad!!!!
Dude i saw you reviewing a builder and i was gonna beg u to watch Cy's inspector videos. So gpad u already got to him. He's amazing and the reason i have nightmares about the inspections i havent gotten on the house i cant yet afford 😂
Alright I see this a lot, and I’ve finally got the words to explain it: the point of advertising like this is not to make you want to buy a product (a house). Because no one is going to decide to buy a house based on an advert. It’s to make it so that when you DO want to buy a house, you remember them. These aren’t selling ads, there are branding ads. They’re to keep the company top of mind when you think of buying a product.
"America's most trusted brand" is such a vague and meaningless statement that just saying it sounds dodgy. If I saw something say "America's most trusted milk" the first thing I'm thinking is what have you done to or in the milk
The no insulation house won't have the buyer freezing to death. Cyfyinspections is in the phoenix, Arizona where it routinely tops 110° every summer. If they don't have a heat stroke, it's only by spending a couple grand on electricity a month on the air conditioning.
Insulation would be helpful in reducing AC electricity costs by trapping the cold air in the house. It's easier for the cold and hot air to escape through cracks and gaps in the walls that aren't cushioned with insulation. It also protects you if the temperature drops unexpectedly. However, it wouldn't be too helpful if you weren't able to use an AC.

"A wall on the floor, aka a ceiling"
-Pinely 2024
I'm clapping for you, Evil Pinely, for figuring both *this* and the first thing out...w-when she was quiet. You figured out why she was quiet. 👏
Companies get valued for more money with a better brand reputation, that's why home sellers advertise like that too
👏👏👏👏👏 clapping for Pinely since he figured stuff out all on his own
who let these 19 year olds be in charge of home building. holy shit
theyre the advertisers 😭😭 shitty homes but not for That reason at least
i fucking love that home inspector but it makes me so scared for the future
I think if companies started hiring kid actors to read their hate coments, that would be so hilarious. They wouldn't even need to be kids, just someone who looks innocent in all this lol.
I'm clapping for you, Evil Pinely, for figuring both THIS and the first thing out, whe- when she was quiet. Y-you figured out why she was quiet.
One in San Jose I saw put newspaper and garbage in holes and walls cuz they are too lazy to get materials they run out of. I got curious so I pretended to be a buyer and took a look. “Yes falling wall paint is normal” “exposed nails in the carpet is normal” no tf it’s not ☠️ anyway hot states with mild winters tend to have the shittiest construction crews and idk why. I know there’s some issues up north, but wayyyyyyy less.
My husband and I have been wanting to buy a home in Boston for years, but the prices are insane. So, ngl, I looked these folks up mid-way through this video to see if their rates were cheaper than buying an already existing home. Sad news - they don’t operate in most states including MA. Guess I’ll just keep saving forever 😂
I’m from MA as well and lets hope they stay away from here! Currently living in an old home with horse hair walls and I’d rather this than these cardboard/plastic homes WITH NO INSULATION!
I wish you and your husband luck!! My partner and I have discussed buying a home eventually but it seems more like a fantasy to us because of how expensive the market is!
You should cover the whole Glycine situation, it's really funny.
Omg that's my favorite home inspector social media account
I love Cy’s home inspection videos !:p
i will forever thank evil pinely for making sleeping on trains the outro music and introducing me to james marriott's music bc he is now like my favorite artist
pinely, googling interest rates will in fact scare you.
they're kinda outta hand RN.
I've seen a lot of billboards come up in my city recently for flooring- they're all formatted like different memes/current jokes. I couldn't figure out why I disliked it so much until it was so well said by the top commenter.
You're trying to market to ME?? And my friends?? HA. Maybe in 15 years. I really hope.
Yeee. Pinely before work? Don't mind if I do
I was gonna say “yay, evil pinely after school”, he got the start and end of the day for us jehd
And yet again the other bigger scam is overlooked, advertisement/ marketing is antiquated and just hopes no one notices.
I'm clapping for Evil Pinely something something.
lowkey made me think of selling ours n buying a house
Why are these children talking about building homes? Are they pillow forts?
Evil Pinely drawing on the insides of a dismembered and disemboweled box, truly an evil man.
Imagine actually wanting to live in the suburbs.... And using that as marketing for your enterprise
Just in general, any company giving themselves a pat on the back is suspicious
I ❤that inspector dude
Nice video. How’s our cardboard house treating you??
We have a home builder local just like that. My mom used to close their houses. One was built without a shower. One they tried to close without a roof. I can't make this crap up
