I LOVE those bat transfers and the metal trim you added. Perfect. I hope you're still uploading to this channel! Your work is actually original, not derivative, and I love your overall aesthetic.
Hello there....really nice vanity. As for the red paint if I were you, I would have used red velvet, you would have had a much nicer look to the whole unit, it's still not to late to achieve this just make cardboard templates and stick your felt or velvet straight to the shelves or stick on to your templates and later on you can change the colours......eg purple or dark grey, basically any colour of your choice. Although not my usual style I am drawn to the unique and unexpected so of course I watched this video. This piece had it's challenges yet your focus and determination never waivers. Well done indeed! A unique way to add texture and depth to furniture is via resin and silicone molds. I purchase random molds at Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Walmart, etc and save them in a box. UV resin can cure with sunlight. I do not fill the molds when applying to furniture, usually ¼" is deep enough. (Also a decent depth for earrings and most pendants.) Chalk paint and spray paint made to adhere to plastic covers resin or tint non-UV resin. I use E6000 to glue resin pieces in-place. I have sold themed furniture in various styles including goth, mermaids, Frozen, sea shells, sunflowers, etc. It's a unique niche market that few consider. Pre-pandemic I usually made 2 or 3 themed pieces per year. A themed chest of drawers always sold for at least $300. Each was a one-of-a-kind Signature piece. It might be worth considering.
Love it ! You did such a great job; Good for you for being patient and not giving up. Those kinds of projects can be frustrating but are so worth it 🖤 ❤️
Nearly scrolled right past this video because the thumbnail didn't catch my attention but I'm glad the title caught my eye. This project was wonderful to watch and it turned out so good! Definitely subscribing!

That's a great question. I've wondered if maybe I should have used the mineral spirits first. I guess I'll have to find out! I think using some kind of paint stripper first probably would have made this easier. I wasn't really considering the layers of paint at the beginning of this project. I was way to excited and eager to get started and do some sanding. Lol
I have a few questions about two small DIY projects. Would you be so kind if you had time to answer these for me? How can I communicate with you if I only have an email address, TH-cam, Facebook and WhatsApp?

Black cherry velvet would have been nice in place of the red paint, but it came out nice.
Lots of hard work, you did a fantastic job, I luv your video.

Just an afterthought, You could use red velvet to place in the drawers and shelves for a more sophisticated look. Victorians used this on everything.
Yes! I need to do that for an upgrade! Thank you!
This makes me want to repaint my own desk
Yay! Do it!!!!
Nice, I love the details. I'll remember your advice when I start revamping my own furniture lol
Beautiful!

the embellishments paint them in golden
Instead of sanding could you have used a paint stripper gel?

@@DakotasSpookyDecor regardless it came out great!
I’m confused why the cleaning is necessary if it’ll just be sanded off anyways
