Used to do lots of things when I was younger. Even lolita inspired chokers and head pieces.
Wish I could wear necklaces, but my cold asthma and the cyst on my thyroid have taken that away from me many years ago. Can't even have clothes close to my neck.
But miss necklaces most. At least I still can wear cool earrings.

Those hair grabs is the only type that works in my hair. Used to even decorate with small black roses (the one people used for candles decoration once upon a time) and put them on the base of my big tails (had either synthetic dreads or big hair falls back then).
If I don't use that for hair, I use those clips that is on loose hair bits or wigs. They work perfect for miniature hats.

@@purplejanew long don't work either. I have clothes I can't wear during specially winter and cold days. Sometimes even my hair can irritate... but I think I might try do diy, have an idea in my backhead that could be instead of necklaces.
I don't often have things in my hair. Must let the back grow out more, cause only length is closer to my face. 😄

I definitely relate to the arachnophobia, I'm much better than I used to be and even captured and released a gigantic wolf spider the other day(from my bathroom to outside), I'm still not a huge fan of spider jewelry but I have made a couple of pieces and I love spider web anything 😁💜

Jane, have you seen the looping pliers? I used to make rosary necklaces by hand but my arthritis would rather me not anymore lol - the looping pliers are so great! There are 3 sizes. I got all 3 heheh. I got mine on Amazon but bead shops should have them 🖤

Loving your eye makeup here, the colours look lovely.
I've made a few jewellery pieces and hair clips though nothing as adventurous as you've made.
Loved the bat with the tassel necklace and would wear it though I would spend all my time fiddling with the tassel if I got anxious, same with those beaded elastic bracelets, I've broken all but one of them so I try not to wear it too often as it's my favourite Amethyst one (need to find something to do with my hands when the anxiety sets in lol)

I got a book on macrame once and couldn't make sense of it 😹 though I've a friend who has patience for reading things and working it out so I'll ask him if he could show me, he makes a lot of things with knots and string and I used to make haynets for horses out of baling twine so hopefully, once he shows me what the diagrams and instructions mean, I can pick it up, lol.

Lovely to discover you Jane. Looking for fellow 'elder' goths as I discovered their called. 🖤 Definitely can't call myself a baby bat, or wish to be like you when I grow up 😂😂😂, coz I already did that stuff 😱👍🏼. We're almost the same age, but it's fab to see a fellow elder channelling big goth vibes. Looking forward to a 'strange journey' in the year ahead. There are so many things we have now that we didn't have back in the day, but I am pretty glad to have lived without some of them! I always say that I make my own trail up Goth Mountain and eschew labels and types as I get older, I care not for classifying myself - I am what I am!

It's very easy. There's tutorials online I think toxic tears has one where she makes a rosary eyeglass chain.

Thank you and no I haven't - I find feathers where I live and use them as I want - I am not doing any more than that so no cultural problems there.

The phial one is really easy - it's just red ink in a perfume sample bottle and a bit of wire and some beads! I bet you could knock one up in no time!!

Me too. Wish I could dress like this. And wear makeup like this, again. Lol. My son is 9 and he's at that age where things like, how your mother looks when she picks you up from school, embarrasses him. He doesn't understand why I'm goth, why I wear black all the time, why I listen to goth music. I have facial piercings and stretched ears and I think that embarrasses him, too. So I just keep it very minimal. Plus, my boss wont be too happy if I looked too goth at work.
