Respect for the field. Like golfers and baseball players you take care of the field. It shouldn't just be left for the maintenance workers. All player should be taught to repair the field.
Take it easy Ray. The kids should be out there working on the field? This isn’t a golf course. These kinds of sports fields need heavy machinery to be fixed. Do some research on what it takes to fix a sports field.
Thanks Mayor.
Should be renewed before getting this bad.
It's closed that's why they repairing it. Usage was at a maximum. Closure makes sure the field is at top shape.
Gotta remember to do that with the fishing too
At least the grass is cut. I don’t know how often there are matches but it sounds like preparation measures are in place. Seems like there are always complaints but how often is the field used? Other popular places need maintenance too.
Need 4 months to repair that mess, not 4 weeks!
Wait wait, they only fix the fields when the tourists come in? What?
These are local tournaments. Some teams from outer islands and maybe a few from mainland.
Honolulu Parks n Rec are a joke. All the city park fields look like trash. Taxpayers deserve better. The Parks n Rec have no idea the work and regular maintenance these fields need. They need to be aerated and seeded every couple years and maintained by professionals. Look at a mainland park in a smart county (not a Dem County) and blow your mind as to what is possible in a first world country.
Soon to be a giant dump site👍
It's not going to be a landfill.
The disposal side proposal was denied by the military.
