    I have mobility problems myself but I can move around but as I have aged I have to push through the pain and with the help of walking aids I can still get around, I really like the way that you never seem to moan about your condition.

      I have my good and bad days. Probably as you know, the emotional journey can be quite tough. I mostly try to focus on the positives and the things that I can do versus the things I’m not able to do. I’m very fortunate that I survived my accident, so I gotta make the best out of the life that I have. That’s the way I look at things anyways.
      Do you have an SCI as well or what is your condition that you’re struggling with?

      @@QuadLife101 thanks for your reply, I have arthritis in almost every joint, I have had new knees and I am on the waiting list for hip joints, my problem is pain, my medication helps in the short term but doesn't last all day, I can still walk with leg braces and thank god that I can still drive. Good luck 🌹

    Congratulations! I am a Brazilian wheelchair user and as the bathrooms in Brazil are different from other countries in America and Europe, I was looking for videos on this topic of yours to learn the techniques of transfers in the bathroom because it is very common to have bathtubs and that for me was the worst thing about regarding the shower which is more common here. And you gave a show of class and skills because your injury is still above my T7/8 SCI

      I’m so sorry I’m not really understanding I believe it’s Portuguese. But thank you for the comment. I also speak French if that’s an easier way of communicating.

      félicitations! Je suis un utilisateur de fauteuil roulant brésilien et comme les salles de bains au Brésil sont différentes des autres pays d'Amérique et d'Europe, je cherchais des vidéos sur votre sujet pour apprendre les techniques de transferts dans la salle de bain car il est très courant d'avoir des baignoires et c'était pour moi la pire chose à propos de la douche qui est plus courante ici. Et vous avez fait preuve de classe et de compétences parce que votre blessure est toujours au-dessus de mon SCI T7/8

    Can you show how you attached the stick to the shower curtain in order to open and close?

    • @QuadLife101
      @QuadLife101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure I understand. The stick is just a regular curtain rod and I just have a key ring that I attach at the end of the rod where it’s got an attachment for it. Then attach it to one of my shower curtain loops that holds the curtain. Hope that makes sense? You can also take a look in the description of where you’re able to get those rods.

      Happy to help hope it works for you. It’s been such a game changer for me. Ended up finding it at the reuse it centre so it was a hammy down, but you can get that stuff on Amazon for cheap. They can also be called “Blind pull rods/wand” and I would get them with a closed loop rather than a hook so it’s stable and doesn’t fall off.

      I wish I knew! I haven’t figured out how to do that and don’t know if it’s doable with my level of function add body strength.

    do yk how big tht sliding board is?

    • @QuadLife101
      @QuadLife101  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s the ADI smaller board 21” x 8”. You can also pick the orientation of the hand holes whether you want them vertical or horizontal. Hope this helps! My apologies for the tardy response as well.

    What exactly commode chair do you have? Do you have bowel management program?

    • @QuadLife101
      @QuadLife101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the RAZ SP600. I’ve actually wrote it down in the description, along with the link to check it out. And yes I do have a bowel program usually go 3x/ week. I’ll eventually make a videos about bowels and bladder care after SCI, along with my personal routine and what I have learned over the years. 💩

    Where is your shower drain??

    • @QuadLife101
      @QuadLife101  ปีที่แล้ว

      From just after the side of my toilet, the floor is slightly slanted, and the shower drain is towards the wall, parallel to how the shower curtain would close. It’s just a bar made it from the same material as the tiled wall where the water can drain, where there is a slight slits on both side. You can then lift it up to clean it and there is an actual drain hole in the middle. Hope this makes sense! The downside is it is a headache to clean up and a bit gross, usually do it every 3 to 4 months.

      Incomplete ended up getting some triceps and wrist flexion back. I now present more closely to a C7.
