      Two: Breaking Bad has a TON of symbolism and foreshadowing, and is recommended to watch more than once. Many people I've spoken to have mentioned that they always catch something new with each rewatch. I've watched it 5 times, and I can certainly attest to that.

      Totally agree. The look on his face when he pulls up and realizes what has happened is heartbreaking. Also, when he goes into the house and room and they tell him he shouldn't be there....Then, he also gives an honest reaction and performance when the lady is interviewing him about her birthplace and other info about her...It's interesting how he was so speechless and shocked that even the sight of Jesse didn't anger him anymore. He must have slept on what happened the day before and realized that his daughter was in love with Jesse.

      Thats how BCS watchers assumed that Fring is on set of next season. But i don‘t think that anyone catched the easteregg „737 down over abq“. These episodes aired in 2009 where the series was not hyped and no one has really known that its full of foreshadows.

    John De Lancie who plays Janes father was amazing in this episode. He had only a handful of lines but conveyed the deep sadness and pain a father in this position would feel. I am so glad the writers didn't go for cheap reactions by having him scream, weep, or lunge at Jesse. They allowed this great actor to just EMOTE non verbally and it worked brilliantly. I have been a fan of De Lancies work since his days as "Q" in multiple star trek series over the years.

    The girls may have found the climax of the teddy bear cold opens a little anticlimactic (I don't know their level of criticism), but it's a really effective and poetic ending to more strongly show how all of Walt's actions have triggered a chain reaction with everyone around him, and now it's all starting to come back to him. Even some of his most minor decisions have triggered other events around him like the "butterfly flaps its wings" effect on physics, and now the audience can figure out that Walt is now the cancer himself and his actions are metastasizing and spreading all over....This would have been a good point for Walt to wake up and realize all the harm he has caused with how crazy things are spiraling out of control, but he doesn't know Jane's dad is the air traffic controller at this point, and now Skyler is leaving him.

    • @Dylan_Thomas1
      @Dylan_Thomas1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Leo Absolutely not. First, I wanna address the Krazy 8 thing. Krazy 8 was literally going to kill Walt and his whole family. Whether he said he was or not. And he probably would have done it brutally. The blackmail thing is very possible, and similar to killing Walt, but as for making Jesse overdose...why is it so popular an opinion that Jane was more of a bad influence on Jesse than the other way around? She introduced him to heroin. That was her contribution to his degeneracy. But she was 18 months clean from all drugs, and fell back into it with him. I mean, look at their trajectories before and after they met, and I don't see how Jane was somehow the insidious weight on Jesse, and not the other way around. Not that I believe either of them deserve blame for the other's misfortune.
      If Jesse was going to overdose on that half mil, he would have done it with or without Jane.

You can also see it for a moment lying on a table in the opening shots of the episode "Phoenix" as Walt is about to pull up on the truck stop to make the deal. I realized during the Skylar scene that what this show thrives on is its direct confrontations. That moment when somebody drops all pretenses and tells somebody what they really know/how they really feel and show who they really are. This show is chalk full of scenes like that, and they're always done so well to the point where you're always just like "Damn." afterwards.

    One flaw, those red circles are an alarm... Other Air traffic controllers will get an alarm as well as the two planes so that they can adjust or manually GTFO of the way. It's extremely extremely near impossible for two Commercial planes to collide unless it's on purpose and one of the pilots crash into the back or blindside of another plane. Think about it, one or both of the planes have to see the other plane coming and move, not blindly follow Air Traffic, if they blindly followed air traffic controllers, it's much easier for a terrorist to get that job than get on a plane.

    "Oh Walt, look! That was your fault!"
    But for real, can you really say this? Why isn't the fault of the dude who provoked the accident? Or the company, which didn't check his mental state? Or Jane, who created this situation? Or Jesse, who made the first step? Or Jesse's parents who took his home? Or hank, who made Jesse's parents worry about him? Or Skyler, who made hank search for Walt? What about Tuco, who made Walt disappear? Or Tuco's ally, who made Tuco suspect Walt?
