Man it must have been really funny seeing his last team and relaizing that Zarude counters all of his pokemon. Like seriously Chansey/Blissey are the only ones not weak to dark or grass and they are bad against physical Pokemon. The fact that he let you set up with chansey was just the cherry on top.

6:30 ok wow so temp realized the fight wasn't going anywhere with the seismic toss and not being able to heal enough so he dynamax and Max Overgrowth for the grassy field for double the tiny healing like leftover after each turn AND going on offensive at the same time, very good strategy. I'm not really good at fights but I constantly get impressed with the strats of competitive players and its so fun to watch.

I seriously don’t understand when people go on about how you won because of luck. A decent amount of the battle is based on luck, with damage rolls and move accuracy. There’s always going to be times you get good luck, others you get terrible luck. That’s part of Pokemon
Also Zarude have “jungle healing” in its moveset, so will o’ wisp’s miss didn’t matter at all

These videos make me happy. I'm 35 and still have only played original red/blue and play them once every couple years. I have gotten into a habit now of seeing what kind of odd combos I can think of and beat the game with very low level Pokemon with unintended strategies. Funny to see people so obsessed with stats losing it to someone that understands the game's mechanics properly.
