Pokemon Showdown salty noobs, oh man. Pokemon Showdown salt is not as rare as you might think. Try using a strat that takes a long time to set up and renders the opponent's Pokemon useless. It's pretty likely to get someone mad!

It affect both physical and special moves but, unlike the other 2, will only sent back 1.5× the damage taken instead of 2×)

They had to, Blaze Kick has high crit rate
Crits bypass boosts, so if they crit twice they could cleanup with AS. If they spam AS its just not enough damage to break through. And leading with AS makes the crit reactable

@@Ariizalea It's not guaranteed to fail the second time, each consecutive time it's used the chance of it failing increases by a lot. It's technically possible to get infinite protects but even just 3 is ridiculously lucky.
To be entirely accurate the chance of success starts out as 65535/65536 (or 1 in 65536 chance of failing) and that number gets cut in thirds every consecutive turn it or any other protecting move(like detect or king's shield) is used.

I don't think it would've mattered much since Swoobat is faster. After Calm Mind it gets x2 spdef and charizard would've done no damage with fire blast or whatever it had (at least not enough to get swoobat in range of arceus rock slide)

For those who don’t know. Metal Burst is just like Counter and Mirror Coat mesh into one. The negatives being that it only does 1.5times the damage instead of the 2.0times. It also does not give negative priority. It means you can outspeed your opponent and does nothing.

@@torch3119 Galarian Weezing! Ability Neutralizing Gas removes the effects of abilities. Regigigas is now somewhat usable, even though it's only in doubles

@@torch3119 Leading with G-Weezing and Regigigas, Neutralizing Gas will completely delete the ability, meaning Slow start won't modify the stats of Regigigas. G-Weezing can also pack Taunt to deal with potential trick roomers or other status moves that could potentially ruin a Regigigas sweep

I just don’t understand how people get so salty while Playing A Game. It’s honestly sad. They derive so much value from winning at a GAME that they’re willing to ruin everyone else’s experience out of pure spite. Pathetic, really. Anytime someone acts like this the only thing they’re proving is how weak they are emotionally.
When you're playing against other people, it's socially acceptable to be salty. The people of the hobby in general have decided that it's okay to be salty and toxic instead of insisting on sportsmanship, which allows for behavior like this. If we, as in all of us, decide that's no longer okay, then things might change. It's unlikely to happen though.
Hey maybe if you do this for long enough, you can have series dedicated to a specific person raging, you seem to run into the same people a lot so it only makes sense.

He actually had an opportunity to take out the Malamar in the first match. If he just spammed Aura Sphere nonstop, he would have locked Malamar into using Rest every turn, rinse and repeat until crit.
What I learned from this video:

Its actually so informative to watch temp play because I always sucked at pokemon since I could never grasp move set harmony. I've never even known all the moves that were out there, let alone which ones are good or which should go together. I'm getting a better idea of how to adjust my moves sets for effective battles (against npcs, I'm not going to serve as fodder wins for ppl) and what have in pairs. It also helps me figure out how to branch out and use different pokemon, and/or preferred Pokemon. Thank you Temp6t!!!!!

Out of all the videos I've watched from you where your opponent uses legendaries, the majority of them use brute force attacks instead of using synergy, where moves support or boost the next Pokemon going in. They all just have raw power in their plans.
As much as I personally hate the use of legendaries, I'm sure there must be a team that can boost one another and set up for a sweep. But thankfully none of these legendary spammers seem to understand setting up as shown in their toxic accusations.
Yeah, legends can be used very effectively. The problem here is that these people are morons who lost these battles from the moment they entered the teambuilder.
Kinda weird how he didn't spam aura sphere when you were resting and instead went with Blaze kick, which does less damage the entire time. Like he could've possibly taken you down much quicker
This, this exactly. I've been using a competitive Lucario for a long time now, and relying on Lucario to crit with Blaze Kick was a really dumb move. Aura Sphere having STAB and perfect accuracy could have shut down the sweep quickly
Not to mention, Lucario's base SpA (110) is better than its base Atk (100)

Hey been enjoying the videos. I was a little too old to get into Pokemon but I watched my little brother get into it a bit. Not that there aren't people my age and older playing. Anyway by the time I looked up there were 80 generations of pokemons and too many systems for me to get casually into it, but watching these videos has been really instructive and generally chill. Even if I don't 100% understand the techniques it's still a fun way to get introduced to the balances of the game and really exciting to see that an esoteric team of obscure or undervalued pieces can disrupt a powerful shallow meta like in other games :)
