I'm 34, have been learning about woodworking for 30 years, and I learned about 2 weeks ago that there are rubber pieces made specifically to be wrapped in sandpaper to fit specifically into certain sized grooves to make sanding more articulate. I love how the ways I learned are so archaic, nearly, and that there are so many new things to help make it SO much easier to get a desired finish so much easier!

Growing up in the 60s in the US, everyone had a card table, but it didn’t look like that!ours was a Samsonite, with metal legs - no wood at all. My grandmother’s was part wood, part “paperboard”. The one I got when I got married was vinyl on top. Ours were all practical - seating for guests at large gatherings - but yours is MUCH better looking!
With each project, you're upping your game. Pun intended. This gaming table has a new life with friends and/or family around it. Many enjoyable hours.
I'm one of the two who appreciates the screws lined up. Those little details make a difference.

The brass corners were just the right touch. Great job! I saw a guy who uses the wax sticks by rubbing them in to the wood. I thought it strange, but he makes it work. Hugo is such a sweetie and so patient.
