God only knows how many diets I’ve tried and been in 2018 I started keto and in 7 months I lost 57 pds and was at goal and what happened I started to do “ dirty keto” and that was it . Now almost a month ago I started keto again and this time I only need to lose 20 pds but I feel so amazing and I’m always always full cravings are gone . Life is good your both beautiful woman 🌻🌻🌻

I thought the same thing. So pretty..... but many of us are full of shame because of our obesity. It doesn't help it when family, peers, and television/movies depict obese people as losers.... then we carry that guilt and shame.

I’ve lost 100 lbs and my Synthroid has gone from 127mcg to 88 mcg because of the keto diet. No more Metformin, fatty liver gone. I went 2 flipping months without a lb lost but I thought why go back to eating unhealthy? Then bam , it started coming off. Intermittent fasting helps too.

@@myrnaparedes3475 . I understand how you feel. I am almost 68, with hypothyroidism and I am not having the terrific weight lose that others seem to be having. I have just begun trying 2 or 3 day fasting and that seems to help a little. I just keep reminding myself that it took me years to get this out of shape, so I will take me more than a few minutes to see real improvement. However, I am starting to feel physically better. Less pain walking up and down the stairs and I don't get winded as quickly. Ole folks used to say: "Slow and steady wins the race!" See you at the finish line!😃👍

Thank you for sharing this! Not gonna lie, I cried watching this. I have felt that same shame and anxiety over being so uncomfortable in my skin. I'm going on 6 months keto this month, probably a year and a half in total (this is the third time for me) and I am so much happier with myself that I have finally found the confidence enough in myself to start my own photography business. I am finally allowing myself grace enough to feel proud of myself for once, rather than shame of the things I haven't accomplished. I've lost over 50 pounds now and am absolutely not stopping keto! I allow myself a couple days out of the month where I eat whatever I want, but the next day immediately I am right back on it, no excuses. It's true how we as humans are so addicted to carbs and the sugary foods and stopping that addiction to those foods is so so hard! Thank you! My journey is I'm always gaining and losing the same 3-5 lbs and I'm just in the beginning stages...lost 26 lbs. but need to lose another 80 lbs. I know what triggers me (stress) to want comfort but then it puts me out of ketosis. It's not anything major but it doesn't help the weight loss. I was 125 to 136 pounds from the age of 14 to 23. (I'm 67 now.) But back to back babies and a bad marriage sent me into binge eating and years and years of weight gain. I've tried so many diets over the years and I spent all my time starving and counting the minutes until my next meal until I just gave up. But at just over 300 pounds and telling my oldest daughter that I KNEW that I'd never live to the age that my mother did (91) and seeing the sadness in her face made me want to try again. But my 'tomorrow' didn't actually come until my oldest granddaughter got pregnant with my very first great grandchild. I knew that if I didn't do something I would not be able to enjoy my great grandchildren. And even though that pregnancy ended in a miscarriage I finally started on the very first diet that is changing my life!! And believe me when I say that I am lazy and I'm weak, but Keto/Carnivore is so easy that anyone can do it!! I'm down 42 pounds since March 2023. My excitement that it's actually working has kept me motivated. You young ladies sharing everything that I've felt myself over the years made my heart hurt for you! I am so glad that you started your journey at a much younger age than I did and I pray that you girls continue your videos!! I LOVE your content and fun!! What an inspiration, you two are! I have been living keto since last November 2023. I love the lifestyle and am having so much fun with it. 6 months later I am free of all diabetes issues and my blood pressure is great. I lost 26 pounds the first two months. I rarely ever step on a scale. I look good and feel good. I plan on living keto forever. I watch your channel faithfully for new ideas and to laugh with you.

I am so proud of both of you. It’s really hard to hang your dirty laundry in public, and then to admit why it got dirty is even harder. U2 are the best and you’re keeping me on my keto lifestyle. It was hard work losing 150 pounds and I do not ever want to be like that again, but I get discouraged and you to always perk me back up.
    Blessings

I know the feeling of being so self concious that you can't enjoy those important moments. It's the worst feeling in the world. I have barely any photographs of myself, it's like I was never really here. I'm not doing keto again but I've started a low carb plan and it's not easy and it's probably the 100th time I've tried, but I think this channel may be helpful. The video was very relatable.

Trying on wedding dresses and feeling like a whale made me try keto. I felt terrible all the time and also hated myself. I was ruled by food addiction.i'm so glad I stuck with Keto. I lost over 20 lbs. It isn't as much as I wanted to lose but I feel better. Health has been my goal all along. I've been low carb/keto for 3 years and have maintained my 20 lb weight loss and am not ruled by food. I consider it a success and I don't even miss all of the crappy food I use to eat.
Stick with it! Don't beat yourself up for slip ups. Guilt is not constructive. Just get back on it and make better choices, not perfect choices.

Have lost 60 lb on LC/keto and I still need the encouragement of this kind of heartfelt reality check. Bravo to both of you for what you accomplished and for your courage and caring to reach out a hand to those struggling behind you. You have to get over the "this is not fair....people eat xyz carbs all the time....I just want to lose this and be one of them again". You have to get to the place where you realize keto is a forever life style and not a "get out of jail card". Thank heavens one thing keto does eventually do for you is cure true hunger and allow the cravings to finally fade.

I just recently found your channel and am so glad I did. I was doing so well on Keto - I lost 70 pounds. Then, in August I lost my husband to cancer. I did not give a flying fart in space what I looked like or what I ate. I went right back to my "eat until I feel so full I am sick" way of life. I am now trying to regroup and get back to healthy eating and feeling better physically. I needed to hear what you guys had to say. Thank you so much for your honesty and straightforwardness.

I have a medical issue that doctors can't figure out. I have always been in great shape, ate fairly well, and even started body building training at one point. But now if I go for a jog, I gain weight. A 2 week stint of jogging 3 to 4 days with my kids to keep them active caused me to gain 20lbs in a month. Not a thing about my diet changed. For 2 years I counted calories and macros, lifted weights, tried various workout programs and would always gain weight with exercise and not lose a single lb with diet. I have been researching keto this whole time, and finally decided to give it a try 3.5 months ago. I've only lost 10lbs and only have 10 to go, but this video was extremely motivating... and no one would consider me obese. It doesn't matter what your journey looks like though... this video was so refreshing.

Thanks for sharing this. It’s been such a task for me to off load the burden of society’s expectations for how women should look. I’ve found that apart from that are my values about how I look. But in the end it has been my health that has pushed the button for me. I guess I just had to get scared to say goodbye to some of my beloved foods. Thankfully keto allows you to say hello to some satisfying alternatives.

My husband was at the top of the stairs and he said “ good-bye, have fun and I love you”…..I stood at the bottom of those stairs and looked up at him and said “ how could you possibly love me when I don’t even love myself”?
That was the defining moment in my life because I often thought about hating myself for getting so heavy BUT I had Never said it “ out loud” until then……That was my defining moment!

I have hit a wall for the last three months, no weight loss but no gain either. I want to lose at least twenty more pounds. I know I can do it. I am much, much older then both of you, I only have a few good years left. For them to be good years, I have to be healthier. Overweight, tired and retired are not a good match. This made me cry 😭 am 18 year old and around 180Lbs I don’t know how many times I’ve done diets and gave up , but started keto and walking around 2 weeks ago ,not seen any changes but just waiting and still motivated. I’ve struggled with weight loss for such a long time but I hope this time it’ll be a win.

I’ve only just come across your channel and I’m loving it. I’m new to keto after a long time trying to lose weight on a high carb diet. So I’m trying this way of eating. I’m on my second day. Also doing intermittent fasting.

Beautiful video and story. I too can see the sadness and defeat in both of your eyes in prior videos compared to now. Its amazing the difference you both have gone through not just physical but mentally. It truly shows. Much Love to you both!

I'm sobbing from this video! The feeling of important moments being clouded by insecurity. It's heartbreaking and a feeling I know to well

Wow. This was so real!! Emily, I understand how you feel so much. This is most of my life. I am 5’10” and very much obese and this really helped me. Thank you for being so transparent! This helps me understand what I was experiencing and feeling was real and not just me being pessimistic as people always accused me of being. It’s real. But you pushed through! Sharing this gives me hope. Thanks so much.

I am crying watching this. I had lost so much weight last year- this year 15-20 pounds. I feel like a cow now all the weight is back- my body is huge. My self esteem is low. All my clothes are ultra tight. Although I have accomplished MAJOR THINGs last few months I am not celebrating this . Thanks for your honest transparency. Really heart felt video
