It is clear what Tesla has done. They have put immense pressure on the overall automotive market. The result is products like this. Competition is good. At the end of the day, the customers are the winners.
This is coming from a long term Tesla shareholder and CyberTruck AWD owner.
Great review. Keep up the good work.
Love this comment, level headed and well said!
I met a Cybertruck owner at the home depot, we talked and he said you wanna kick it? Can I kick at the Silverado?
The issue is that the "competition" can't make this vehicle for under 200K. Even though they'll sell it to you for 100 or less.
They can only keep this up so long ... the truth is, Tesla is an engineering and manufacturing master. Their vehicles will always be cheaper for similar quality. Or better quality for same price, so while the vehicle may seem appealing to you, it can only exist like this for so long, and when GM fails to get costs down. They'll can it, or raise prices to an insane level.....
It's already happened. Most manufacturers have stopped producing all the models they promised, because they can't make them for a profit like Tesla can
@@sportbikeguy9875 I already read this same stuff from an article in Tesla magazine. The one with elon's picture on the front cover.
The fact that a new vehicle is coming out with CCS in 2024 is a fail in of itself. Who would want to buy outdated technology on day 1?
Two things:
GM NEEDS to make a Colorado/Canyon sized version of this, including the mid gate and the 400+ mile range.
I will go complete and utter teenaged fangirl if I opened up the frunk on my Colorado EV and Kim popped out...
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E.
This is what the cybertruck was supposed to be in terms of range. I love the midgate. With it, I am sure someone will make a tent for it, and you will be able to use the truck's climate control to keep you cool or warm.
I agree, I’m making my diy truck bed camper for this purpose.
Totally agree. This kind of range is why the Cybertruck was a compelling product for me. This is a way better option for my use case.
The problem is whenever a manufacturer describes their products as best in class the dealers immediately markup the prices. I'm sure GM will be losing money on these with a 200 KWh battery pack. I expect these to actually be listed by dealers for $115k or more for the fully loaded version.
But at that price, customers would just run and get a cybertruck instead that starts at $60,000
@@AR-rn8ok No Cybertruck starts at $60k. And you are fooling yourself if you believe it ever will be at that price point.
No worse than what Tesla did!
@@AR-rn8okThe $60k Cybertruck doesn't exist yet. When it finally does come out, it will be 2wd, have a smaller battery, and only tow 7500lb.
@@AR-rn8oka $60k cybertruck won’t even have close to the capabilities as the better tier models or this truck. It’s like buying a Walmart version of the truck just to have the looks.
When my 03 silverado finally gives up I'll get one of these electric beasts!
This blew me away to be honest. Would NEVER have expected Chevy to be one of the most forward thinking in the EV Truck market. This is wild!
Tesla by announcing the cybertruck 5 years early, they gave a chance for these other companies to adapt and not fall too far behind. It’s a nice truck with an extended bed but can handle slightly lower weight. Now if they join NACS and the tesla supercharger network, they will be doing their customers and shareholders a big service.
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
More PJ please. thank you.
I agree 😆
@KimJava. You’re so great together. Your analysis are fantastic and both of you are so articulate in your reporting.
The 440 miles of range combined with the 350kwh charging speed, is what a truck needs to be for people that tow campers or any trailer long distance
100%
Will take time for the charging facilities to be built.
If u are towing that 440 mile range will actually be about 150 miles
I wonder how it would do with a 40 ft 5th wheel toy hauler 🧐🤔🤷
@TheTradosaurus yes but the cybertruck@ 340 miles of range will only be 110 to 130 miles of towing range. Which means charging to 100% to get to the next charge with a 10 to 20 mile of cushion. That's what I don't like about towing with my model Y. It may only be 70 to 80 miles to the next charger, but to get there with 20 miles to spare, I end up having to charge to 95 or 100%.
GM would need to go directly to the consumer before I would consider buying one. Buying my Model Y Performace was painless, but on the flip side, I have never had a positive experience with Ford or GM dealers
Go read about the Tesla buying experience on Electrek now that Tesla has slashes sales staff. My last vehicle purchase took about an hour from test drive to taking it home.
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
Best ev truck by far. Very impressive what Chevy has done. Wish I had $100k for a car! If/ when this gets closer to the $60k mark I’m a buyer
Maybe put 10k on invidia before it splits - maybe not
CHEVY 200KW BATTERY RIDICULOUS... to charge will cost the same as a Gas Truck ,plus 2 HOURS, charging NO Thanks
@@dolbyatmos866 most of the time ppl will be charging overnight at home. Battery pack size doesn’t matter, it’s the same economics. Matters what the efficiency is, not pack size
Silverado EV is made by Shitty Motors.
Educate yourself before you comment.
Chevrolet/GM has done a great job with this truck. I am waiting for the GMC versions (an upgraded Sierra EV Elevation) which I think I can "out the door" at about $60k.
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
Other than the drawbacks from the huge battery (weight, cost, space), this is a really well designed vehicle.
looks like most box utes
@@flodjod true, but a lot of the details are different, and they matter.
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
I'm a Tesla owner, and I love it, but if you want an electric truck, I think this is the one to get.
CHEVY 200KW BATTERY RIDICULOUS... to charge will Cost the same as a Gas Truck , plus 2 HOURS, charging NO Thanks
Unless you're buying an EV to tow at distance on a regular basis, $100k to drag around this massive battery everywhere you go makes no sense.
are you sure you are Tesla owner?
The issue with this truck, is that it costs gm way more to make than what you buy it for .. so it will only exist for so long
@@dolbyatmos866 How big will the battery be on the extended range cybertruck? Close to 200kw as well, is the cybertruck also ridiculous?
The Cybertruck charging curb is ridiculous as is. Imagine after adding the range extender.
Great pickup, particularly if you need to tow. The great aspect of the Cybertruck is that it created a non-traditional pickup to broaden the market rather than joining the three traditional models.
They get points for that midgate. That's something every truck should have as an option at least. The camping possibilities are huge.
Very nice! In a couple of years, a used one will go for about $55,000. I’ll wait til I can afford that.
And the battery capacity will also be reduced.
It will be really great when it has NACS!
One issue I see is that with all these huge trucks and charging station stalls being so narrow, there will be door dings.
@@Resist4 Hopefully stalls will change mostly to pull throughs and a bit more width in the future. Let's advocate for this.
Where I live, there are far more CCS plugs than NACS, so switching g ports will be a downgrade.
@@TroySavary And that is all changing. But until then just do what every else does and get an adapter.
@@brianbeasley7270 I doubt charging stalls will get wider, just like parking spots have not gotten wider, In fact they have gotten more narrow to squeeze more vehicles into the landscape.
GM, ( now gm ) pays for these pressers - travel, meals and more. Some TH-camrs who were at the same event did stick their necks out and commented on the squeaks, rattles and level of plastic which is in character for gm products. All in a $100,000 truck out the door that also weighs 9,000lbs!!! "WOW" or "WTF" mode or whatever cute acronym gm places on it's performance mode - thats a dump truck or garbage truck we're trying to be sporty with! Efficiency? Nope.
There's also the question of #s in production. Tesla tried to find a niche that could carve out a group of buyers ( traditional non pickup truck folks ) that was significant enough to get Ford, gm and Ram's attention. Mission accomplished. History proves out that gm categorizes Volt, Bolt EV and these new EVs as halo products, thus building 25,000 - 50,000 units/year at a loss. They make up their capital losses in low emissions credits ( that they don't have to pay Tesla, Rivian or Lucid ). This is why they are willing to lose $80,000 per EV after sale. Plus, it builds up their knowledge base in case THEY ARE FORCED to build EVs by a future Democratic White House.
Tesla really put legacy auto's trousers in a bunch with moves like Cybertruck. Ford is building Blue Oval City in Tennessee and developing the T-3 EV pickup and losing gobs and gobs of money while appeasing the UAW and backing off on current EV products. Its fun and confusing to watch all at the same time. General Motors puts tons of engineering muscle and equity ( remember Volt? ) into products they have no interest in mass producing - its crazy! They sell 1 million + Chevy and GMC ICE trucks each year.
Your lack of negative observations ( clunky tonneau, big weight, low comparative efficiency, complicated midgate, etc. ) is excusable because your channel is a business. Chevrolet and gm will have more products to review and you won't be invited to these events if you critique. But also, as a big fan of your brand and channel, I ask you to please interject more objectivity. The glowing reports on your neighbor's Fisker Ocean, for example...Us EV-heads knew the Ocean was a train wreck and smirked as you tried to point out it's positive aspects. Same with Vinfast.
I'm just speaking out for a big part of your viewership who look to you guys for guidance in the EV shopping experience as newbies. The Fisker never was a decent option for Model Y by any stretch. I do appreciate positivity though. We do know, however, that these traditional OEMs do not want to build these EVs en masse, its not their bread-and-butter and its only Tesla's success that will push them to do so in earnest.
Thanks for your perspective and being a loyal viewer. Really appreciate your insights. To be clear, these events are not paid for but the companies but do cover travel expenses.
In fact, in every single one of these video where PJ and I attend car events, we pay between $2-$3,000 out of pocket to a child sitter who watches our 3 kiddos for the extended days we travel cross country for videos.
Rarely there are female auto journalists at any of these events, and even more rarely are they there with a partner.
Additionally, critiquing the brand or being negative about car maker almost never results in not being invited to these events, just not how it works and there are plenty of auto reviewers out there who prove this.
With that said, we definitely felt like we had some fair criticism on features we noticed in the limited time we had with the trucks. From Ui lag to cabin noise, but other things you mentioned other reviewers noticing were not observations we made. No squeaks, not complicated to operate the mid gate.
Also important to note that it is pretty difficult to gain a deep impression on any product after just driving it for the first time a couple of hours earlier.
In the case of the Fisker…very similar, shared impressions of what I experienced in my few minutes with the car, not intending to bash a neighbors, especially based on software updates which according to owners I spoke with have dramatically resolved a lot of their concerns. I try not to form any pre-conceived perception based on previous reviews of that vehicle, and frankly I don’t look at other people’s reviews very often for that reason.
Your insights are important and I will definitely think about how I can be more objective, but from what I saw in this truck, it was better in more ways than not vs the competition.
Thanks for watching and the support!
@@ItsKimJavaI have no issues with your review. I consider a 9000 pound truck ridiculous. The whole net zero mantra is an outrageous lie. Did you know that six 10 minute fast chargers is equivalent to powering 300k homes? Or to achieve net zero would require more copper than ever produced? If you want to buy electric vehicles go for it. But asking other taxpayers to pay for it,No. The regulation forcing adoption,no.
@@nordlandak6853A 9000lb truck “ridiculous”🤔………..so you find ice HD trucks ridiculous, good ta know!
🙄👈🏽
@@nordlandak6853 Check your maths please.
Six 10 minute charges at 300 kW is 300 kWh of energy.
If the average US home draws 1.25 kW (2020 figures) then 300 kWh could only power 300/1.25 = 240 homes for one hour. Three orders of magnitude less than the 300k homes you stated.
DANG!!! Well said 💯‼️🎯🎯🎯
Taxpayers on the hook as usual. These electric vehicle ventures are a TOTAL FAILURE. Expensive vehicles for people with more money than sense. How’s the battery degradation?? Before an answer… BS !
For me it's the best EV truck😍😍. The drawback is the price, but it gets almost all the Hummer EV features for much less $. I'm glad you had reviewed it!😊

@@xeridian have you seen it personally? It's bigger than an avalanche
@@xeridian ha ha I love it.
Good to see the focus on a bigger battery for a pick-up, has less restrictions, closer to traditional gas trucks. Perhaps will drive Tesla’s and Ford to give an option for even better range under load and faster charge rates. Not too keen on all the crevices for dirt and salt to collect in the rear end. Those sail defectors should be removable when moving appliances or tall cargo. Thanks for sharing.
All that space in the bed, plus the usable frunk, plus the longest range plus the acceleration, I am sold!(chevy like a rock 👍)
I'm glad that the OEM's are finally taking EV's and Tesla seriously. Now that there is competition I can see Tesla all of sudden announcing that through a software update the Cybertruck can now do 500 miles of range and the price is $20,000 less and later this year you can send it to Home Depot to get more sheetrock with no driver in the cab.
I am so glad you said that about the buttons, people make too much of it. When you get use to it, that’s all it takes, it shouldn’t be the reason to buy/not buy a vehicle
I disagree… but different button strokes for different folks. I LIKE have a few buttons again!
@@Yanquetino I can’t fault you…to each is own :)
I honestly really like the look of this truck. :) Thanks for sharing an in-depth look at it!
Whelp at $100K I would wait two years and buy one for $30K
Exactly why after 4+ years I cancelled my Cybertruck. The Silverado/Denali EV is far superior in every way! And quality is waaaaaaaaay better👌🏼
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
The use case for this is towing. If you don't need towing then, Cybertruck gets it(not sure I could give up that outstanding turning radius or steer by wire). If you want everything else a truck can do then Tesla is the one. I'm curious what its going to be like when that range extender comes out. Time will tell. As Mr. Thomas says competition is good and I'm thrilled that chevy is making all their big names electric!
I LOVE the digital mirror!
Loved the safety seat in my former Cadillac…vibrating the seat to alert/indicate to the driver is the best solution for this, IMO. Way better than beeps and other noises.
I really prefer the familiar look and feel of the Silverado. I haul sheetrock. I haul tile. I haul plywood. I tow trailers. No question, the Chevy is the EV truck I would get over the others. Just wish I could have my dream EV, which would be the Silverado with 48 volts, drive-by-wire, and FSD. Better yet, an EV Suburban with all the best Tesla features. I can haul my 4x8 sheets in the Suburban, and they don't get rained on.
Maybe GM will adopt FSD. Not holding my breath on a cyberVan.
SuperCruise works better than FSD. You can actually go hands free. Also, you can ose the tonneau cover and carry 4x8 sheets out of the rain with midgate open.
I’d go Silverado utility attached to the bed, and Cybertruck UI
I had an Avalanche. It was a great truck but That sail panel is a PITA if you’re trying to load something
Less of a pain than the full length sail on Cybertruck.
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E
I always like to hear Pj's unbiased opinion of other vehicles compared to Tesla's or any other vehicle.
i just got a bolt and i love it. i want this truck so damn bad
yeah i might be biased since i own the cybertruck but i don't like it.
Owning a Cybertruck invalidates anything you have to say about trucks.
What is the safety rating ?
Of course it's got over 400 miles of range, it's got almost double the batteries of all the other trucks. I mean it weighs 9000 pounds, that more than an HD truck! 😯😮😯
The Silverado EV RST impresses with its design and performance, particularly its outstanding range and towing capacity, redefining the standards for electric trucks. Good review! Keep doing ur thing! 😍😍
😂😂 The KimJava seat at the end
Not sure if this format is new from you guys, but i really like it! I knew the price going in, but i still watched it all the way through for the full review. Great job, very professional.
Ahh thanks. Just trying something new, he’s good with numbers and I’m good with the other stuff so it seemed to work well.
The viewpoints of the 2 of you was complimentary. It gives a complete overview of features and a good contrast VS competing vehicles from 2 people versed well in the EV space and everyday users.
I love them all. All the American EV trucks are so wonderful in their own ways. To chose which one is the best is as difficult to chose as choosing which one of your children is your favorite child.
What’s the point of a truck if you can’t pull a trailer because it cuts the range in half!
GM really stepping up the game ! They knocked it out the park with this one ! Absolutely ❤ it !
You two are becoming the best EV Reviewers. 👌
Glad you like them!
Let's hope GM isn't losing so much money on their EV's like Ford is to have them also pull back on EV volume like GM has also done on their first round of Ultium based models. For example, that battery must be a massive cost for GM and to have a competitive price in the market will be very difficult.
Now they just need a shortbed single cab version in all trim levels
Keep doing what your doing
LOVE my model S, but FINALLY AN ACTUAL EV TRUCK. Tesla dropped the ball on their low range cyber truck with half-baked features and a battery pack you have to glue on later to get the actual gd range people need. Love how the Cybertruck looks, but it is an embarrassment that Tesla is letting Chevy run away with this. An actual frunk, an actual drop gate (not just renderings that never shipped), and great features like the digital mirror and not the useless rushed junk Tesla schatt out. I would seriously consider driving both, but THIS is a truck.
Glad you and PJ got to check it out! I am not in the market for a large truck but the midgate design seems very practical and is something I would love to see included in a smaller truck, like the Ford Maverick's size.
Am I the only one who would feel guilty buying an EV with a 200 kwh+ battery? Feels just as bad as a gas guzzler at that point. To me, we should stick to smaller and more efficient EVs until battery tech improves, which it inevitably will with more time. What is your feeling about that?
This is such a good product, I'd certainly buy one, even though it's not a Tesla, the range certainly wins me over, for sure, and it looks good as well.
WOW! I’m a Tesla Model 3 owner, but if I needed a truck, this would definitely be the one!
The 240 volt is only 30 amps while Tesla’s is a full NEMA14-50 50 amp outlet. The Chevrolet must be a different outlet.
I'll need to see some real world test of the actual range, and how far towing a full load. Also, I wish we get full size long bed again.
They broke the mold and broke the bank at the same time!😂
You can tow the bank around with you.
Nice car, hope will be easy to keep running and charging available .
Great video, I would have liked to hear more about the tech, Like FSD and things if it has it
Were the measurements that Chevy displayed in that demo with all the boards, were they accurate? Or were they guessing. ?
I don’t think consumers will switch to Chevy Silverado because of what dealerships do once they obtain the truck. The price gouging and mark ups will scare the consumer away as apposed to tesla and rivian who provide a price and stick to it (relative statement since we have seen Tesla and Rivian change their price)
The low speed hum is for pedestrians and required for all EV's by federal law.
I would never get a regular Silverado. Just not my thing. But this EV Silverado is awesome! I want it!
We have an a Ford F-150 Lightening. I can see several improvements and a couple of negatives. The range is the biggest benefit. 215 kWh is HUGE. 350 kW charging is also HUGE. I also own a 2024 Corvette and that new Android-based infotainment system is LAGGY like this Silverado. The bed flexibility is nice. We really need to see towing range tests. Price is high, but, that’s the trim.
What are your thoughts on the new infotainment system, same as the one in the new traverse
This has a larger battery and great range. I'll go for one of these. The only thing is what's the warranty when the ac compressor goes out in 5 to 12 years from the pick up. How expensive will the bill be for serviceing the pick up. Things to just consider. It's a nice ev pick up near tech. Just something to think about. Never know especially in hot cliamer the ac compressor will work harder to stay cool and that can lead to less life of the ac compressor of the pick up truck.
In my opinion, this is the best electric truck on the market. The range is number 1 and midgate is number 2. And thank god they put the charge port on the correct side for supercharging. Especially on big trucks you most always back into parking spots so it’s perfect.
CHEVY 200KW BATTERY RIDICULOUS... to charge will cost the same as a Gas Truck ,plus 2 HOURS, charging NO Thanks
Not sure if it's actually on the market for purchase yet
I own gas a few Chevy Silverado and a big die hard fan ! No one understand truck better than Chevy Silverado for sure . I didn’t even know Chevy Silverado had EV that just come out but it is such a niceee beast looking truck ! I can see many truckers will buy them especially gas cost a lot these days ..
_As a Tesla owner and investor who will decline delivery of my cybertruck,_ if I were to buy an EV truck today, based upon this video, Silverado is the one I'd buy. I want this RANGE, UTILITY and I want to RIDE HIGH for the best visibility. *But....can gm scale it at a profit and will the dealerships jack up the price?*
Whilst I'm a dyed-in-the-wool Teslateer, right from the outset at the reveal, CYBRTRK has never struck me as a practical truck, and it's more of a lifestyle Chelsea Tractor than anything else; this is my primary criticism of CYBRTRK as I feel its design does very little to drive the overall transition away from ICE to EV, although I wish Tesla every commercial success with it.
The Silverado and Ford's F150 Lightening, on the other hand, are the complete opposite. Entirety relatable, practical, and unlikely to alienate potential buyers, both EV experienced and non experienced alike. Since there are literally 10's of 1,000's of fleet vehicles that are trucks, or Utes as we call them Down Under, I don't see many fleet buyers opting for either CYBRTRK or the Rivian R1T, but the other two aforementioned vehicles are excellent candidates and are more likely to expose more people to the benefits of switching to EV from ICE, both in the truck & car sectors, driving electrification of transportation further and faster; something that's desperately needed.
Kim and PJ's comments about differences in practicality are quite interesting given how the Java household is such a Tesla fan base.
I love this design and would be a buyer IF it had a gasoline or diesel hybrid.
Yep. Love this truck. Great review and discussion of truck. Never thought GM would catch my eye. Only problem is paying 100K for a pick up truck. Everyone is pricing their trucks out of range of reasonable. Too bad or I may have looked at this one.
The modularity is actually traditional for trucks. If anything, the other EV trucks are what broke the mold (i.e., stepping away from past, modular truck designs), which is partly why they are so limited in options and so expensive to repair.
A few haters in here but this truck is what I wanted!
It's what the Cybertruck was supposed to be.
“Our Love runs deep in a Chevy” 🇺🇸
Is there a 6 seat option?
One honking big battery i must say! Wish Tesla Cybrtrk had a bit more , like 160 Kwhr ,then it can tow more, and the mid gate does make sense.
Very nice dizain
Please compare the turning radius of Silverado vs Cybertruck using a u-turn situation.
Badass truck! They need to move the charge port to the front.
So far this is the only EV truck I want Rivian is nice but it’s to minimalist for me. I want some physical buttons, lots of space, lux interior, and long range. This truck ticks all the boxes for me where I need a truck occasionally.
The Lightning is still more budget friendly being $20k cheaper. But there is also the Canoo that's even cheaper, which will be the only US built Kei truck style truck on the US market. Also the van version of Canoo has the same feature and capability set as the London LEVC TX
Buttons?? That’s sooo 20th century! I loooove it. Simple! You don’t need a physics degree to figure out how to use the radio! It’s old fashioned but old fashioned is GOOD 👍👍
Not when you are on the path to bankruptcy. "The best part is no part". Just goes to show that nothing has really changed when it comes to the chain of command and how things are done within the legacy auto manufacturing processes.
Tesla is closer to bankruptcy than GM. Why do you think they are desperately slashing employees
WOW! I’m a Tesla Model 3 owner, but if I needed a truck, this would definitely be the one!
This looks like the first ev truck that checks all the boxes.
Wish it wasn’t so expensive$$$😱😱!!
A Suburban version of this would be 🔥🔥🔥
It’s coming. Have you seen the upcoming Cadillac Escalade IQ?
isn't the Hummer SUV similar in size to a Suburban?
The overall design is a mere updated chevorlet avalanche
So Kim Java is making commercials for Chevrolet now. I wonder how much Mary Barra is paying her?
$0 compensation, sad you feel that way as this video (along with every other video where we travel away from our kids) cost about $3k in childcare and expenses to produce. 🥹
Best 100k pick up. Period.
Miles per kw?
Kim Java, both you and PJ do great work! I’ve been a Tesla person since 2019 and 4 Tesla’s, think it’s time to try something else, though I’ll miss FSD for long distances. Though the only car I’ll ever drive from NY to Florida is my Plaid, Model 3P took over 12 stops , Cyber truck likely the same amount of stops-No Good. Elon cheated us with the CyberTruck - Both you and PJ , keep up the great work!
Seems like a nice truck. But i will have to respectfully disagree with one comment made in this well put together video review. First, mid 70k to just under 100k price tag for an EV truck roughly the size of a regular ICE 1/2 ton i don’t place in the affordability area. The average household income in the United States doesn't really line up. (see US Census Bureau). Vehicles are depreciating assets. Don't become beholden to financing any vehicle for 60 or 72+ months just to make your monthly payments work. If "you" are considering a financing term for 60 months or more, that vehicle is probably out of your price range. Great content as always Kim.
Kinda wish they includes retractable side steps
The GM reliability has yet to be seen who bad it will be. There are a lot of items where GM can show with this unit where you may need two of these to keep one on the road. I have to admit as a huge truck it look great. How much of this truck is made in the US?
i hope you guys enjoyed Detroit. it is on the Up and Up.
That was our impression, pleasantly surprised.
Another great episode! Love this channel!
Thanks so much!
Yah. That’s great. But about when it’s 20 below? Plus it just has a bigger battery so it will take longer to charge. Charging is a pain in the ass!
I'm not sure 0.38 drag coefficient is a major achievement.
It's actually 0.33.
Do you know the average Cd for pickup trucks?
The styling is amazing. Let’s face it. A big boy still wants his Tonka Truck but a real one that he can sit in and drive and this is it. This also does real truck things and more which the Cyber Truck doesn’t do. You can pick up building materials with this truck and build an extension on your house where the Cyber Truck says I’m too cool for a car yet too rich for a job.
I hate the "Sail Panels" that's a killer for me.
They give me Chevy Avalanche vibes :::cringe:::
Well there's the Sierra EV
They also need to call it what it actually is, an AVALANCH-E and do the Midgate/Sail bed legacy Justice... This is not a Silverado, but there is a lot of love for the Avalanche and is the best truck they ever built with the best motor they ever had. They need to make a proper Silverado for people like yourself.
Great video thanks for bringing it to us
400-mile range for GM means they packed in the battery cells real tight with little room left for battery cooling. If they're not using LiFePO4 battery chemistry, then it's only a matter of time before Chevy Silverados start self-combusting as Chevy Bolts did. So, don't be a bleeding-edge buyer of this unless your insurance company covers battery fires.
That said ... I still own my Chevy Avalanche, which I bought brand new in 2001. I'm glad Chevy finally brought back the mid-gate. It really is nice when hauling 4x8 plywood for weekend DYI projects.
What a great truck. Wow. Amazed. 🎉❤
